About Blur:
Blur were formed in 1989 by Damon Albarn, Graham Coxon, Alex James and Dave Rowntree and signed with Food/EMI the same year. Announcing their arrival with debut album Leisure in 1991, Blur continued to revolutionise the sound of English popular music with second release Modern Life Is Rubbish (1993). Five successive UK #1 albums followed - with Parklife (1994) and The Great Escape (1995) helping to propel the band to mass popularity in the UK and beyond. The eponymous Blur was released in 1997 and seventh album Think Tank (2003) was Blur’s first as a three-piece after the temporary departure of founding guitarist Graham Coxon. Twenty one years after the release of their debut album, 2012 saw Blur 21: The Box, the band's body of work compiled and gathered together into one box. Their most recent release as a four-piece, the critically acclaimed chart-topping album The Magic Whip (2015), started life in Hong Kong when the band had an unexpected break in touring in May 2013

I don’t think Blur is capable of making a truly bad song. The one time they were trying to make a terrible song, they accidentally made one of the coolest, most legendary songs of the entire grunge era. The talent Damon and the gang have is insane.

I remember their concert in Lima, Peru, 2013. The San Marcos stadium was...well, not fully occupied to say the least. I thought they would not perform well because of the empty seats, but Damon and his boys gave us a fantastic concert. I loooooove them!

I worked in the studio when this was filmed in East London back in 1997. They were excellent to talk to and I remember Damon had a cold so I had to nip to Tesco to get him some Lemsip. Fantastic day.

I played this so much while I was pregnant when this came out , and my son even when tiny responded to this song and as soon as he could sit up he started getting excited and head banging when he heard it.
Even growing up we had to do long journeys to school etc we would be playing it loud in car , windows down for all to hear , and having fun . Now he’s 24 and having a lay in bed and I’m just about to speak to my Alexa and ring his Alexa in his room and he’s gonna hear this loud and clear lol , I even use to put it on to make him wake up happily in the mornings for school when a teenager lol. He’s not needed to wake to this for years but it still gets played in the car etc . I can’t wait to show him the video.thank you for sharing and also as a mum I love things that made my child so happy and song 2 was the very thing. Thank you.🇬🇧💛🤍
