Wow I’ve heard the VA has been running like shit for awhile now, but I never thought they’d stoop so low as to prescribe Klonopin right away for PTSD and then have the nerve to say benzos are ‘safer’ than weed…….that’s absolute horseshit. While it’s true that weed can exacerbate anxiety/paranoia depending on the strain and on the individual, benzodiazepines like Klonopin should almost never be prescribed for more than two weeks to a month at max, since after that time period you will inevitably develop a physiological and possibly a psychological dependence on the drug even if taking them as prescribed. Long story short, benzos are okay to take in certain circumstances and only for a short period of time, otherwise once you take them for a year like I did, they become the worst nightmare imaginable. I’ve been taking Xanax as prescribed for over a decade and realize that I really need to get off of them. I’ve tried to in the past but the withdrawals are hellish. I’m trying a slow taper but it’s still going to suck no matter how slow I go off of them. I wish I never started taking them.
How are you doing with your tapering off? It took me a long time before the best way for me to do it was switching over to valium because it has a longer half life.
The worst I've ever done was when I had a benzos addiction. And... I've been addicted to pretty much everything at some point. I was never so fucked mentally. Honestly I don't think I've fully recovered. I don't really think I had anxiety before the addiction. It was over a decade ago and it hasn't left completely
I used to take 8 bars and drive and I didn’t have any problems. I was taking them as prescribed. When my custody battle was over I naturally reduced the amount I was using and quit. Now it scares me when I found out how much I was using. Now 1 would put me to sleep.

@@Westhelockpicker Alprazolam specifically. On a good day a single 0.25mg tablet is enough. On a bad day I need 1.5mg to 2mg. Xanax gets a bad rap in my opinion. Sometimes the panic attacks are so bad I'd nearly sell my soul to the devil to make them stop. I get them in waves that last for hours and hours.
I used these in high school and after that when it kicked in at lunchtime in school I felt very good, no anxiety and could go throughout the school day. I had fun on my classes. I took two bars
I had a blackout on Xanax a few years back, I woke up in ICU, I was told I had been sitting on tram tracks in the middle of a main road, don’t know I wasn’t killed, I was weaned off them while in hospital and haven’t and never will touch them again
I took Benzos a few times recreationally and a few times to come down from legitimate panic attacks. The utter sedation and lack of inhibition always scares me. I can imagine anyone's life taking a nose dive getting addicted to those things, especially since you can't "just stop" to detox.
I finally realized I had a problem with benzos when I came home from work in the morning from working night shift, I talked to my wife who was going to work, gave her a kiss bye, I stood in front of the refrigerator and nodded off, I heard the door open and it was my wife coming home for lunch, I was there nodded for more than 5 hours, I had glimpses of reality here and there but for the most part just stood there all that time nodded, that's scary,
Back when I was partying in my college years my buddy met up with a group of friends I was with. Told him to bring some xannies. He brought about 14 yellow bars or “school buses”. We were drinking the cheapest, nastiest beer in the world, but the combination of Xanax and alcohol made me not remember about 24 hours, which is scary now that I think about it. Especially knowing that I drove about 20 miles that night not remembering any of it. That’s why I’ve always called benzos “life erasers”
Took Ativan every day for about 15 years. Quit about a year ago. Did it by stepping down the dosage over a 3 week period. Wasn't that bad for me. Worst part was that 1 night after a dosage adjustment I could hardly sleep at all. But sleep returned to normal after 2 days.
i got 10 benzos but im not sure what kind, thry are oval shsped pills with a liquid inside civered by a plastic shselll tahat melts in my stomach, what kind od benzos di i have
Im 5 months clean off Xanax and ive never felt better, I have my sleeping pattern back, after they stop working it gave me a new kind of anxiety and hell began.
I miss those Xanax bars from back in the w! Loved to smoke weed on top of it…. Sweet! But don’t get addicted to them…. Withdrawal can be very dangerous and painful in many ways
Benzos make me feel safe and happy. It makes me feel like life will be just fine. It kills a panic attack almost immediately. Whatever fear you have a benzo will completely get rid of it. I think it’s a miracle drug.
Xanax is horrible. I was first prescribed Xanax when I was 16. I was started on 1mg 3 to 4 times daily within a month I was on 2mg 3 to 4 times daily. the highest does I was put on was 2mg 5 to 6 times a day. I was a walking zombie I'm now 35 and I am still on Xanax. 1mg 2 to 3 times a day and I will probably have to take them the rest of my life. every time I have tried to come off of them I started having horrible seizures, I almost died because of them ,and I have recently found out from my new psychiatrist that being on so much Xanax for so long it's changed the way my brain functions. it really sucks and if I could go back in time I would never taken them to begin with
yup ive popped 10 before(sober now)before school nd someone recorded me nodding out in class couldnt even walk straight only reason ik this is bc people told me usually dont remember anything only certain parts and it was very obvious i did more than smoke im lucky i didnt get caught by the school cops lost my airpods too still dk where they are
It's the only medication that's ever worked for me. I've been put on EVERY other medication and they don't work the same. But because doctors can't make an exception based off their experiences and prescribe me the medication that works, they INSIST on telling me it's a narcotic not meant for long term use. Why do I have to feel like I'm crawling out of my skin 24/7? I'm miserable and my social life has literally depleted to isolation. But let me fucking thankful they don't have me on any narcotics
im 2nd year free from xanax, clean as crystal, quitting benzos was the hardest battle in my life. I had to live with that normal anxiety again. And this is good, be a total concrete no emotions prick is not normal.
I was able to get mine from a Pharmactist electrifying lsd and they also got some pyschedelic products like mushrooms Xanx XTC gummies they ship and deliver to any location
First most likely they are fake. Doctors do not prescribe 2mg Xanax anymore. Secondly a bar if legitimate is way too much and will make you feel like trash
Hey did you ever try them? Wondering cause a friend of mine just gave me a couple of bars too lol. I've had them for about a week and I'm still on the fence
@@victoriamarx3267Always make a try test in a safe and calm environment. See how it affects you. But it would be the best to apsolutely only take it during bad panic attacks
How you described the blackout is exactly what would happen to me on heroin (I never was on benzos much) I would be sitting there and say it would be around 7 or 8 in the evening. All of a sudden, it would seem like I had just been sitting there for like 2 seconds, but I'd look at the clock and all of a sudden it'd be 2am with the past few hours seeming like a blank space in my memory, I'd have no recollection of what I did in those few hours that just seemingly passed before my eyes
Yup yup yup that blackout is insane. Hours even days can go by its nuts. That heroin nod out and when benzos are added omg glad your hear and we made it out
One day I bought a small 200ml bottle of Smirnoff and I saw my friend was selling xans and so I bought 2 (2mg) thinking that mixing them wouldn't do much. That's the only experience I've ever had where I truly blacked out. I only remembered snorting 1 bar when I woke, but I got so fucked up that I guess I did both. I've blacked out a lot on alcohol, but that blackout was another level. Literally have no recollection of doing anything at all after that first bar.
I know you posted this comment 2 years ago but how are you doing now? I was on benzos for years but am completely off them for a few years now. It took a long time and it was scary for me as well. I pray that you are doing well.
Xanax and heroin isnt 3 it's about a 300 syngegism. Xanax is the trade name for alprolozam "ozolam" have another ring and are far stronger that the "pam" benzos like diazepam. Xanax and Seroquel are far over used in the US.
I'm on methadone now and do good for the most part, but sometimes I still smoke Blk. Just not all crazy like before. Id rather do Xanax, but you have to not abuse it and do things now and then.but that's really hard to control.
Yea Gabe for many addicts that's an impossible task. Doing things occasionally for myself is impossible. I've never done heroin for only 1 day. I will tell myself its only gonna be once then 3 year later I'm wondering how i got there.
Definitely. I do about once a week and still get carried away n get one more for like 3 days in a row now and then. And even then, it doesn't even make happy after like the first day. Sucks. It's never enough and nothing fills the void.
I overdosed on Xanax but without any blackouts or gaps. I did sleep for 13 hours afterwards. Even tho i enjoyed the high i also found that it was easy to quit.
@@karlsalocks I have to agree even though I'm not addicted. However, I watched one of my friends overdose in 10th grade from taking multiple bars on top of drinking, zero tolerance. I take Klonopin as needed because I'm one anxious mf, and for legit diagnosed PTSD that I can't shake for hours and hours. If you use benzos correctly and follow what your doctor says to do, then they're a lifesaver. I don't even feel it when I take it, because it just works the way it's supposed to and I can calm down a little easier. The issue with that is the fact that it is definitely VERY tempting to take multiple tablets at the same time, because at least to me it feels way too damn good when you overestimate how much you need. I think as long as you watch what happens when you get addicted every now and then you develop a healthy fear. Benzos are one of those things that you do not even touch unless you've tried to fight the panic for too long and you can't take it anymore. Anxiety disorders suck but sometimes you really just have to bite the bullet and try your best to pull through in some way.
I used to take a few Diazies, walk home, have my dig of H and ...well the results were great. Made the H go that bit further. But when I was cold turkeying off Methadone and H, 20 Diazies wouldn't touch it at all. No sleep. Although I would ideally take 1 or 2 benzos before having my H, I wouldn't bother with that Tranq shit. It's not the same.

On Xanax I stole a brand new car off a car Lott. Got caught cause I blacked out on the freeway during rush hour on a Thursday lol. I also got a flat tire on the freeway then proceeded to take a tire off a car that was parked on the street. I could rob a bank on Xanax lol
Stop stop stop. People abuse Xanax, and Valium to get high….. people like myself my sister have generalized anxiety. I need my one pill Valium since I was 20 or I would be in the hospital for panic attacks shaking and it’s not from an addiction. It was medically made to help people with mental health. I don’t drink don’t smoke pot and I don’t do cocaine.. so stop stop because some people do need this medication. you drug attic‘s are making it hard for me and people like myself for our medical mental health difficult life. It’s a lifesaver for many of us. And I’m not an addict on Xanax or Valium. I don’t abuse it. My psychiatrist and family doctor agree that I need it. It wasn’t designed to be a street drug. I am now 69 years old if I stop. I might as well be homeless on the street and turn into a cocaine attic so stop.
u need to start thinking about how you can get of those immidiately dude, benzo withdrawal is the worst thing on earth and trust me your tolerance will increase. your on the road to hell
I have benefited from Xanax severally and its relevance also it obviously undeniable one ought to take the right dosage, below is where I usually obtain mine they also guide newbies.
Thank you for this information - my son is highly addicted to these drugs and has these illegally - he has attempted suicide many times on these drugs. He does not even remember what he does when he is on them.
Xanax is a terrible drug to be addicted to. I was addicted to heroin for 7 years and opiates in general for 10 and I’m still on suboxone but xanax messed me up way more than heroin ever did. I got really skinny and sick on dope but for the most part I had the same personality, I worked really hard, and was a contributing member of society and I never stole or had to beg or anything like that. But xanax has made me into a fool so many times, relationships were beyond destroyed, and the scariest part is you don’t remember any of it. It’s alcohol in a pill, that’s what I always say. The only thing that makes it better than alcohol is you don’t get violent, you can get yelly but not violent. Of course this can also be a dangerous thing because I’ve gotten my ass kicked on bars and my brain wasn’t even registering it as a threat because your fight or flight is turned off. You don’t try to run either, you just keep yelling as you get hit. It makes you vulnerable.
Yeah, alcohol is the only drug I think is worse. Part of that is because benzos are actually useful from time to time. Alcohol is just literal horseshit with no redeeming qualities whatsoever.
I am not a benzos addict but I have built a permanent tolerance to them. I can stop taking them for 5-6 months and 0,25 mg of Xanax wouldn't still do anything to me. I remember my first 0,25 mg pill, I was chill af
@@lw8546If it helps, & you have no other drug addictions, it is a good thing. I've been on Clonazepam for about 20yrs, & it helps me a lot to be able to sleep with the terrible anxiety that used to ALWAYS be flowing through my brain. Without it, I'd likely be dead by now. PEACE to you & to your mind.
My thoughts? No problem at all. It MAY actually HELP!! Try it at home a few times B4 going out while being affected by both. That & DON'T DRIVE while on either & esp not when you are on them at the same time. Otherwise, I don't see it as a problem. But I am NOT a doctor, & it IS different for everyone. Still, I don't see it as a "bad" thing to smoke weed while on benzos. I've done it MANY MANY times, & never had a problem. But I don't use any other "drugs" than weed, which is 100% legal where I live. DO NOT DRINK BOOZE when on benzos, I've never seen ANY good come from THAT combination. Take Care!!
I don't know you but I will absolutely say a prayer for you. I know how difficult it is, I was prescribed Klonopin for a year and a half and it ultimately made my anxiety worse so I had to wean myself off and it sucked real bad. But I feel so much better today now that I've been clean from benzos for years and clean from opiates and all other drugs for three and a half months now. My point is that YOU CAN GET THROUGH THIS. It does get better even if it feels like it never will. Your brain will start to repair itself and naturally deal with anxiety and pain. You will get through it, just take it one day at a time. I would recommend tapering under a doctor's supervision because it can be dangerous but not everyone has that luxury obviously. Just be careful and remember why you are doing this to begin with when the negative feelings become too overwhelming. Fall back on your support system if you have one. Good luck you got this!! :)

Same here!

The problem with benzos is that you never actually understand when its too much.
And its too late to realise you are into the whole cycle

I used these in high school and after that when it kicked in at lunchtime in school I felt very good, no anxiety and could go throughout the school day.
I had fun on my classes. I took two bars
Addictions have no evil. Sometimes asking is the best thing.
I had a blackout on Xanax a few years back, I woke up in ICU, I was told I had been sitting on tram tracks in the middle of a main road, don’t know I wasn’t killed, I was weaned off them while in hospital and haven’t and never will touch them again
How much did you take

I took Benzos a few times recreationally and a few times to come down from legitimate panic attacks. The utter sedation and lack of inhibition always scares me. I can imagine anyone's life taking a nose dive getting addicted to those things, especially since you can't "just stop" to detox.
My withdrawal was brutal took around a year or so to feel normal again
I finally realized I had a problem with benzos when I came home from work in the morning from working night shift, I talked to my wife who was going to work, gave her a kiss bye, I stood in front of the refrigerator and nodded off, I heard the door open and it was my wife coming home for lunch, I was there nodded for more than 5 hours, I had glimpses of reality here and there but for the most part just stood there all that time nodded, that's scary,
😅
I remember taking valium before every surgery, I had 3 surgeries and everytime. The drs say we'll give you some valium to calm you down
Back when I was partying in my college years my buddy met up with a group of friends I was with.
Benzodiazepine use in the UK is at epidemic levels especially diazepam

That's a very accurate resume : black out. Same with Ativan, Klonopin, Valium.
Smoke the best character in the game especially the robot one
Benzos make me feel safe and happy. It makes me feel like life will be just fine. It kills a panic attack almost immediately. Whatever fear you have a benzo will completely get rid of it. I think it’s a miracle drug.
Xanax is horrible. I was first prescribed Xanax when I was 16. I was started on 1mg 3 to 4 times daily within a month I was on 2mg 3 to 4 times daily. the highest does I was put on was 2mg 5 to 6 times a day. I was a walking zombie I'm now 35 and I am still on Xanax. 1mg 2 to 3 times a day and I will probably have to take them the rest of my life. every time I have tried to come off of them I started having horrible seizures, I almost died because of them ,and I have recently found out from my new psychiatrist that being on so much Xanax for so long it's changed the way my brain functions. it really sucks and if I could go back in time I would never taken them to begin with
Xan and oxy's boost each other. I'm almost a year off narcotics and I still don't know why I didn't die... It wasn't my time I guess.
I got hype on benzos cus it’s just like you feel stronger. I get these for my anxiety but that might be because of that and I rarely take them too
yup ive popped 10 before(sober now)before school nd someone recorded me nodding out in class couldnt even walk straight only reason ik this is bc people told me usually dont remember anything only certain parts and it was very obvious i did more than smoke im lucky i didnt get caught by the school cops lost my airpods too still dk where they are
All I can say is that they give you a false sense of confidence and although that may be good it can also cause so much trouble
Man I took some benzos a few times wile drinking and smoking and I just sat tf down and told my homies take care of me 😂
It's the only medication that's ever worked for me.

First most likely they are fake. Doctors do not prescribe 2mg Xanax anymore.
Secondly a bar if legitimate is way too much and will make you feel like trash
Hey did you ever try them? Wondering cause a friend of mine just gave me a couple of bars too lol. I've had them for about a week and I'm still on the fence
@@victoriamarx3267Always make a try test in a safe and calm environment. See how it affects you. But it would be the best to apsolutely only take it during bad panic attacks
I used to drink and smoke crack or drink and do meth i wasn’t used to being on Xanax I did a 1mg blue football all felt was hungry lol
David maybe the crack and alcohol was overpowering the benzo's? But so glad you got off everything
That heroin nod out and when benzos are added omg glad your hear and we made it out
Taking even .5 milligrams of Klonopin and drinking a half pint will make me blackout. And I have a high alcohol tolerance
Try explaining benzodiazepines withdrawals…not fun…takes years and years for recovery….physical and psychological

The methadone is what really helps the most. If it weren't for that, I'd be much worse off. I'd be really bad. it'd definitely be every day.
Good looking dude 🥰

Stop stop stop. People abuse Xanax, and Valium to get high….. people like myself my sister have generalized anxiety.
Alcohol is just literal horseshit with no redeeming qualities whatsoever.
xanax withdrawal is hell
I am not a benzos addict but I have built a permanent tolerance to them. I can stop taking them for 5-6 months and 0,25 mg of Xanax wouldn't still do anything to me. I remember my first 0,25 mg pill, I was chill af
I'm not tolerant and 0.25 is teeny tiny. For me, at least 0.5mg is what I need to feel anything from xan
.25 isn't shit.

Thoughts on xanax mxed with weed?
Bruh cmon weed doesn't affect u on nothing besides maybe alcohol like bong rip every 10 mins
@jasperferrie4687 Bruh I tried it and I felt amazing. It made a difference
Take Care!!
There already was a benzo epidemic it was in like 2016
It dates back to the 70s my dude
Pray for me plz
