So fun fact, when the pods mention six people being connected, the last person in that group is you, the player. Just those little details in the story...Yoko Taro loves to break us with them.
I think when they say "when we six were connected" they are talking about 6 pods. 042A, 042B, 042C, 153A, 153B, 153C. The list can be seen in those moments were they interface with each other and you get to pick 9S or A2. Also, at the very end there are 5 flying pods and an extra one that is being carried by one of them.
@@V_i_vi_an It would've been a nice touch, yes. But it's wishful thinking. There are six pods displayed as active when they communicate, and it is those interactions that they are referring to. When they were all connected (presumably at once). The extra pods being retrieved is canon as seen in the final cutscene.
@@jmameyugo no. That's your speculation. Each pod has copies of themselves, those are the ones we see in the end, and it wouldn't make sense that they discovered conciousness and feelings after connecting with... other pods? Sorry, but you're alone in this. It's the 3 android, the player and the two pods, the 6 people involved throughout the whole story. Their experiences together brought humanity to the pods.
@@V_i_vi_an Feel free to think that! I wouldn't want to ruin your experience. But it is what it is. Six pods you can actually see interfacing in the menu, and six pods in the final cutscene. There is no other group of six connected at the same time at any point in the game. The pods developing a consciousness is the plot point there, in case you missed it. I also thought what you did on my first playthrough, it's ok.
also i wanna say, the choice they give for people to just toss away their save file to help a total stranger is very...tear worthy? im sure other peoples save files got destroyed helping you beat the 'credits' just boom save file gone.
Yoko Taro knows how to make games that are so sad yet also stunningly beautiful. The same guy who tried to sell Automata T-shirts by ripping it off someone and rolling on the floor.
Kind of surprised nobody pointed it out, but the library in the tower is significant because the tower is mimicking the library you visit multiple times in Gestalt/Replicant games. The room at the top left of the stairs with all the figures on the shelves were filled with the bosses you beat throughout the games. The room to the right is where you go to speak with one of the twins, can't remember if it's Popola or Devola right now though. Regardless, the twins play a larger role in the previous games, and that's what they're referencing when they talk about their sins. Emil, by the way, is also in the previous games and played a major role. If you do Emil's sidequests, they're all direct ties to Gestalt/Replicant. And for a fun fact, the reasons for the blindfolds the Yorha soldiers wear and the veils over the operator's faces is that the soldiers are blind to the truth and the operators don't speak the truth. So when the units take off their blindfold it's representing their enlightenment. Enjoyed your reaction. It's always good knowing there's people who actually feel the story as much as I did.
I know this is a year old video but I’m so glad I found it. This is one of my favorite games ever & I enjoyed watching your reactions. A very amazing, beautiful game. ❤
Hello! I'm glad you liked it :) And yeah i know about the menu option, I just preferred being able to select from the paused menu because I could pause knowing I wasn't going to die. It was a comfort thing.
Thank you for sharing! I never tire of people playing this game and going through the conflicting choices they are faced to make. It is a really thought provoking game.
After watching Ending C like the 20th time i now see why A2 cut off 9S´s "2B" Arm it was the reason why he had the logic virus. And if she didnt cut off his arm and then hacked him she probably would have gotten the virus too and/or couldnt get the virus off him
i was playing this game on baby mode and was many levels overpowered. that beginning part with 9S is by far the most bulls*it thing yoko taro put in the game and he KNOWS that. same with the part for 2B. im garbage at that xD despite all that, this game really is a masterpiece. i hope you go back to do the sidequests and other endings and play the dlcs! lots of fun and lore and- well i wont spoil anything but theres a bunch ;) or just watch videos of them thats alright too :P
E is such a horrible yet good ending on soooo many levels. A)You fight soo godamn hard to avoid the total destruction of YoRHa only to do it yourself. Project YoRHa is only complete once all data is destroyed. Your data being the only remnants of YoRHa, destroying it completes the project(you even have to destroy the credits to reach the ending, the records of the ones who made YoRHa). B) The true ending is the one where you destroy your data to help someone, so those "who are suffering because they cannot finish" are not the ones trying to get ending E but the ones trying to get rid of their data to help. C) This was the POINT of the backdoor. Destroying YoRHa allowed for tons of data to be collected and it's destruction to allow the illusion of humanity's survival to perdue. In other words the destruction of the data(YoRHa) increased the success of a new program of androids(rinse and repeat). Very similar to the help given. Player's data is destroyed to allow players to more easily reach the true ending ie. the one where you lose all your data. Hope what I wrote makes sense.
Question. When you finish the Nier series will you start Drakengard? Gameplay is pretty lackluster in the old games but it would be interesting to see a someone react to the series that started Nier.
Play Nier Replicant to understand why Devola and Popola say they have to atone for their sins. I don't want to spoil it but it is literally the biggest shit in the entire series.

I walked away from Pascal's 2 choices and got an Achievement for it 😂😂😂
That's honestly my favorite optional thing in the game. I chose to walk away too xD
18:41 broke my heart when i played this

This is the best reaction to Nier Automata I have ever seen! I cried my eyes out when I got the final ending ;-;

Popola is the one that sits in the office

Did he ever realize he doesn't need to go all the way into the pause menu to use healing items?
Also this might be my favorite automata lets play

45:45 that moment broke me to tears 😭
14:50 seeing someone as peaceful as Pascal having to resort to violence really broke my heart
A2 best
😍🥰🤩

You gotta do a Nier Replicant play through!! But if you do make sure to grab some tissues 😂

By the end of B the game was already a fun ride. C onward made this one of my favorite games of all time
Wow Ending D...
The same Sword that killed 9S the very first time killed him also the very last time.
6:22 saving this voice line because it's one of my favs in the game don't mind me
love it when you make kingdom hearts references in your playthroughs hahahahaha
Haha, I will never stop. It was my first JRPG & Square Enix game 😊
I’ll be checking this game out soon. And the music is so good!
I love 6:37 when you call Titania :D That is really exactly like her!
I beat this game on the Hardest Difficulty in my first playthrough, the worst was the 45 minute Marathon in the first level just to get a Save Point.
That was me on normal because I hadn't worked out the power of the dodge mechanic....
I'm sad the things going on before ending E finishes are not recorded here. Was loooking forward to it. But great video.

well you dont destreoy your data in the sence that now they can transfer them back to A2, 2B and 9S.
You failed the last test

It's not something I plan on playing soon, but I'd like to play them at some point.
You didn't play Nier Replicant I see. I hope you did after playing this. (Just found your channel while looking for multiple reactions to this game)

All of yokos hard work, only for you to learn nothing.
Sad. ;)
Nier Replicant was sad but Automata is quite hilarious. Maybe its just me lol
you failed lol
At what? Giving up save data?
