Really good stuff. Best music being produced today (within top 20 at least). I know some hate any criticism. However, here I go! My wife is from the UK, is 61 years old, and lived through the 80s. She saw Depeche Mode, The Cure, Joy Division, and other such bands in person, and I am also an avid fan. Without me prompting it, she said exactly what I was thinking. The music in many of these new wave of 80s songs overpowers the vocals. It is therefore hard to hear what is being said. Go listen to Depeche Mode - Everything Counts as an example. You can much more clearly hear the words. Twin Tribes is welcome to throw tomatoes at me for my "unwanted opinion", but I noticed this is an "issue" among todays artists that are doing this 80s new wave of music. They are overpowering their vocals with the music. UK 80s artists knew how to make things work best. They had the perfect ratio of music to vocals, and had the right amount of reverb.
The Cure sólo tiene uno, si acaso 2 trabajos (los 2 primeros trabajos) con música post-punk, ya que es uno de los grupos pioneros de éste tipo de música en la década de los 80´s. The Cure luego fue evolucionando y sus siguientes trabajos hasta sus últimos sencillos nada tienen de post-punk. Te recomiendo que escuches a la banda de Brasil, Plastique Noir.......amazing music!!!!!!!!!
