The pen sword being a normal lidded ballpoint pen is a book detail... they changed it into a fancy gold click pen in the movie to make it look cooler i guess?... But it's just a regular cheap pen in the books. It's supposed to look REALLY ordinary ...that's kind of the entire point of it hiding in plain sight lmao.
The Mist doesn't render things invisible, it just makes them look like something or someone from the normal world. Running away would have meant leaving Grover behind, because he was injured, and couldn't run. Monsters detect/track Halfbloods by smell, which is what Sally asks Grover before taking Percy's jacket. And despite being a "child", Percy is still a demigod, and has some level of innate power(s), including, if you rewatch the scene of Nancy going into the fountain, you see the streams of water actually reach out and grab Nancy, pulling her into the fountain. So, while he technically didn't "push/touch" her, he did subconsciously use his power over water to "pull" her into it.
Oooh, love the new intro. My wife and I just finished this series last night. We both really enjoyed it, though we did think the episodes were too short. I didn't love the actor playing Percy right away, but he grew on me a lot, and I really liked everyone else. Very much looking forward to more. Neither of us have read the books. We saw the first movie many years ago, so didn't remember it well. Never saw the rest of them.
wow I'm surprised to hear that! I thought walker scobell was the standout of the cast for sure, he embodied Percy perfectly and is a great actor for his age
Been reading the books together with the wonderful podcast by Mike Schubert called "The Newest Olympian"! I truly recommend his podcast both as a "book-club" to read along with. He's also making episodes with the series now (and has interviewed a lot of the people working on the series). I'm excited to see you react to this :)
@@hikari9262 it was good, just hoped for a series instead of a movie they would take more time to explain some Things. Like what the thunder means or the neckpearls or names have Power. The series is just as long as 2 movies would but that is probably not the directors or authors fault but disney for giving less time/episodes. But it is much better than the movies a few years back. The books are the Best but that is never a movies/series Fault 😄😃
I enjoyed this show, but I feel like not many people are interested in reactions to the show. At least it seems to do not well on other reaction channels that cover it.

Don't know if you caught this but the actor for Percy also played young Adam in the Adam project!
I did! I loved that movie.

One just little critque: in the last Episode: why are there no people on olymp??? It looks so empty and dead, Even the underworld looked more "alive"
