Todd Gurley - (age 27) hasn't been good for going on 3 years, LeVeon Bell (age 30) hasn't been good for going on 5 years, Zeke - (age 26) hasn't been Elite the last 2 years, Mccaffery - (age 25) has missed most of the last 2 seasons due to injury. That's why you don't spend a 1st on an RB.
I mean all those teams were great with those rbs and had a chance at a superbowl. I think its a great cherry on top. Imagine buffolo with breece or walker, scary
Al those backs you listed look at the amount of touches they had before getting to the nfl then go look at some of those backs OL mccaffrey, saquon, even Gurley the OLs they ran behind weren’t all that bro
? stupid take tbh. adrian peterson proved worthy. barry sanders too. zeke. emmitt. marshall faulk. i could go on and on. sometimes to get a blue chip, you gotta take a swing early. does this take apply to qb's too? because they bust even FAR more often. besides, all u can control is those first 4-5 years of the contract, and gurley was a beast those first 4 years on the rams. as a seahawk fan, i clearly remember him being a problem, post-LOB.
@@shade8174 Why are you comparing an RB to the most valuable position in football? That doesn't sell the point at all. What is the difference if an RB is picked at 33 vs 32 for all of you militant anti-RBers? The fifth year option is hardly used anymore so don't go there. So one spot on the draft board is enough to placate you guys? A fantastic RB prospect like Jonathan Taylor is fine if chosen at at 33, but its a goddamn sin to draft him at 31? His real value to the Colts is first round value even if they don't decide to give him a second contract. Very good RBs can be difference makers in some schemes. Marshawn, Derrick Henry, Jonathan Taylor, LeVeon, AP, etc. They can provide more value to their teams than some a guard or safety or DT picked late in the first round, but its become dogma with you guys.
I doubt Chris watched the RB interviews. I don't know how you listen to Breece Hall speak and not be impressed. He is cerebral, stern, intimidating, and confident.
Such a big fan of Chris. I’m glad he praises Walker as no.1 cuz he’s my favorite in this class. Also happy about Pierre strong jr and Jerome ford because I like strong as a top 5 back and ford is close.
i am a big fan of his qb evaluation, not really the other positions tho. he always take the fastest physical specimens. my no.1 wr and rb are not even in his top 5 aha. i am with u with jerome ford. he is right there with the top rbs. my no.1 is Rachaad White and i got Isaiah Spiller after that. i think white is the most natural effortless runner in this class. if u havent watch him, check his clips.
@@dodu8281 I could see that, but those guys are good it’s just neither of them are rb1s. Spiller is like a shifter Jordan Howard and white doesn’t have elite speed and his lack of physicality limits him to a gadget or scat back. Again, good backs just not top 5. This is the year for RBs! Last year was QBs. Unfortunately for RBs, we seldom have some taken in the 1st and 2nd rounds. This top 5 including the honorable mentions, can be starters at the NFL.
Next year is the year of the RBs. Bijan Robinson, Jahmyr Gibbs, Sean Tucker, and Zach Evans to name a few. Bijan will probably be drafted in the 1st and maybe Jahmyr too.
I agree on your top two but flip the order. You never even mentioned Hall's sick spin moves. Also, give me the guy who reminds me of Jonathan Taylor vs the Mixon type. Lastly, Hall is bigger and catches the ball like Larry Centers. As for the other 3, I like Cook but his teammate should be in there over the other two. If Hall and Walker are gone in before pick 50, give me Zamir "Zeus" White in Rd 3. PS- Breece Hall can actually play on pass pro downs.
Apparently he didn't watch much Notre Dame film. Williams was the only RB in college last year with than 1000 yards rushing and 300 yards receiving. Oh and he did this behind a poor offensive line in the first half of the year. Put in the tape of his 98 yard TD run.
Love the pod. The more I watch of this running backs class the less I understand Chris' pick at no. 5. Davis-Price has a solid frame to be a NFL power runner but everything about his game is incosistent. I don't see great speed, movement, vision, 3 down ability. Honestly I'm shocked by this pick. Everyone else in the top 5 I get, they all belong there or even in the conversation. But there are lots of players in this RBs class I like a lot better than Davis-Price. He's in the 20s of RBs on my list and I wouldn't be shocked if he wasn't drafted at all.
person, I think what happened was these dominant runnning backs that everyone was so in love with would get hurt and nine out of 10 times. the replacement was putting up nearly the same type of numbers. the 6 at
I like JK Dobbins for the Ravens but wouldn't mind if in the 3rd they get a RB to maybe replace justice Hill. Plus would help to have someone who is healthy right now
Keaontay Ingram looks good to me. He played for USC and his last three years for the University of Texas. He’s very close athletically to Kareem Hunt to me. He’s got speed and power, change of direction, and can catch passes out of the backfield. The Chiefs could take him in the 6th or 7th round. He’s 6’0, 215 and hasn’t fumbled the ball 🏈 any of his four years playing ball 🏈 at the college level. He averaged 5.8 yards a carry. I’m not sure about his speed.
Chris understands the game....at such a level...I get it... Bryce Hall isn't Walker...I can't put my finger on it...but....I'd guess Hall turns into an average pro....maybe bust.....Walker has a chance to be HOF....depends on the team...but he's a beast.
Walker is a 1 trick RB, albeit he is the best pure runner, he is a liability in pass protection and not an accomplished receiver. Walker is off the field on 3rd down. Basically if Walker is in the game, the Defense knows they are running the ball. Hall is a complete 3 down RB. And is only 20 years old and is likely to add a few more pounds of muscle. The 4.39 is real.
