I played the original City Car Driving on a Disk back when it was only available in Eastern Europe, but i never played the digital versions, which are more updated than the one i had on a disk. I'm kinda excited where the sequel will go, but i'm really excited for its competitor, CityDriver, because it looks nicer in my opinion.
Yeah CityDriver does look more interesting, hopefully it does release when they promise!
Why does city driver look more interesting? Not trying to question you I just didn't see anything that made me chose one over the other...although having a choice of two makes me happy
CityDriver's trailer actually shows real gameplay and there's gameplay footage here on RUclips. The trailer for City Car Driving 2 is just some pre rendered footage and it's just a car driving down a straight road. At the moment there's a lot more info available about CityDriver

@@cnsmooth The fact that it has interactable Apple Carplay like screen displays sells this game to me I love that kind of interactable stuff I really hope this game has mods like City Car Driver does.
Damn it looks good! I can't lie I was hoping it would be a free update, but I would be happy to buy this tbh. I just hope there is an uk map/car option tbh
That is a long time between sequels!. I really wish there was such a "simulator" that used the Google Maps/Unreal Engine combo so you can drive anywhere in every city in the world. Do what MS did for flight simulators for cars/trucks.

Good idea, but it's a lot more difficult than ms flight simulator as you don't really move around the 3d streets.
@@cnsmooth It's 1000% more difficult because of the need for more details up close than up in the air. BTW, an add-on lets walk around in MS Flight Simulator, and you can even walk into the airports. I wonder if there was any way to incorporate streets view photos into making 3D streets look better. Maybe AI can help generate it? Has anyone seen what the new photoshop version does, it's amazing.
@@BillC-64 I reckonnat some point in the distant future your idea of using Google Street View will come into use. I'll probably be dead but that time but could you imagine how cool it would be?

The first City Car Driving never worked for me :/... So I'm quite excited for this one!

@@SimulatorAdventures I never tried it in VR, but everytime I tried launching the game it would give me an error. Was never able to play it :/
I always wanted to play CCD since 2008 but I was too young and couldn't buy it, and after 15 years now the 2.0 version coming out just brings me nostalgia and hype.

Minimum requirements? I have the CCD1 in a decent laptop: 16gb ram corei9 processor, nvidia graphics card, logitech g29 + shifter and it runs awfully! Very choppy and impossible to ride in some areas. Any comments?
We don't know yet, but it will almost certainly be a high spec requirement. Think minimum 16gb ram, modern i5/i7 and an Nvidia 1070 or 2060 minimum

Not really. Using a keyboard won't help you learn anything other than the rules of the road

I tried city car driving once but for me the physics and the graphics didnt work out
It is a very dated game and the graphics and physics have not held up well

City Car Driving and BeamNG aren't really comparable. City Car Driving has much larger maps and does a better job with AI traffic. Despite its problems it's still a good real world driving simulator
