this song made me feel so vulnerable and existential. the hysterics in the vocals and the production overall is just beautiful and masterfully crafted. this reads to me like a prequel to IDMTHY. amazing job quad :))
judging by the lyrics, it has to be a prequel. i assume this song (in terms of chronological order of events) leads us to the start IDMTHY aka sorry4dying
I mean it was scrapped from idmthy. I feel like in the storyline it takes place before fantasy world because he's at his end and wants to give up, and then in fantasy world he gives up and ends his life
@@silaee yh ur 100% right. fantasyworld is obviously the better song, yet this song feels more aligned with fmty. it makes sense bc idmthy is technically a continuation of fmty, right?

There's definitely a chance it's unrelated but to me this song gives me the impression that it's an IDMTHY track that didn't make the tracklist. In concept, this song seems like the character from that album had just died, and is coming to terms with leaving his humanity. It also seems like he's interpretting himself being a ghost as an error, or like mentioned in previous tracks, a "posthumous glitch", and that error to him is a moment where god was human. If this track has nothing to do with IDMTHY, i'm a bit lost as to what this meaning of this track really is but to me it makes the most sense when interpreting it from the perspective of a ghost.
The song is from idmthy, scrapyard is literally just scrapped songs that didn't fit the vibe or just direction of Idmthy and his new album. This song is definitely more of that. The one with brakence for example is obviously more techno, and very much seems like a song for a new project that didn't make the cut. The songs that feel eerie on scrapyard are most likely tracks that didn't make the cut for Idmthy. I feel like it would take place before fantasy world though, it seems like he's genuinely like about to cry in the beginning leading me to believe he wants to stop being human and be something else which is where fantasy world and sorry4dying come in as he transcends into a ghost.
Duscutter was confirmed to be from before idmthy, so what you're saying isn't completely true. A lot of songs are not from idmthy. I don't really agree with the comment above you tho.
I make music (not on this account) but im assuming most of these songs were made before IDMTHY which gave him the main idea of what IDMTHY needed to sound like. Some were throwaways from IDMTHY (which i think this song is) And some were after IDMTHY (like Texas Blue and Wa Too Many Friends) which will probably sound similar to what his next album will sound like Sometimes it takes only one song to inspire a whole album, and scrapyard i think is: some songs that inspired IDMTHY, songs that didnt fit the idea, and some made after with the style still lingering in
@@silaee I just leave it up in the air bc not every track here was meant for IDMTHY. While it makes the most sense to assume that, I also could see this track existing as something else separate from that album entirely
