Thats true, but the basic on the movie is not running from him... but its capturing him. capturing both him and anything he left behind. i also thought it was a bit of a funny part that the french cleaned the mess on american soil. but as for your comment. there's indeed not much to do in a godzilla movie.. it doesnt fall in love or climb buildings.. its too heavy and ugly and simply causes destruction.
this is my 2nd favorite movie on u-tube aswel... king kong one in my fav. list rocks a bit more... however godzilla just owns.. especially the modern one..
@zillatamer It didn't explain everything because it was from a normal person's view and reactions when the alien other, AKA Clovey, enters the city. It was supposedly shot using a handheld camera, so it didn't explain the creature because the normal person didn't know what it was, therefore cannot explain it, so we aren't given an explanation other than the end scene when that older scene pops up with a sattilite hitting the ocean in the background.
Well, I'd say they're only human, humans arent always using logic when it should, it's natural instinct to do the simplest things instead of the most logical.
The only thing stopping Godzilla from killing Clover is Clover's unbelievably tough super hide. Otherwise, in a battle between the beasts, Clover would be dead.

oh it is gonna happen. that why they made an end like that. its an old movie trick. its sequel shall take a loooong time. its gonna need allot of refreshing stuff. and a story that doesnt gonna wreck the movie.

always found that helicopter chase scene bizarre i mean he chasing one copter why the pilot didn't start pulling up over the building while going full speed forward.. eventually he going to be out of jaw range
@SendractsGoezt how many Godzilla films were released in 1998? one... the american reboot so if it says "Godzilla 1998" then it means Zilla, so you now know what "godzilla 1998" means, also "American Godzilla" means the same thing.

Zilla does have atomic breath, he uses it in the movie but it's 'invisible' so it looks more like sonic breath. In the cartoon series that follows it he has green atomic breath to make it more obvious. He's not Godzilla for many other reasons though. :p
its overreacted. and falls a bit too far away from the ''godzilla'' myth/story. however i like the fact that the movie shows that asia did infact call it Gohjira. and not godzilla, godzilla was reform afther. (not by western tho) no they should of cut the part of the whole babies act out and replace it with allot more Godzilla action itself and the movie went a little too comedy for mee aswel.. Pj's King Kong was allot fresher on hot action than godzilla was back then ofcourse.

i think there are 2 different zillas in this movie..notice at fisrt the eyes are redish orange...and at the end the eyes e=are dull white...chk it out
