Fishing From Tannum Sands

For anyone looking to access the Great Barrier Reef for fishing, Tannum Sands is a little hidden gem of place to do it from. With plenty of inshore and river fishing also, this place will give you plenty of fishing options, no matter what the weather.
In this video, my aim is to give you some insight into the area and provide some initial tips on fishing from this quite little town if you’re planning to head there, so check it out.

Good one mate, well done to young bloke 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍he done well looking at that. We used to go on family holidays there 35year ago fishing the creek for flathead was main past time. I caught my first ever fish there over 40 year ago. It looks to have changed a lot. Now I’m feeling very old hahahaha

If i recall, it was about 1hr 15 mins in my 70hp. It was a fairly good day.

Thanks guys. I've got a 6.4 metre plate with a 150 Yammy. Brother moved up to Tannum so I want to trail the boat up from the Gold Coast. Want to fish tge inner and outer reefs. Don't know much about this area yet. Looking for Reds, trout, Red Throat m, Tuskies ect. Coming up for about a week. Trying to work out best time of the year. Considering April.👍
