I thought I had lost my best friends when you guys stopped making videos. So glad you're back. Huge inspiration for me. My transmission probably wouldn't be working without you folks. Seriously. Thank you Theresa and Richard
It's great to see you starting to relax and enjoy the work again, the audience appreciated the attention to detail you show, whatever you wish to share will be watched avidly, you have the same work ethic that Warren at western truck and tractor repair has, it's superb content, whatever the future holds we will hopefully be experiencing it with you ,
Hello Richard and Teresa, I’m so glad I found your new channel. I really missed you guys explaining things about different trannies. Looking forward to future videos and wishing you both the best in your new venture. Watching from Perth Western Australia 😁👍🇦🇺
I like the electric impact, you can still talk over it and I can understand you. With the air you have to consciously stop talking and that can interrupt your train of thought.
Hi Richard I like seeing somebody work on the older I got my start in 1955 on the old cast-iron powerglide I recently cleaned out my garage and I found five or six turbo 400 remember the later 400 used to break the wave plate what a disaster I love GM products they can do such dumb things and it goes back to the thirties with the Old knee action
I loved doing automatic transmissions I was tough 30 years ago my teacher was great he would always say know your power flow on anything your working on I found that to be very helpful but he was a great teacher as you are thanks for taking thank you for all the Great content as usual always looking forward to the next one 👍
Hey! 1k subs! That was FAST! Can't say I'm surprised. ;) Congrats! Now making the videos starts to pay some bills - not a bad thing! By this time next year it'll be 100x that I'd bet.👍👍 Been a long time since I operated a TH400 - 27 years to be exact. That was the best transmission I ever owned - it was built pretty stout, and used to kick the rear end out sideways on the '78 Cutlass it was in whenever it hit 2nd gear with my foot in it. Lots of fun! I couldn't afford to drive that thing these days. Gas was .88 cents a gallon then, and I was struggling to keep filling that tank, lol. $15 a tank adds up! 🤣 I'd burn up 5 tanks of fuel a week in that thing. Good ol' days!
So if this trans did no work, why did the clutch friction material come off the discs? Has the trans been sitting with water in it before he put in the valve body, or were old waterlogged clutches used in his rebuild? You were not clear of the cause of the drum rubbing in the back end. Is that a build error? I have been missing this sort of teardown, glad you are back on the table.
GOD bless you Theresa at about 2:50 in video...Richard on this tranny if you changed that filter you took out of the unit more frequently instead of replacing it with that screen high flow filter could you get away with it with more frequent changes of the filter???? To have a better filtering system overall.
No sir the factory filter won’t flow enough fluid to support a performance transmission That’s why we go to the screen style performance transmissions we service very regularly at least we do
Richard and Teresa - good evening. Speaking of filtering I have a 1992 F250 7.3 IDI with an EO4D two wheel drive and was toying with the thought of putting in an external tranny fluid filter in addition to the internal one. Your thoughts? I only have 60K miles on vehicle with no issues. I hope to buzz on out maybe this year and have you do your magic on the tranny - I am in CA. Love your videos and glad you are back.

Could you use a mechanical modulator from a military humvee instead of blocking the modulator?
You sure could If you could get them to hook it up right carry out
Just found your new channel. What happened to the other shop?
❤these videos
Great video!
Thank you very much thank you for your support

I would not put a filter in the cooler line Just keep it serviced
Does Cody work with you? I don't see the aqueous washer? Why did you downsize the shop. It looks great and the videos are top notch.
We hope someday again
I notice a car in the background. Are we gonna see a car transmission teardown maybe?
No sir just a service
Look at the sub. Numbers
Only way is up, there is a need for this
How come the TH350 is weak and never got built up to take high power like the 400?
A 350 you would have to build up a stock 400 Would handle more than a built up 350 just not worth doing it
Why did you start a new channel?
