Hello :-). Whereas I was just a young baby 2 years of age back in 1953 I really welcomed watching this video as to what were some of the things trending and going on back in that year. I look forward to seeing more videos in the near future from the 1950s era. Thanks much for the very interesting and informational video. Happy 2022 to New Year! 🌞🎉
That's ironic, because I was paying homage to Jackie Ormes on my Facebook page. She was indeed a trailblazer. Jackie Ormes have paved the way for a lot of black cartoonists. Thanks, reelblack.
I like the language of this: "Achievements by Individuals" not "Black people"...human beings like everyone else. I just happened to see they are men and women of the African American race. 10% of the population then I suppose. This i imagine would be inspirational to many African Americans at the time it was done over 70 years ago. It's inspiring me now. Thank you
Precious history. Your channel is beyond excellent!
I lovingly and respectfully call him The Black Smithsonian!

I love this!!! I actually have a comic book with Jackie Ormes’ cartoon. Hilarious. So accomplished were these ppl.
Thanks for posting this, it was very educational, they never show African Americans back then and all that they've accomplished and contributed.
This was really inspiring. I love this 🙌🏾🙌🏾
I want a Patty Jo Doll! They don't make them like that anymore.
It's important for black girls to have black dolls that look like them
Jackie Ormes dolls are worth a lot of money 💰 now.
Thank you for this.
ATHALINA had best fashionable pieces 🤩😍😍😍😌😌😌😌I’d love one
