I was at the game last night. I saw more to be excited about than nervous. The main negatives were: Zinchenko can’t play defense, but we knew that already. Jesus was embarrassing, both with his effort and constant whining. There were positives for the Gunners all over. Our build up play was energetic, precise and potentially devastating to opposing defenses when all guns are firing. Liverpool looked very very good. I’m excited about the prospects of this season. When this entire team gets built and hopefully gels, they are going to be close to unbeatable.
I really don't understand why so many Arsenal fans are unhappy, especially when we have to remember, we lost 2-0 to Manchester United last year in a USA pre-season game and look at the resulting performances in the league a short while later? While I am disappointed that we lost, I also understand it's a pre-season friendly so is not that disastrous, nor can anything really be read into it with so many first team players still out, for both sides. Even though it hurts losing to Liverpool, it's not in any way, a reflection of what happens in the league this year.
Interesting that Barca chose Olmo over Williams. Especially given his injury record and higher fee. Olmo is obviously word class tho and I’m sure they’re doing everything they can to sign both. But… it’s very promising news for those of us who also want Nico
People losing their heads over pre-season games really need to get a grip. These games are purely for fitness and tinkering while you have the chance. Plus some players are not exactly going to be busting a gut so close to the start of the season with potential injuries on the cards.

To be a champion club you must have 2 quality Goal keepers. Look at Real Madrid and Manchester United. We cannot vie to be a Champoin club with David Raya and a backup that is not Quality. Keep Ramsdale at whatever cost. There are enough matches and competitions to use him than having him permanently sitting on the Bench

It's a good thing when you try things out of the norm (Kiwior playing as right-sided CB, Partey as a 6 against a basketball playing side, Vieira isolated on the right) against a Premiership side, and learn that they don't work . Preseason is the time to do those things. Last night's Liverpool is exactly the same team who couldn't win against Arsenal in the League in the last two seasons. They haven't added any significant new players. I'm not worried in the least. Neither Calafiori or Tomiyasu would get turned over by Salah in a real match. And I don't remember the last time any side (and this includes Manchester City) that has scored against Arsenal with possession through the middle. That doesn't happen with any side featuring William Saliba and/or Declan Rice. Nevermind both.

Why are liverpool fans gassing the line up? So what if Liverpool did not have some of their key starters? We didn't have our best 11 on the pitch either. We have players that didn't play that game that are miles better than some of the players we fielded in that match. Stop gassing it up. My only worry for us is that Arteta needs to adapt for domestic comps cause some of these players are just not good enough.
