Reason the string is halfway up the neck, the banjo is tuned in open G, in order to allow you to bar all the way across the fretboard to make a chord, the 5th string had to be half as short so that it would be in tune with the other 4 strings when you bar it

Fun fact about Zelda it's a game based on that man's love of exploring the woods near his village near Kyoto and to think that Bowser isn't the villain but a lonely king who just wanted someone to play with and princess mushroom aka peach wasn't kidnapped, think about SMB3 and the kids you faced, so with Mario his brother the princess and the king all loved happily ever after. That is the honest background from the man himself. As a grown man learning about that factoid 🤯 but dang it, it makes sense. Now the young man runs Nintendo and has done some amazing games bringing other amazing talent like super smash bros, honestly there needs to be a studio ghibli Nintendo crossover for real.

So the music theory part was basically on point of the utility of understanding theory, but I would take issue with just about every detail made to make the point. I think instead the dooo legit learns the songs and then has an incredible memory for remembering songs. His deep understanding of music theory helps him file the songs in his brain easier and learn the songs much faster. He is different in his ability to remember songs. He is also legit an incredible guitarist. So that helps.
