Can’t think of a modern day Moz song that doesn’t follow the Ramones’ ‘second verse, same as the first’ ethic. I mean, I’m sure they exist but can’t think of any….
I think the sub-70s Rolling Stones music is ok, and Mozers voice is ok but the subject matter is just a bt sad as there is no truth to it and truth is what Moz was all about
@@alexbacalu6688 I thought Moz told us to stop watching the news... Ask anyone, I mean anyone, out there in the real world whether they thought Notre-Dame was terrorism or not and I think you'd find everybody's in agreement. I have no idea who the grain are in relation to this song...
"Everybody being in agreement" as an argument is precisely the problem. I think this is also what bothers Moz. This is also why we should stop watching the news - they've become propaganda outlets that repeat the same message in unison, instead of investigating and debating.
@@alexbacalu6688 tell me what on earth is profound about these lyrics or this song? it is AWFUL. just because he says something daring doesn't mean it's accurate, eloquent or interesting. just like with the Manchester bombings, he goes on as if no one ever spoke about it or cared about victims. I lit a candle in Notre Dam many years ago, I have much solidarity with Moz here, great tune too.
It was you that caused the fire!
It’s lovely. Brave. Beautiful and reflects the time.
Does it reflect the time? How?
@@tom210493 ah what could that be??
May the Church of Rome look over you people of France and Spain and Belgium and Ireland and Poland and all, may you all live forever.
Notre Dame, We worship faithfully without tyranny.
Love it 😊
Love it
Gorgeous guitars on this one, I hope Carmen in the band pulls Morrissey in this direction more and more 🙂
A eulogy. Release it.
Aged well
This should get an Ivor Novello

Eh? The second verse is not the same??
@@Chrisamusic1 it’s quite a repetitive lyric, at least give it that?

you work fast! Love the track but the lyrics... not only are they pretty uninspired it seems like another one we'll have to defend to the death!
Truth is worth defending. Moz is one the few brave artists than dare going against the grain and defending it during recent years.

How is this the same man who wrote 'amid concrete and clay and general decay nature must still find a way'?
We all get stale I suppose

Morrissey has always been a realist, just because you're blind to the muslim problem is not Morrisseys fault, it's yours.
