Teen Titans, like for many people, is what got me into DC, and you hit the nail on the head why: the relationships. They really did feel like a bunch of kids, whether they’re playing video games, ordering pizza, or dressing up in each other’s costumes. We need more producers and higher-ups at WB like you who just know and care so deeply about this franchise. You just earned a subscriber.
I am truly happy that the Teen Titans will be part of the DCU, and there is so much potential to truly utilise the Titans and showcase why they are one of the greatest superhero teams with such a devoted fan base. Personally I really hope we see key characters like Nightwing, Starfire, Donna Troy, Wally West (unless he's already the Flash), Roy Harper, Cyborg, Raven and Beast Boy. I can also see characters like Blue Beetle, Aqualad, Damian Wayne, Tim Drake etc... be members of the team. I also truly hope they showcase how cool the Titans rogues gallery but also take their time before adapting their most iconic villain Deathstroke/Slade, maybe have a trilogy building up the stakes and developing the characters, for example: - Film 1: Black Fire or Brother Blood/The HIVE five - Film 2: Deathstroke + Terra - Film 3: Trigon
I can't see them doing Blackfire as much as I love that mini-arc in the show there isn't much substance with her as a villain unless its tide to a green lantern type of thing as then there is a reason for the team to be out in space. -Long Movie series pitch- If I had to speculate on a trilogy, we all know its more then likely a trilogy, I'd say it be Hive Academy( not just the hive 5) gives the team a reason to be brought together with a post credit scene of Deathstroke and Brotherblood conversing on how the Academy fell but the experiment had ran according to plan ending with a "science tube TM" labeled Project Terra. Next Movie picks up with a mysterious new villain showing up (its Rose) along with a new Hero who goes by the name Cheshire (in my fan-fiction mind Cheshire in this universe is Roses twin sister) with the movie plot being the nano-bot episode from Young Justice but way more in-depth with a post credit scene where Cheshire was captured and has Project Terra forcefully injected into her while DeathStroke proclaims to BrotherBlood it is time I hold-up my end of our deal. Movie three's plot is the Terra arc from the OG teen titans show but more fleshed out ending with Cheshire passing away along with Deathstroke being arrested ending with a possible easter egg about a maybe 4th movie where Brotherblood is seen talking to Trigon.
I would love to see the Fearsome Five (Psimon, Shimmer, Mammoth, Chip and Jinx). It's about time to have a film about a super hero team vs a super villain group. Plus Psimon could be used to set up Trigon later on in trilogy, since in the comics it was Trigon who gave Psimon his mental powers. In the movie could have him using the other members of Fearsome Five to keep the Titans busy while he tries to get to Raven, either to brainwash her to make her loyal to her father or to steal her powers and become more powerful. This detail could create a contrast between the Fearsome Five (who are being used by Psimon) and the Titans (who all care about each other).

Donna deserves some love in adaptations for once (she was cool and played well by Connor Leslie despite the writing). Would love to see a mix between her Titan of Myth origin and her rescued by fire by Diana one.
Before the Flashpoint, it was made clear that Donna's official origin was the 1998 Dark Angel business wherein it combined both being rescued by Diana and raised by the Titans of Myth after she quite literally beat herself up over it across the entire multiverse (including wishing she was a dude on Earth-11 likely because she thought it would be easier, but Donny's got the same "swiss cheese convoluted mess" problems.) having been slightly jealous over the fact that she was initially designed as a friend for Diana because there were no other children on Themyscira, but got displaced and chaos ensued so to lessen the chaos the Titans of Myth made Donna think Rhea had rescued her instead of Diana once the fire broke out and she was raised by them to be their version of Diana instead...making her the new Phoebe (or Seline) of the Titans since Diana was the new Artemis of the Olympians as Artemis G. fills the role of the femenine counterpart to Ra of the Egyptians being a Bana-Midal and Nubia is a variant of the African Myth concerning "Aunt Nancy" and the magic flyswatter ex-machina.
What about putting Static on the team as well being an honorary member, since he’s around 15-18, and was in a run in 2009 if not mistaken. Or would it be better to have his own movie first then add him to a team? Also I’d like to see what prewrite video you can do for him ✌🏾
I really want an original team reference, i feel like it doesnt get enough attention and i love how its all the mist iconic dc sidekicks trying to make a name for themselves, especially aqualad
For me the idea of cyborg "leveling up" is cool but after he leaves teen titans blue beetle should take his spot becouse they're powers are similar and it won't be a big diffrence
With every DCU project so far confirmed to either be an adaptation or at least heavily influenced by a specific run, I wouldn’t be surprised if Teen Titans is the same way.
I’m so glad someone on the internet understands that you can’t just pick and choose characters from across the Titans rosters and expect the team to have the same magic. Their interpersonal dynamics are too important. Also I LOVE titans but I also know it’s terrible. It’s my favorite little trainwreck.
I definitely want them to mix it up a little. I don’t want JUST the 03 roster. I think adding Rose Wilson into the mix would be interesting and add more to Deathstroke’s history with the Titans.
My ideal TT cast is way too large for one movie. Robin, Starfire, Raven, Beast Boy, Cyborg, Superboy, Kid Flash, Wonder Girl, Speedy, Aqualad, Blue Beetle, Miss Martian, and others. You could hypothetically split the team into Teen Titans, Titans, and Young Justice, but they're all some of my favorite characters in all of comics. Ironically, it's the same problem I'd have picking an ideal X-Men team.
I would have accepted Cyborg as a JLA member… had he replaced literally any other member other than Martian Manhunter. Seriously, that guy does NOT need to get any more obscure
Teen titans GO was never bad it was just for a different audience. I don’t think we need more like that but I still think GO was a lot of fun growing up and I still think some parts are genuinely funny
Gabriel Picolo's Raven isn't a standalone. He's doing a whole series of Titans. He did Raven, Beast Boy, Beast Boy Love Raven, Robin, and now Starfire comes out in under a month. I'm so hyped for it.
I'd want the DCU Teen Titans movie to be a prequel to The Brave and the Bold, but not an origin story. The lineup would be Robin (Dick Grayson), Wonder Girl (Donna Troy), Speedy (Roy Harper), Kid Flash (Wally West), and Aqualad (Garth). I'd also add Bumblebee to the team because I wanted another female member and a black character, plus she could be sort of the recent addition or something. The main villain would be Deathstroke, with Rose Wilson (Deathstroke's daughter) and Cheshire as secondary villains.
“Teen Titans Go!” is like modern day disco. Back in the day, it was cool to say TTG sucked. Everyone agreed with you. Nowadays, you say TTG sucks, and people are all “what the hell are you talking about? Have you actually seen the show? What a weird thing to say…”
Thank you for the Donna and Roy love. It feels like most Dick Grayson fans these days forget how integral both of their friendships have been to Dick. [As someone who is gritting their teeth through a Titans first watch, that Superboy episode was the only thing that has been pulling me through to the end.]
Personally I would have a TT movie to be loosely based on the Geoff Johns run to establish the TT and YJ history, but I wouldn’t mind going this route. I think replacing Wally with Roy would be beneficial for Wally to have more involvement with the JL, but I wouldn’t mind if Wally would stop by from time to time as like a part timer. Heck since I personally would want to see the DCU JL to have the 90s roster, I can see both Wally and Kyle (who was a member of the titans for some time), hang out with the titans, to get away from the nonsense with dealing with their older teammates. I think having Garth as Tempest joining the team later on or as like part time members would be nice, and you could have it where he feels like he doesn’t belong to the surface world, and with a little help from his friends, he becomes more comfortable to the point where he joins the team fully. Cuz like Roy, I think Garth has been done dirty as well. Aside from Herald and Bumblebee, another character that I think should be added on later is Jericho. Jericho is a very interesting character especially since he’s the son of the team’s archenemy, and was a very integral member of the team during the Marv and George era, when he replaced Wally. I also think Omen is a pretty good character too, as I really liked her during the Dan Abbentt’s Titans run.
I honestly thing the DCU will be an anthology series of sorts, with stories taking place all across the timeline with some connected tissue like character interactions and direct sequels. With how an early Superman is opening up the DCU but Batman already having Damien I just think my theory fits and a Teen Titans movie would make perfect sense as a piece of the DCU anthology puzzle
Donna is far more complicated than Power Girl. Power Girl only has two origins...either she's AU Supergirl of some kind, or Atlantean Supergirl-lookalike. Donna's got 5! and that's still less than Hawkman! Hawkman is the definition of "So convoluted that even using convoluted to describe him is barely even scratching the surface of how complicated he is!"
I want Blue Beetle as member,I loved the teen titans dynamic he had in the DCAU movies. Also Young Justice is basically Teeny Titans Deluxe style and he was great in that
I think if I were to make a comparison to a movie I think a good Teen Titans film would match the vibe of: Big Hero 6. That movie isn't perfect but the group dynamics at play are... kinda halfway to being a Teen Titans movie anyway in the same vein as The Incredibles basically being a F4 movie? Just the idea of having moments like one of them freaking out at how another drives, or other things like that.
I'm a big fan of Doom Patrol I want them to make a movie of that with Beast Boy starting the team. Teen Titans is my favorite DC comic book team. Here's my roster of Teen Titans Nightwing (Dick Greyson) Kid-Flash (Wally West) Cyborg (Vic Stone) Starfire(Princess Koriand'r) Raven(Rachel Roth) Superboy(Conner Kent) Blue Beetle(Jaime Reyes) Wonder Girl(Donna Troy) The villain Deathstroke or Brother Blood
Im not the most versed in comics, so idk if this would be an adaptation of a comic or a whole new thing, but I would love to see the Titans forming a bond through Raven, similar to how the Trigon stories do it. However, instead of treading over old grounds, I would like to see John Constantine receive information of Trigon’s daughter being on earth, and the Titans have to protect Raven from Constantine, who would be a temporary antagonist until a true threat appears
I'm going to be honest, there is no greater prison for a character than being in the (Teen) Titans. I'm just saying Wally, Starfire, Cyborg and Arsenal got their own comics and new storylines they second they left
I’m kinda glad Troy hasn’t talked about spiderman in a while gives him a bit more creative freedom I feel like it was shackles holding him back from talking about other stuff lol
For anyone else curious like I was, Starfire is named Koriand’r (coriander/cilantro) because Marv Wolfman loves terrible puns and named Starfire after a spice because she is “spicy”
8:56 Counter idea, we do 'em all! Donna will be an orphan, who was secretly created by Cronos and the Titans as a younger, magically duplicated version of Diana. Diana adopts her and brings her to Themyscira, and the island raises her as Diana's heir, imbuing her with powers originating from a magical golem! That isn't confusing at all!
The ideal way for the DCU to do the Titans, in my opinion, would be to have the current team based on the Tim, Conner, Bart and Cassie lineup with the original Titans (the Fab Five + New Teen Titans) acting as their mentors, and then there can be prequel movies that tell the stories of how the original team got together
In the current sense of the DC Universe, it makes much more sense for Teen Titans to be about a Tim Drake era team with Dick and one or two other older former Titans being mentors to the team IMO. Unless this is a prequel
I would love to see the classic roster be adapted! I like your idea of having flashbacks to the fab five and the current roster being different. As a Wally West fan I really want to see his dynamic with Barry Allen properly put into live action, his struggle in taking up the mantle is so interesting. Sidekick and mentor dynamics are my favourite part of superhero comics. Personally, I would want Donna's origin to be one where she is made as a replica of WW. I'm not really a fan of the idea of tension between Barbara, Dick and Kory. Just have Kory and Dick together and let Barbara do her own thing. I think I'm just sour that it seems that a lot of superhero women in comics seem to be passed around the guys as love interests and I know that romance is interesting to read but sometimes I think it's unnecessary. Also, I don't want it to be too Batman and Robin centric, like a lot of DC media is, they are the dynamic that is most popular but the other titans and leaguers deserve their time to shine! I would also like for Kory and Raven to be POC as they were originally designed. But that's all my personal opinion, not judging if anyone thinks differently. I overall agree that the teen titans should focus on the fluctuations of their friendship dynamic in the past and present. Great video!
I do think Deathstroke needs to be the ultimate villain and mastermind but not just in one movie. He should be set up in a Nightwing movie first and probably be in the Titans sequel. Trigun should be the villain of the 3rd movie with Brotherblood and the hive being the villains of the 1st movie.
They should utilize Tim and Damien’s bad relationship. When they first met in the comics, Tim was nice to Damien but Damien was a prick and nearly killed him which is why they never get along and always fight. BATB could have Tim and Damien’s meeting be terrible which leads to Tim leaving the bat family because he doesn’t want to be near Damien. Tim isn’t quitting. He’ll stay in touch and return when Bruce needs him but Tim wants to be away from Damien. This leads to Tim making the 2nd generation of TT and a trilogy with him as the leader while Damien is Robin in Gotham. After the third TT movie, Damien turns 13 and becomes the new leader of the TT with some members of Tim’s team who are teenagers joining Damien’s team and a 16 year old Tim returns to Gotham to once again be Batman’s full time Robin. They should have 2 Titans join the team or make their first appearance in every TT movie like the Avengers movies did
Troy Trigon isn't the literal devil He's the personification of evil from ANOTHER DIMENSION He's a demon sure but definitely not the devil cos that's Lucifer
ace west and wally being in the same verse would help fight the "make ginger characters black" Hollywood allegations that we see alot, but seeing DC realize their mistake and turn Ace into a dope original character is great tbh, especially as a ginger and a huge wally west fan. (CW the Flash as forever pissed me off due to wally)
I know this sounds weird but thank you Troy I’ve been going through some stuff with someone I know and that stuff you said about friendships just falling apart as you get older is something I needed to hear
Because it’s genuinely a step too far, especially for a character DC has been pushing hard for the last 20 years. Not to mention Marv Wolfman has said more than once he regrets writing it & had tried to retcon it out since.
I really love the high school reunion vibes of this. We’ve gotten some great media in the past decade or so that explores the idea of essentially, what happens when a superhero grows up (the umbrella academy, the incredibles a bit) but it could totally be explored further. I like the idea that it’s awkward at first, maybe not everyone is completely on board, if you take the parent angle with Roy that could be really interesting.
i like your team, lets stick with that. i think it'd make a perfect trilogy, and i like the starting later in the careers in the og and bringing a new team back. first movie, definitely would a taste of deathstroke, but also the HIVE. the second, you guessed it, slades back! -- and also brother blood who ends up bringing about... movie 3! TRIGON!. i want it so bad. i love the titans. also, i know you said no judus contract, but i love terra. so also judas contract. lol
My crazy take ( not that crazy ) for Beast Boy is that he should totally start in doom patrol , I know he isn’t that know for Doom Patrol but doom patrol rules so that’s that
This is a great video. I was a little scared that it would be a "just do what the cartoon did but in live action!" video im so happy i was wrong because im sick of people pretending that show is the be all end all of Teen Titans stuff. I'm glad you treated them like comic book characters and not just cartoon characters. For the most part i agreed with everything you said.
It's really easy (and has been done in comics) to tie Brother Blood and Trigon together. Making the church of Blood be about raising Trigon works great so I think that could work at some point.
I really hope that Cyborg isn't a Justice League founder in this one. Its not that he's not deserving of the League or anything, he definitely is. It just leaves no room for him to be a Titan and that's what everyone loves him for and where he made his identity. I think it's way more satisfying if he grows beyond the Titans and joins the Justice League later on

13:26 "The Devil, you know, from the Bible?" ohhhhh i see what you did here mr troy, i love a good sonic fandub reference
Had to double back when I heard that.
If they do Deathstroke i want Joey in there as well mostly because i love him but also it add very interesting dynamics
I would have accepted Cyborg as a JLA member… had he replaced literally any other member other than Martian Manhunter. Seriously, that guy does NOT need to get any more obscure
I read Robin and Batman because of you and it’s since become one of my favourite DC stories, thank you Troyo
I love how your covers of your videos shows how excited you are to talk about whatever the video is about
Teen titans GO was never bad it was just for a different audience.
What a weird thing to say…”
babe wake up troyobo-oh, she’s already awake. she has her post notifications on because she’s subscribed.
I think they should fight Dr. Light, but, he's got similar lore character history problems to Deathstroke soooo, that might be a bad idea xd
Didn't realize Donna was just as if not more complicated than Power Girl
Donna is far more complicated than Power Girl.
Power Girl only has two origins...either she's AU Supergirl of some kind, or Atlantean Supergirl-lookalike.
Donna's got 5!
and that's still less than Hawkman! Hawkman is the definition of "So convoluted that even using convoluted to describe him is barely even scratching the surface of how complicated he is!"
I'd love for them to do another teen titans animated series in the style of Gabriel Piccolo but then are in their college years
I believe we’re still owed a Green Arrow video Mr Troyo😤😂 love your videos
Troy yelling “70% OFF???” Will never not be funny to me I think this is my favorite sponsor segment yet
I think Wally and Victor should be on the league after the big event movie like crisis.
They better get nightwing right
And they make sure that i get my sweet starfire x night wing ok?
Troy I know you always say you’re not a professional writer but like you’re a rly damn good one
My dc teen titans line up for the dcu includes sideways, bunker, static, damian, Naomi mcduffie, Traci thirteen, star girl and the wonder twins
I want Blue Beetle as member,I loved the teen titans dynamic he had in the DCAU movies. Also Young Justice is basically Teeny Titans Deluxe style and he was great in that
I wanna build to that. Give him one more solo movie with a Teen Titans post credit scene.
Oh God, who the hell cares?
I’d love for an animated Teen Titans movie with Into The Spider-Verse/Across The Spider-Verse and TMMT Mutant Mayhem style animation.
"Look out Beast Boy Slade is right behind you!"
"Uhhhhh what the sigma?"
Absolute cinema
12:44 to be fair I know we can handle the name now, but Slade is just a so much COOLER name
100% calling him Slade is far more iconic for the show
I think if I were to make a comparison to a movie I think a good Teen Titans film would match the vibe of: Big Hero 6. That movie isn't perfect but the group dynamics at play are... kinda halfway to being a Teen Titans movie anyway in the same vein as The Incredibles basically being a F4 movie? Just the idea of having moments like one of them freaking out at how another drives, or other things like that.
Da comicbook king is back baby he neva miss we're eating good today y'all
Banger video Troy, reference game was on POINT
I'm a big fan of Doom Patrol I want them to make a movie of that with Beast Boy starting the team. Teen Titans is my favorite DC comic book team.
Here's my roster of Teen Titans
Nightwing (Dick Greyson)
Kid-Flash (Wally West)
Cyborg (Vic Stone)
Starfire(Princess Koriand'r)
Raven(Rachel Roth)
Superboy(Conner Kent)
Blue Beetle(Jaime Reyes)
Wonder Girl(Donna Troy)
The villain Deathstroke or Brother Blood
Never forget when Troy said Teen Titans Go was funnier than Community on fanboy talk.
The TMNT animated movie is a good example of how you need to handle a teenage superhero team
I’m kinda glad Troy hasn’t talked about spiderman in a while gives him a bit more creative freedom I feel like it was shackles holding him back from talking about other stuff lol
Thank u for making this video, I love u
For anyone else curious like I was, Starfire is named Koriand’r (coriander/cilantro) because Marv Wolfman loves terrible puns and named Starfire after a spice because she is “spicy”
I feel like you would make a great Terry Long if they ever make a titans movie
I think Damian works best as a part of Supersons with Jon Kent.
I think they have great crossover potential with the Titans
8:56 Counter idea, we do 'em all! Donna will be an orphan, who was secretly created by Cronos and the Titans as a younger, magically duplicated version of Diana. Diana adopts her and brings her to Themyscira, and the island raises her as Diana's heir, imbuing her with powers originating from a magical golem! That isn't confusing at all!
Donna is whatever Donna is needed, except she isn't always Donna but Donna is Donna
Throw in some Titans 2016 beats and dynamics and I think this could be golden
Troyoboyo? Troy Oh Boy Yo!
They should have 2 Titans join the team or make their first appearance in every TT movie like the Avengers movies did
Troy Trigon isn't the literal devil
He's the personification of evil from ANOTHER DIMENSION
He's a demon sure but definitely not the devil cos that's Lucifer
Everytime you post a video, you just keep showing me that you get it. On every aspect. Good stuff troyo
ace west and wally being in the same verse would help fight the "make ginger characters black" Hollywood allegations that we see alot, but seeing DC realize their mistake and turn Ace into a dope original character is great tbh, especially as a ginger and a huge wally west fan. (CW the Flash as forever pissed me off due to wally)
I know this sounds weird but thank you Troy
I’ve been going through some stuff with someone I know and that stuff you said about friendships just falling apart as you get older is something I needed to hear
i don’t understand why y’all don’t want deathstroke to do the “really bad thing” when he’s literally a villain like he’s not supposed to be good
@@animationcentral.3799" I can excuse murder but I draw the line at child molestation"
Because it’s genuinely a step too far, especially for a character DC has been pushing hard for the last 20 years.
Not to mention Marv Wolfman has said more than once he regrets writing it & had tried to retcon it out since.
I also think bcuz he’s been shown to be a lil more on the anti hero side in recent years, having him do that would just ruin any sympathy
-- and also brother blood who ends up bringing about... movie 3! TRIGON!.
i want it so bad. i love the titans. also, i know you said no judus contract, but i love terra. so also judas contract. lol
Finally a teen titans movie idea
I like your idea and I too am a fan of the 80s team.
Happy 85th Batman Anniversary!! 🦇
Thanks, thumbs up, have a great day
Kendrick reference in a Troy video lets gooooo
I can't wait for them to titan all over the place
I really hope that Cyborg isn't a Justice League founder in this one. Its not that he's not deserving of the League or anything, he definitely is. It just leaves no room for him to be a Titan and that's what everyone loves him for and where he made his identity. I think it's way more satisfying if he grows beyond the Titans and joins the Justice League later on
