Note: Crota's End and Kings Fall do not have any chests you can get solo as there is no way to get around the opening encounters solo for them. As far as Salvation's Edge is concerned, there is no way to get past first encounter solo as of now. Edit: You CAN use a skimmer in place of a sparrow for Vault of Glass, I don't really use skimmers that often so im unsure if they'd work for the other sparrow related clips shown Update: Salvation's Edge chests are obtainable solo now! If I've never completed the raid and have nothing in my collection, will I actually get any loot? Everything I've read says if I have nothing in my collection I won't get raid loot drops?
All raids except last wish will only give you loot you’ve got in your collections. Last wish is the weird exception. It used to give weapons, armor, and mods, whether or not they were in your collections. Now that the weapons have been revamped, it only drops armor and mods, but still nice if you plan on ever doing last wish or just want the fashion drip. Let me know if you ever want to do a raid, or just the secret chests or anything. ilikepamdas#3235
You can get spoils from some of the raid chests as well as raid armor mods, though they can only be used on the armor from the respective raid. Last Wish, Garden of Salvation, and Deep Stone Crypt did not seem to drop spoils for me, so that just leaves Vault of Glass, Vow of the Disciple, and Root of Nightmare as the only sources of spoils from secret chests

It seems like you can only get spoils from chests from the newer raids. Last wish, Garden of Salvation, and Deep Stone Crypt did not drop spoils for me. You can only collect loot from chests once per character per week and chests only drop 5 spoils each. Every encounter for every raid will drop spoils except for opening encounter like Vault of Glass or King's Fall. You can farm spoils from encounter repeatedly from Salvation's Edge (The newest raid), or from the weekly featured raid.
@@PsiTheShark Thanks for the extensive explanation! I really want to craft the glaive from Salvations Edge to replace my Unexpected Resurgence PvP glaive with a glaive that has a faster TTK, so knowing how to get spoils and how much per chest is really helpful!
You need to wedge yourself as far back into the rock as you can and angle your camera slightly towards the right of the rock when you jump off. it does take a few tries if you dont have experience with it
What worked for me was as soon as I pressed the button to jump off my sparrow, I did a sparrow dodge. If you're playing on MnK, the sequence is spacebar (key to get off sparrow)>double tap the A key fast right after as you're hopping off. I'm not sure about the buttons for controller though.
Eager edge sword and shatterdive aspect on stasis hunter. be on a ledge or steep slope, pull out eager edge sword, heavy attack, jump and shatterdive, all in roughly a second. if youre on controller, id suggest rebinding shatterdive to single press. not hard to do really, just takes some practice
You need to maintain the same height as you cross and then drop. Or be fast enough to where the turn back doesnt matter, i.e. wellskating, shatterskating, or some other movement tech
They haven't patched it. you need to keep your height at the same level when crossing. you can't fall below the height of the bridge till halfway through. if you can wellskate, that will get you across. if not, use starfire protocol for double grenades and use Heat Rises and Icarus Dash to get across along with an eager edge sword
@@PsiTheShark for the amount if effort it takes to get to Morgeth from patrol its not even worth the hassle. Getting the first chest takes like 2 mins though so it's worth it.

The only place I used Navigator was for Vow of the Disciple's one chest, but even then you dont need it to grab the chest. I just used it for convenience. Normal grapple is fine to get through the hole in the ceiling, then climb your way up manually

For those that dont know you have to complete atleast 1 encounter to get weapons and armor in all except last wish if i remember correctly
my only thought about vault of glass is if you can back track from the trail of kabr load zone to the door to the vault of glass to get that chest
You cannot, invisible wall blocks you from getting it. You could solo entrance to get it though

I tried vog first chest it not working for me with the sparrow seems like a barrier oushes me back up when i drop down a little

Lowering your fps helps a lot. if you cant, try to jump into the load zone or run into it.

Both chests can be obtained from patrol actually. although the second one is trickier to get
