  • In this video I take on a number of questions! Why don't PCA churches have crosses in the sanctuary? What does the number 666 mean? What is the difference between the PCA and the OPC? What view on Creation Days is acceptable?

I was touched by the swedish brother who wanted to know more about the reformed faith. Please pray for Sweden - we have beautyful church buildings litteraly everwere in the entire country but we barely have a single reformed, confessional and bible believing church anywere, at all.
    Please pray for us!

As an OPC intern who didn’t come from any Presbyterian upbringing I’m excited to hear the differences laid out!

Pastor, I suspect that some PCA churches have crosses and stained glass because these very same congregations predate the PCA. I can recall that when our congregation left the UPC and joined the PCA, we had to leave the building behind. I suspect though that had we been able to retain our old building, we may have been hesitant to tear out those beautiful old windows.

Actually my name is "Furkan", and I'm not in any danger. Turkey is a secular country and we have religious freedom written in the constitution
My family is very secular and helpful.
Thanks for including my question in the video!

26:00 I've heard it said that, while there are no true coincidences (as you say), there might as well be for what we can know. It is not random that your viewer saw the number 666 several times in one day, but absent direct, special revelation, we can't assign any particular meaning to it--i.e., it might as well be a coincidence.

Love the video but on the issue of slavery. I was born in Southern Missouri and my ancestors were Scots/Irish Presbyterians who fought for the American South during the war of Northern Aggression. You stated that the treatment of slaves was different in the Bible from colonial America. I would disagree and say that most slaves holders in the American South for example were treated in some ways the same as slaves of the Bible area. Most laws on slavery were rooted in the Bible.
1.Slaves had to receive medical care.
    2. Slaves were allowed to marry and even have children. May also add that it is a myth that the children of slaves were ripped from the home.
    3. Slaves were prohibited in the American South from working on the Lords day. In fact General Thomas Jonathan Jackson AKA Stonewall Jackson would lock the doors of the 1st Presbyterian church of Lexington in Lexington, Virginia to teach his slave how to read the Bible. Teaching a slave to read at that time came with a prison sentence. And I would even argue that in a lot of ways men like Stonewall Jackson were the first civil rights activist.
May I suggest a few books on the topic check out time on the cross by Robert William Fogel and Stanley L Engerman and also check out Roll Jordan Roll by Eugened Genovese

Unfortunately for you, the claims of creationism are demonstrably false. I highly recommend you check out the work of Joel Duff on the subject.

How can you possibly argue that the Bible “was written in an ancient context” and simultaneously claim that it was written by a god that knows the future. Also, you’re absolutely incorrect to claim that ancient slavery was in anyway less harmful than slavery in the US.

Anyone who wants to actually understand about slavery in a biblical context should check out the many great videos on the topic by Dr. Josh Bowen (Digital Hammurabi).

I very much appreciate your channel. However, I encourage you to change your leave taking from, "Love ya lots," to something more genuine. Your videos are a wonderful gift, but the verbal expression of love at the end of almost every video seems insincere. You don't know most of your viewers. To say that you love us lots cheapens the word "love."
