The thing that's bad about the dog filler is that it encourages less frequent washes of the bowl, which is terrible because it should be washed daily with soap and warm water to prevent bacteria growth

I’m sure that’s a given. It’s not like it will just stay there. Anyone with common sense will clean it as often as needed. It just helps not to fill it elsewhere and spill water by the time you get to the dog area

I disagree, my dogs bowl is on the floor, I fill it with a filtered pitcher but I still pick the damn bowl up to wash it every morning.

Amazing video! The kitchen counter + backsplash is next level. The bigger dog's water bowl may be placed in the pantry room on a protective waterproof mat. Sensor faucets on island-based sinks helpful/must. Black cabinets facing living room but lighter cabinets on sink run, so you get the contrast looking into kitchen but it stays operationally clean. The existing fridge near dining could be glass black grided front or pantry (as you did in one project). Fisher Paykal's two drawer dishwasher needs to be in every home. An Okaysou air purifier placed near the island can help with dust and also VOCs from gas range. Dirty kitchen in place of wine room...window+sink facing backyard, oven facing garage) then wine cava in place of your pantry with glass griding facing living area. Ilve stove steel grids poorly designed too hard to clean, so place Whirlpool slide-in with straight (!!!) grills in dirty kitchen. Your kitchen's composition, counter stools, lighting is beautiful! The dining area is incredible. Thanks for this posting.

Thanks for sharing. Love all the details in the video. You look so beautiful without makeup! Actually, without makeup in the kitchen is very realistic. I feel every corner in the house and every time of the day has its own look style. I don't wear makeup, but I dress well when having my Arabic coffee in the morning when kids are at school even though the fact that I have to clean the house right after. I don't sit in pijama ever so I change several times during a day based on the daily activities 😂

Your home is beautiful Kristen. I figured the refrigerator situation wouldn’t be very functional. Having the fridge and freezer completely separate on either end of the kitchen may have made more sense. Gorgeous home nonetheless!

I have a quick question about Zellige tile from Morocco. Is it worth it? I love the look but is it worth it? You used the color Dust are you still loving it? Love the channel Kristen! We’re doing a custom build and love the Ilve! We’re spec’ing the green 60 Nostalgie and my wife is worried about dust, dirt, debris, food (2 kids ha), dog hair, list goes on, getting stuck under the range considering it’s open at the bottom. Any issues/concerns you’re having? I figured a quick pass with the swiffer every now and then
It’s a non issue for us! I run by stick vac under there every so often but truly, not a big deal at ALL!

Nice set of pots and pans. Unfortunately we all live with dust, and yes, daylight does show it more. Nevertheless, it's a beautiful kitchen. One to inspire and dream of, for days! 🖤

I think the dog water thing was brilliant but the damage to the floor and having to wash the bowl daily to remove the water ring and biofilm ...that one would be a miss for me. Thank you who knew.... I love the kitchen. I knew those separated fridges would be a pia though 😂, as even if you know what’s in each fridge you still have to walk from one to the other to put together a meal. I hear you on the black cabinetry - I have some dark blue cabinets in my kitchen and I had no idea how much more the finger marks would show, I’m constantly wiping them. Light cabinetry doesn’t show up grease marks the same.
I’m worse. I have two fridges in separate rooms. One is the “dirty” fridge where we put store stuff. The other we put our leftovers or stuff that had already quarantined 😆.

Love that you told it like it is and that even though you plan things to the best of your ability, things sometimes don't work out. I have a jowly-faced Boxer and no matter where I put her bowl, she will drip water everywhere. I tried the silicon mat and hated it because it just pooled nasty water and I was cleaning it multiple times a day. I just accepted the fact and take comfort that we have tile floors and it is easier to Swift the mess up.
