It’s that simple, it’s not easy and there are and insane amount of challenging variables but it’s simple. Build the best dynasty in college football which then drives up the best basketball program in the BIG-10 every year in the tournament AND in having the most NBA/WNBA 1st Rounders/All-Star Starters/Well-Paid Stars which fundraises so much money that success in every other sport will follow.

Interesting learning about Mr. Chun’s background, seems like an intelligent guy and he seems like a great hire! I am happy Jen Cohen called him and I’m also glad $C bailed UW out similar to when they hired 7 win Sark that led to a huge upgrade and adult in Petersen. And we definitely upgraded our AD from the guy from Iowa (Tulane) and the fit is much better! As a Husky Alum (class of 93) I’m not a coug hater but I feel for their fans that aren’t insufferable which is a small percentage. lol Jim Moore I’m also not a big fan of the current landscape of college football and sports in general because I believe that money is slowly eroding my favorite sport which is college football! Hopefully things will work themselves out where the players get theirs and everyone wins or collects what they deserve including “us” fans that ultimately pay the bills via tv viewing. I also hope the Cougs and Beavers can eventually join something better than the Mountain West because their student athletes will suffer because the lack of resources within their Athletic Department. Congratulations on burying WSU! We are forever screwed thanks to all of you! I can't say how much I disdain University of Washington and Pat Chun. I don't want to be rivals. I don't want to be friends. I don't want to even share the state with you. Chun signed us up for 5 more years of the Apple Cup despite all of WSU's fans wishes. After that I never want to see us play UW again. They don't deserve any respect for the way they handled any of this.

Ana Marie Cauce seems more excited to have him at Montlake more than he is. His friendship with Jen Cohen may be helpful, but I think once his contract ends, he will be gone. Go Dawgs, he looks good in purple, and I am excited to return to campus in the fall :)
He’s an Ohio State graduate and the reason he wasn’t interested in any other job 6 months ago and didn’t interview with UW then is because he was interviewing with his former AD and mentor at OSU and he was one of more than one former associate ADs at OSU interviewing for the job. This is why he mentioned timing. He stayed at wsu for 6 years and now he’s following UW to the Big. If WSU was going to the Big and UW wasn’t he would have stayed at wsu. It’s not rocket science. If the new and current AD at OSU fails and they call Pat no doubt he would more than likely leave. Your comment is sour grapes and you are probably a coug loser without any critical thinking ability. So if Chun is leaving for that gig in a year or two, that probably means OSU football went to shit, which is good news for UW since we'll be in the same conference together. In any other scenario, Chun isn't leaving anytime soon. If he does 5 years and then bounces, that's fine by me, considering today's NCAA climate.
