As someone who plays Kyoshin, and who's friend heavily plays Orochi, you have to rely on the full block mix ups and the undodgables. He didn't throw a single undodgeable out of the five or so that would've hit, plus with the full block he shouldn't be taking that many storm rushes. I just know that Kyoshin can't be happy with this fight.
As a person who frequently plays both kyoshin and orochi, that kyoshin was doggy poo. It’s very clear that he uses his hyper optimized character as a crutch. The only way things could have been a better matchup for him is if his opponent was an aramusha. Kyoshin counters orochi in so many different ways it’s hilarious to think he even lost
@@dalesmith4015 for real, that orochi was almost out of stamina many times. He could've kicked him or faint the kick into GB. Idk why he doesn't use kyoshins whole moveset.

How he gets caught by Orochi Zone is beyond me, when it's a raw opener. It's an extremely obvious opener. Considering his enemy is a champion known for fast lights. Entering Full block stance is best the moment a light is blocked due to that tendency.

can you please do a beginners guide for the season including everything abt armor and maybe what characters are meta etc.? please do I just got the game so I have no idea
There are no meta characters, well to me it’s not, if you work on defense and your feints you should be GOODT. About the armor it comes with perks that you can use on the battle field, as in and endurance perk, a hero kill perk, and there are others. You have to max out the perks with the armor so your perk can activate. You find better gear by basically playing online. You can also change how it looks once you get to a certain lvl with that character.
Theres no such thing as meta, plays what you enjoy and focus on it, it's a game at the end of the day isn't it? Pick a character you find appealing and try it out. Kyoshin, Shaman and Black Prior are my favorites simply because of playstyle and looks, and i have the most fun playing them instead of looking tierlists. Playing by "the meta" I'll tire you and keep you away from the real fun and experience.
Check out Freeze and MarcoYolo on RUclips, and BarakYEET's tier lists. They have lots of guides and good info. Just keep in mind that the tier lists are usually for top competitive play. For example, Highlander is really scary vs new players but he's considered very bad at high levels. Generally, though, Pirate and Raider are some of the best characters.
TL;DR Unless you're high level the meta won't matter much. Find someone you enjoy and do well as, learn your matchups and movesets, don't obsess about meta or optimal play; for most people it doesn't really matter.
Don’t listen to the people about me there are 100% characters that will give you more wins then others usually character in the heavy category have the best perks look up some tier lists

Great Video! I love the way these 2 fight and reminded me why I love For Honor. It combines videogame physics with real life movement that fights can be sooo cinematic, at least for the viewer, being the one behind the controller can be rather stressful, lol. Also, Belated Happy Birthday Nox!

If you ask me orochi is a better character than kyoshin so its nice that the kyoshin was actually able to keep up
They’re both pretty balanced. But when you start researching competitive players and how they play, Orochi goes from being S tier against me to C tier or worse against pros. His only mixup is kick/storm rush, his kick indicator is 400ish ms due to fade in, which is reactable to really fast players and his storm rush indicator is 366 ms, which is way too fast for me, but trivial to someone like blitss or other pros with 150ms single stimulus reaction times

In all fairness kyoshin is a pretty bad hero they do such low damage from stance but his out of stance heavy’s are pretty avarage only thing he has really going for him is his no stamina drain full guard with fast activation

The only characters I respect in the game are Wardens (fucking obviously) and vortigers, be ause those are the only characters who really can't spam to the extent of others, sure vortigers can spam his bash, but it's a 50/50, not light spam or hyper armor, same with wardens bash...

His opponent didn't throw many lights, and he's on Console too. These guys are just the people with the most wins on their respective characters, it doesn't mean that they're really the best at their character in the world. PC comp players will still usually beat them
Not to mention he played like pretty much EVERY Orochi ever and was nothing but light spam.
