It wasn't long ago I saw a video picturing canned dog meat the North Koreans were eating. I probably saw it on Suchomimus because he is one of the few who comes up with that sort of thing. In any case, the dog meat they eat is from a breed they grow for that purpose. Big white fluffy dog. Two cans of Korean rations featuring greasy looking dog meat was shown. I wouldn't eat it even if it was beef. The Russians didn't want to eat it either. They may have changed their minds by now.

Actually what this shows is two things. This is "consumer" grade food apparently much like one would expect to buy at a supermarket. On the front line generally one would not expect be getting these sort of items. Why not? A soldier, especially in this conflict can't be setting up a stove due to the heat signature and the time required to open packages, slice, dice and prepare the food. Plus you need a space to do this especially with drones buzzing around. Then add in it seems the front lines are fluid so setting up a place to cook would be a problem. Nope the food shown looks like it should have been in a rear area field kitchen which it appear there isn't one. The other thing is if this really was meant for the front lines, it means there has been a serious disruption of the Russian supply system for hard rations, whatever they might be. It could be the factories making these rations are too small or ineffective and this is the easy way around the problem.
