FUN FACT: If your a woman and you have the black widow perk you can take him upstairs and sleep with him and kill him in his sleep or let him go in the morning of the second option he leaves a note but is still captured by the legion.
Also fun fact: with this interaction it's confirmed cannon that the female courier is good with her feet, "wink wink"

26:50: There's a (darkly) humorous option if you're both Smart Enough and have a High-Enough Medicine Skill involving Philippe, where you can psychoanalyze him and inform him he has Daddy Issues involving being traumatized by his father and his response is to immediately lose all his foul-mouthed, short-tempered arrogance and immediately becoming a blubbering emotional wreck who lets you stay in the kitchen no questions asked after hugging him.
He goes on to say: "Take my recipes. It won't fill the hole, though. Just remember that. (tearfully) You'll always feel empty!"
Even better, the UI ITSELF _DOESN'T KNOW WHAT TO MAKE OF THIS_ !🤣
Instead of the usual [Succeeded] or [Failed] as it usually does following normal Speech Skill Checks, the game simply responds with [?]

Anyone who thinks Badger's videos are mostly funny because of his friends needs to watch this video so many times. It's one of my favorite videos of anyone, PERIOD. I rewatch it or find reactions to it at least once a month, it's beautiful.
He's funny on his own with his top tier editing. And his friends are also super fun to hear. I love Badger's content regardless.
He's like steak. You don't *_need_* anything else for it to be good, but having other stuff makes it great

Fyi, Stealth isn't _technically_ mandatory in the Sierra Madre, you can disable the 'ghosts' with enough damage and then use melee, explosives or concentrated fire to kill them by dismembering a limb, and you unlock ways to permanently deal with them in an easier fashion later in the story.
Stealth doesn't even work properly for the Ghosts. They were supposed to have 1 perception, but a bug gave them INFINITE perception.
Fun fact: wild wasteland replaces a mercenary group that has a unique gauss rifle with those aliens with the only alien blaster in the game and limited ammo.
Solution: respec the wild wasteland perk once youve had your fun in a visit to the sink's auto-doc
your talking about the YCS-128 prototype it's a much better weapon than the Alien Blaster that's only useful in the endgame

Sidenote, I’m so excited because this is the video that got me into fallout Vegas and made me buy it which was one the best experience of my life. second wife never seen a react video on this and have watch this video 10 times.
I would totally watch a playthrough of New Vegas, or if you really wanna go all in, a Tale of Two Wastelands playthrough.
Tale of Two Wastelands is a mod that ports the entire game and DLC of Fallout 3 into New Vegas, letting you travel between wastelands. It does a lot of extra balancing and tweaking between the two games to make the experience smoother and more cohesive, as well as ups your level cap to 60.
You start off in Fallout 3, and as soon as you're out of the vault you can go find the specific train station, get it back up and running, and start New Vegas' story at any time. (Note that you can't return to the capital wasteland until you get to Freeside where the New Vegas train station is located.)
P.S. if you wanna make Dead Money easier, focus on an Unarmed build, then go through Lonesome Road first until you beat the deathclaw named Rawr. It drops a unique deathclaw hand that can be turned into a super strong unique Deathclaw Gauntlet.
That hand counts as a quest item, so if you wait to craft it, and start Dead Money, it will remain in your inventory. Then you just have find a workbench to craft the Fist of Rawr and tada, Dead Money is so much easier.
I'd be very interested in doing this!
@@KipReacts I recommend doing two saves for a playthrough. One where you can use built in cheese like Fist of Rawr, another where you save Lonesome Road for last and just use the command console to get through Dead Money if you are on console. So much more of Lonesome Road makes sense if you have saved it for very last, meaning beaten the main game and every other DLC first.
Side note doing a playthrough without Wild Wasteland can be as trippy as playing with it. I use Wild Wastland like 80% of the time so I get used to the crazy crap that it just starts screwing with my head that other 20% when an event doesn't happen.
@@truekurayami I personally don't take it at first as I find the Alien Blaster's ammo problem to be honestly the thing that makes it worse than the god-tier ycs/186. Then when I go to Old World Blues and get to choose traits again, I grab skilled for the third time and Wild Wasteland to make shit wild.

I love that Mr House is played by Renee Auberjonois and Andrew Ryan by Armin Shimmerman. DS9s Odo and Quark respectively. Always connected, those two.
Fun fact: It was cut from the game, but there was originally an option to release Benny from the Legion camp, untie his hands, only for him to try and betray you once you both got to safety.

Seeing chat say who they side with, or who the "best options" are is why the game's so good, and why so many of us love it, the game's gonna be 13 this year and people still discuss who they think is better for the Mojave and why, there's so much to the game that I'm still learning new things about it to this day!!
I believe you can actually get the Chinese Stealth armor, but its buried somewhere in Hoover Damn. So you have to have good rep with the NCR to get deep enough in to find it. Alternatively, if you have the Old World Blues DLC, it also has a stealth suit you can obtain
ya but that "Stealth" suit is annoyingly chatty so I'd rather go with the Chinese Stealth Armor

can't remember what my build was called but I put more into Intelligence, Charisma, Perception, Endurance & Luck making Speech & Intelligence checks much easier and got me the best loot in game I think it was called "Silver Tounged Devil"
I always put 10 into speech and perception, the rest goes to endurance and agility (so 1 strength and intelligence).
I put in 7 strengths, 1 Perception, 8 charisma, and kept the rest on 5
I just remembered in the end game I was able to talk down Lanius/Oliver at the end playing Legion Lanius was not to happy I let Oliver live and Oliver would be impressed I talked down the Blade of the East
for me i had a specifally planed build and routine where i put ALL my points into speech and science and nothing else till they were maxed did good springs to prim area cliff dance to the wild wasteland ufo get the blaster and dance away all the sloan deathclaws.
go to Old world blues dlc and 100 percent that with science and speech while maxing medicine and repair then do Honest hearts to pump more levels and stats again using speech to win then dead money to get the final best gear and all the gold then lonesome road followed the rest of the game.
with stealthsuit with the triple radiohalos and a fully upgraded holorifle makes the rest of the game a breeze but leaves open ALL THE STORY CHOICES.
For me it's speech,guns and lockpicking

21:54 I like how the Boomers' origin is that one of the Vault-tec bunker experiments was to overpack a bunker cheeck-to-jowl and give them ALL the weapons, so when they left the bunker, it was 20 guys with makeshift clubs and machetes up against 100-200 Rowdy, Frustrated, cooped-up vault-dwellers with dozens of every armament under the sun and a hundred-year-itch on their trigger fingers.
These Gun-crazed maniacs then heard about an old abandoned military airbase with artillery and bombers, and decided that that place was meant for them, took it with little trouble and have kept blasting high-explosives Ordinance upon Ignorant Savages ever since.
The Chinese Stealth Armor is indeed obtainable in New Vegas, it’s hidden in a box, in a room, in the bowels of Hoover Dam.

Yeah, i thought that was odd when i watched the vid originally. in my playthrough I was idolized, liked, or at least neutral to every faction except powder gangers by the time it came up to take back nelson. so, since i had a squad of ncr with me, i made my companions wait outside, and let the ncr soldiers take on the legion by themselves. they wiped out every legion in town without losing a single soldier.
Chinese stealth suit can be found in a random box inside Hoover Dam but it's broken. The suit does offer a bonus to sneak but there is no stealth field.
Kip saying stealth is required for Dead Money is funny because it is nigh impossible due to the ghost peoples glitched perceptions
I played ALL the DLC; If Dead Money is the one with the bomb collars that's unnecessarily long and tries to convince you NOT to take gold, I believe stealth is only required ONCE, and it's in a place where stealth is hard as shit.

30:00 My favorite part about the Powder Gangers is that they run out of a Vault, where the Vault Experiment was Red Vs. Blue; two administrators, a set of red keys that open red side doors and a set of blue keys open blue side doors, and watch the isolationism thrive. This has led to the Powder Gangers, who escaped jail and took over the place for its sulphur reserves, being divided between staying as fugitives(Red) and turning themselves in(Blue) all because of a long-ago self-slaughtered bunker in a quest aptly titled "Why can't we be friends?"
To this day is still steal all the gold in dead money by shoving it throught the force field and running around to collect it before leaving.

I love the lore in Dead Money, but god is that a hard one to get it. You can see that they learned from that dlc, cuz the three after are better paced. But all four are great.
I thought Dead Money was the 3rd DLC because of the chronological order of events.
@@truekurayami you'd think, but no, release order was Dead Money Honest Hearts Old World Blues and Lonesome Road. Although narratively HH doesn't really tie in to the other three (beside the plant vault) so you could play it before the others and have no real changes. Not that it matters, the way the story is told, doing OWB before DNA wouldn't ruin anything anyways. LR totally gotta be last though.
@@IKMcGwee I do HH first and DM second, just because DM is hellish on an energy weapons courier who doesn't do melee or unarmed at all, so I need the extra level ups and perks to get to a good enough spot to go into the Madre.
The Mysterious Stranger just shoots people when he shows up. Miss Fortune though has different random effects that can happen, like for example she can detonate any grenades an enemy has in their inventory.

Mercy is a god tier weapon, 1-2 shots of the weapon is enough to knock down almost any enemy the rest of the shots are to kill them while there down, and with how fast it shoots and how wide the splash damage is, any enemy in front of you wont be able to hit you.
Your more at risk of killing yourself, but thats par for the course for an explosives build, the only downsides are you need a good set of armor and a alot of 40mm because mercy just burns through it.
and 25mm apw is great because its cheap to use, not enough damage to kill yourself, but enough to kill small to medium boys, and is another ammo type to use
The fat man sucks, complete waste of space, in doors it has too much of a risk to kill yourself in 1 hit and no amount of DT will stop that without a godly amount of endurance, and for long ranges you can just use annabelle, less damage but more accurate longer range and less weight.
From where you're kneeling, this must seem like an 18 karat run of bad luck. But, the truth is, the game was rigged from the start.

Wanna know a secret? There’s a reason New Vegas is the last GREAT Fallout game…because it was made by Obsidian, but Obsidian was founded by some of the best of the former Black Isle Studio…so they are Black Isle Studio, and Black Isle Studio made arguably THE BEST Fallout games fallout & Fallout 2, yes Obsidian technically returned to their own franchise, and who knows it better than the guys who made the first 2.
The tragedy of Obsidian's poor treatment for New Vegas is definitely something I've heard about. Which is a shame because my dad loved Black Isle and the old Baldur's Gate games and turning into Obsidian they still made great games.

Enlighten me, cuz it’s more Bethesda’s poor treatment of Obsidian by handicapping them, they were given an unforgivingly tight budget, and an impossible goal given that budget & time given, they were supposed to have a game on the market in less than 3 years from Fallout 3’s release, with about an 87% rating, and they depended on the financial bonus that would’ve given Obsidian, however they had 1% less & as a result they had to let go of around 40% of their staff. The Outer Worlds was what New Vegas could’ve been, if Bethesda allowed a more flexible timeframe & budget.

@@KipReacts Very true, also they were given strict instructions to ONLY use assets from Fallout 3, and they still made a great Fallout game, even fixing some bugs Bethesda couldn’t fix in Fallout 3, meanwhile…The Elder Scrolls with guns (Fallout 3) is well not a Fallout game, lmfao.
stealth isn't mandatory for Sierra Madre, just bring some way to regen health like Rad Child or the Phoenix implant (or the cannibal perk...). Energy weapons also are really strong in sierra madre, because they start you off with an energy weapon so good it rivals the best guns in the game depending on your build
I never liked Sierra madre to be honest, that DLC was waaaaaay to hard for me. Having to balance out stimpacks, and shoot enemies that don’t die unless you cripple them, let’s not forget the gas and the collar, to much for my smooth brain to handle.
The MOMENT you mentioned the Sierra Madre, I froze up and a tear came to my eye as I remembered all the pain I endured. If you do that, then good luck

If on you play Xbox 360 you can hotkey different ammo and use any gun so get 10 luck and MaxOut energy weapons and the alien blaster can and will kill anything and everything

Never heard of it, i always spec in to be a silent assassin with my silenced sniper rifle and one tap every SOAB in the head from a 500 yards distance, causing me to not lose a lick of rep, but still gain the EXP.
What i'm saying is, if i saw someone on the road (or indoors) and they were not an essential quest NPC or Merchant i can unload my septic truck of loot at, they don't keep their head for long.
If you'd like to watch more Fallout content, I'd like to recommend the channel Nerbit. He posts weekly challenge videos mainly in TES & Fallout, and is both funny and bloodthirsty, given the sheer satisfaction he gets from murdering the Omertas and Railroad. If I were to recommend a starting vid, it would be both parts of Fallout 3 as Abraham Lincoln.

Mr. House is the reason Vegas wasn't obliterated by the bombs. Said Great War that ended civilization was only a delay for his plan to turn the human race into a spacefaring civilization - this plan still would go through if you side with him.
He's the only reason Vegas exists at all, too. Just twenty years ago he killed what tribes he didn't like, kept the remainders, built that wall and boom, there's clean water and power again.
Putting up with his shit attitude is a small price to pay to no longer be a wasteland.

Anyone who plays Fallout Without Wild Wasteland, they're simply playing the game wrong and should be ashamed.
I've only done wild wasteland once. All 300 plus playthroughs have been with other perks.
Idk if you've played the Big MT DLC, but AFTER you do, you should look up the unused ending for it.

I have a buddy who has highly recommended it. I want to do New Vegas vanilla first before I go into modded runs. I will be sure to keep everyone updated on requested playthroughs, especially when my new schedule launches tomorrow after the new model is revealed!

The guy behind it has a vast array of challenge runs of New Vegas, usually restricting them to a specific weapon or armor/weapon combination. His .22 Pistol video is my personal favorite solely for the humor. He's really fucking funny.
