Solutions to the fuel problem in Nigeria is very easy, provided the players in the industry are willing to come true.
Nigeria should extract enough crude to meet her international obligations and extract more for local consumption, which will go to Dangote for refining at a locally agreed price.

Nigerians are at the mercy of Dangote who can decide to monopolize the market and set huge price for pms if he chooses to. Also, the NNPC being to supplier of crude oil to Dangote can blackmail the company to sell at higher price if the choose to, or do what is best for Nigeria and control the price to avoid Dangote monopolizing the market

Babajide please get your facts right!!...Dangote did not sell PMS for N898 because it sold it to NNPC in rising dollars just the same way it bought crude from NNPC in dollars. It is a purely bilateral swap arrangement and this has nothing to do with the falling naira. Only NNPC as the sole regulator can pronounce a price for PMS in naira. Dangote cannot make a pronoucement or determine local pricing by law. When NNPC gets it's acts together to ramp up crude production and starts selling to Dangote in Naira the price will drop. Finally the dirty fuel imported will definately be cheaper than the cleaner Dangote fuel at first.
