The thing that amazes me is that the people who buy from Kruk seem happy with their purchases based on their feedback even though they’re buying like 99%+ common. Great video. Thanks.
I inherited a storage building full of sports cards from 70’s thru 90’s of all the major sports. I don’t want to deal with this stuff. Is it worth anything in bulk or just take it to the dump?
Kruk advertises in Beckett magazine, and I've seen their ads pop up on card websites. Also John Kruk was a baseball player for the Phillies in the 90's,that may be where you're getting that from.
In the early days of my channel, I used to be able to go over to his store and find some great 8 x 10 autos for not very much. Had some good players on them, and then I could in return have some items to put in contests and giveaways, or add to the auto collection.
They have a huge following and a lot of credibility, I doubt small sellers trying to sell bulk commons would have as much luck realizing those prices, this is similar to Greg Morris getting premium prices for cards that sell for much normally.
Kruk cards has been around forever. I have been dealing with them since the 80s. They use to advertise in all kinds of magazines before the internet. I have been a dealing since 1986 and a collector since 1974 so of course I would know the old timers..LOL I have also set up at 6 National Sportscard Conventions since they started it. You get to meet a ton of people at those.
this is quickly becoming one my favorite sports card channels - nice work. Where do you get the 400-800 ct cardboard boxes at a reasonable price to ship lots?
Thanks for the kind words, I'm glad you're enjoying the content! I usually buy boxes from my local card shop so I don't have to pay for shipping. Otherwise, your only option is buying them online.
Nice video. Never heard of Kruk Cards either until I came here. Am going down 'rabbit holes' to see how different people sell in bulk/sell non stars/commons/base cards. 😁 I have a ton from the last few years, but not selling for 15.00 per 5,000 lol. That's A THIRD of a PENNY PER CARD (.003)! 🤣
That video is up to 999 views now, probably from watching your video lol. I watched the interview, but only could for the first few minutes, it was so painful. How in the world did that kid get that interview?! It also helps to be consistent on RUclips as well...he has a hand full of videos, and they're all from last year.
payroll will be around 1 mil for that crew, they are not making 70-80k a year each playing with cards while working for somebody else. these are $15-20 hr positions, and that is being generous since its a lower cost location in MI
@@ApexCardsLLC Yes, of course, some making 100-150k and some making 30k, probably around a 50k average or less. At the same time, they are located in an area without a hot labor market, so hourly wage is lower. S20-25 an hour would be stronger salary in that situation, where that is entry level if located near or in a major city or metro area.
Very interesting. I am an up-and-coming bulk tcg reseller, and the main marketplace for tcg cards, TCGplayer, is rumored to be adding sports cards this summer. Since I'm already selling on there, I've been thinking of adding sports cards to my other product lines. Have you heard anything about this yet, and, if so, do you have any thoughts?
Welcome my friend :) - I had not heard that about TCG Player adding in sports cards, but I sure hope they do. I love that business model and think sports cards would do really well if sold in that manner.

Great video good info! I have tons of bulk commons

That's exactly why I kept saying John Kruk! My mistake! I realized it myself after re-watching the video before uploading!

Very cool. I've heard he's very accessible
Kruk has done some great deals. I've bought thousands of dollars from them over the years on ebay.
You scrolled past a sold lot of 50 1987 Fleer Will Clark cards for $41 (at 11:24) - imagine seeing that back in 1988 or so...
This is fascinating! Thank you for making a video on this topic. You definitely a gave fresh content in a world of stupid 2022 Topps rips.
Glad you enjoyed it!
for people like me, it would take me weeks just to get my commons divides by sports, and then by eras...seems like more work than it would be worth
Great analysis.
Thanks Erick!

"guess who's got tons of those? Ya boy" 🤣
Great stuff, dude! Love your takes.

I'm a big fan of Kruk cards, they're a class act! I was very impressed by their business model.

I buy starter sets off kruk cheap. I love starting sets from bulk lot commons.
Very informative
Glad it was helpful to you!
So my question is shipping cost. Packing 5,000 lot for $10, Im guessing it would be $15 to ship. Is this your understanding as well?
Have you considered sending a pallet of sportscards to them? Do you think you would make any money or is the shipping cost too high?

Yeah it's a pretty cheap price but if you have a TON of worthless bulk, atleast you get something!
This is true.
I've bought a lot from them in the past
Kirk cards is just down the road from me. I’m definitely going tongue to check that out. Thanks for the info.
I'm not sure if they have a retail location or allow visitors, but if they do, make a video of your visit!
@@ApexCardsLLC will do. I’ve walked around there where house a few times…it’s pretty crazy
Amazing content dude! Thx
Thanks so much for the kind words. I'm glad you liked it!

I bought 100 1985 Mcguire 85 USA rc cards from them in 1988..
I paid $3 per card
They sold for $200 a piece in 1998
Guess Who got a bunch “ ya boy “ 😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂
most desired category at Kruk, POKEMON
by a wide margin.
For sure
Hockey is more expensive than other sports
Sure is!
Nobody buys "commons". Who would?
Kruk Cards Does!
Repackage into blister packs with stars on top.
Got ripped off by Krut!
Great video
Thanks brother
