Extremely important which is why I have an Ariel Rider Kepler on order, which curiously you have yet to review though you've reviewed most of their competitors...
I live in Seattle so there's lots of traffic. Getting off the bus and using my bike is ideal so the bike has to be faster than the bus and cars stuck in traffic on the roads.
I'll have to disagree about the brakes, 20+ feet with hydraulics is not good at all. I've seen brake pads stop shorter than that (Ride1Up V2). I was considering this bike before this video & now I'm glad I didn't make that purchase.
Griffin from EBR here: we have slightly altered our brake test. We used to do panic stops meaning we were out of the saddle, throwing our weight back, locking tires and skidding. We realized that this just isn’t realistic for most riders to do so we’ve altered it to remain seated which is resulting in longer braking distances. We will be retesting several bikes to reestablish a braking average that will hopefully help better showcase this.
@@griffinhales3421 thank you for the clarification, I couldn't understand how hydraulic brakes were stopping at over 20ft compared to previous braking tests where some were getting close to 10ft???
Yet another reviewer that hasn't taken the time to research what he/she is hawking. Contrary to the statement that this bike comes in an L and XL frame, the manufacturer stated this after contacting them: "Our City 1 bikes are one size and fit riders 5'2" to 5'11."
Since I often have to ride in traffic to get anywhere in my bike and pedestrian-hostile area, I prefer being able to go faster under those circumstances, so I need a class 3 ebike. I’m cool chilling at 12-15mph the rest of the time.

I prefer cable disc breaks
More important to me is how many miles, the distance.

Is that indeed a "geared" hub motor? It has the appearance of a direct drive given the dimensions.
anyone know the weight of the Denango Commute 1?
Hello! Complete eBike weight, with battery:
64 lbs on the Commute 1.
Does this bike fold in half
I am debating between this and KASEN RANGER ST.
Does this bike have a cadence or torque pedal sensor? Some newer model bikes possess torque sensors even though being a hub drive motor.
Cadence.
Like the Gen3 The Stride
Some similarities, yes.
Looks like it's a rebranded Pace 500

another ebike without a carbon gates drive
