Come to think of it, we did have to orient our 5 backyard hens where to go at night once they were feathered enough to go out…then gradually, they started using their roost. They are not laying yet as we just received them in March. I have them on around equal parts a fermentation of oats corn black oil sunflower seed…cat food,grower food, mealworms and fresh fruits and veg. Fantastic coop.🌈😃🤙
I totally agree with you about the 164 ' rolls of netting. I have 2 rolls around my chickens that I attempt to move alone. It is very difficult to work with by myself as I am a very senior citizen and the muscles aren't what they used to be!
The egg mobile is great the flooring is very good idea it lets air inside, so you have over 100 chickens how many eggs do you normally get? We are raising DeKalb Brown chicks as future egg layers, like you we have people wanting to buy organic eggs, very good video I always love your farm
Around 112 birds in there but some of them are juveniles and not laying. Before this last heat wave we were getting 50-55 per day. Had a good laying rate. Thanks for watching!
@@SheratonParkFarms one thing I haven't done is check the conductivity/volts of it yet. Especially compared to other fencing. I did have customer service contact me about an out of stock product. They switched it for me and I received everything the next day! So I will say kencove customer service is fantastic
I find that if I carry a jug of water along when I’m fencing and the post won’t go in easily, pouring a little water on the area makes the post go right in - slick. It loosens the hard soil.

Always move it at night and you won’t have any problems

I got kencove this spring and I like it much better than premier1. I haven't been impressed with premier1 products lately.
