Excellent training video, and excellent videography! I bought one of these for $48, free shipping. One of the features in the manual is the "Follow" function, where, when set, configures channel 2 simultaneously with channel 1.
Very good review on this product, yours was the only one I watched that clearly showed how to actually use the panel controls properly. Good job, thank you. Thumbs Up!!!
Thanks Dave! Be sure to check out my "Product Review" video playlist, rate thumbs up, and share with others. If you decide to make a purchase, be sure to use one of the money saving coupon codes that I provide. :-)
Thank you so much for this very informative video I bought one of these and could not run it until I saw you great video.Wish you could do a segment of the Arbitrary function capability.
Aside from being a great product for the price. You basically just made a video manual for the thing. I love purchasing something and being able to use it right out of the box. That's what you just provided. Thanks. As always, excellent videos and quality explanations. Thank you kindly for sharing.
+tose22 tose22 I thought the same also. :-) The width could not really be made smaller, but the length could have been 3" shorter. The only problem is, you would not be able to tilt the unit upwards and have good stability.
I wonder if it helps reduce the noise from a switching power supply? Then again if that was the reason I guess you'd expect that to be right at the back as far as possible from the circuits at the front...
Since I bought two of these, I will check them for frequency accuracy and for limits on settings. Without this video, I would have missed some of the functions provided. Excellent job! Thank you! de KQ2E
Hi there. I packed up my equipment a month ago. I'm in the process of moving. Have you clicked on the "specs" link in the video description area? Thanks for watching!
HOW ABOUT THE VOLTAGE ON THE GROUND CONTACT OF BNC JACKS? There are lots of comments on that matter, most of them saying that the said voltage is rather dangerous for the sensitive circuits where the signal might be applied...
Thanks for the detailed video. FYI - I purchased one using your link and tried both your coupon codes but they don't work for USA customers. This tool is a great value. I was looking at the exact same one but under the "Kuman" brand on Amazon and it was over 20% more expensive.
Robert Lopez Hey Robert. There were (3) codes shown. I added affiliate6 to the list after you said none worked. The first 2 didn't work, but the elec did.
can this be used for pulsed dc to experiment with coils and PEMF or is it purely an audio generator? Still new trying to get my head around all of this stuff.
Very tempting to say the least. Would have been nice to see close-ups of the internals. Wonder how hackable it is. Given the amount of room I might just stick a battery in there and hack in a portable bench power supply. 2-in-1 instrument!
Hi, I'm new in this topic. I've purchase FY2200S but I don't undestand how works the software. I can't see any waveform formed on the software screen. What I'm doing wrong?. I'm using CH1 in MF mode.
You're welcome. I get a SMALL cut if a viewer purchases the unit using the link provided in the video description area. It helps to support my channel. Unfortunately, I'm not "fairly" compensated for all the time/effort I put into making these videos. Be sure to share with others, and rate thumbs up. Thanks For Watching!
Do you have a tutorial on using the software for the feeltech products? Finding the documentation a little scarce. Or any other resources would be great.
24:26 "Where's the beef?" (Ask your parents about that quote; it was a social meme before we were calling these things memes.) There's bugger all in these DDS function generators. I can't even why they put it in such a large enclosure unless they thought that was a form factor that the market expects a function generator to come in. It could easily have been shortened to sit flush abreast a typical DSO; I think most electronics engineers would appreciate the savings in workbench real estate.
hi friend if i used the FY3224S i must used the oscilloscope to see the wave going back and front? what was the setting you made that do that?? i got one
Hi there. I mentioned in the video which button to press in order to change the type of waveform. I'm in the process of moving, so the unit is packed up. Thanks for watching!
Dear its nice teat equipment. I have a small question: can this instrument create output square output example 10,000 pulses and stop output. I want to connect ch1 ch2 to flow computer chanel .i.e. i will be using this function generator as turbine meter, ofcourse for simmulation only. If yes how i can do that, If not pls suggets the product. Thank you.
Good functionality explanation, thank. But device itself has poor sine at lowest freq, requiered for audio testing. That why 10KHz and higher freq. was used in presentation.
Nice job showing off the features of the unit, I gave you a thumbs up, If is definitely built down to a price point, it seems very toy like... 100ns edges is very slow and almost useless. Is their anyway you can give that a true evaluation? What is phase noise, max current, min count and resolution, frequency stability (open air crystal flapping in the airseems problematic) etc.... any how good job.
+Michael Katt I'll post a link to all the specs in the video description area. For the hobbyist/student, the unit is perfect. The frequency was moving around during the crystal testing because power was applied to the crystal with the ground lead hanging off. Connecting the wire to the input with nothing connected to the clips on the frequency measurement setting will result in no reading.
Just for info, I got mine from amazon. It turned up, and its actually a FeelTech FY2200SP. I saw a forum post that says its possible to unlock the higher frequencies with a key press combination. Any thoughts on this?
Would anyone know where I can get a power supply module for this device, mine crapped out recently. I’m not having any luck finding where to buy one. Thanks.
i have a fy2200sp and i am trying to upload an arbitrary waveform on it but lost the cd , could someone help me out ? the software on the feeltech is driver only , please help , Adrian
Great review has always. Sorry for my lack of comments on your last few video's I has always have Liked,Shared and added to my playlist. Thank you for all the very useful videos. I enjoyed the one about the lemon :) Hard to believe how many people fell for that guys fake video. I checked out his video LMAO. All my best. Bobby
+electronicsNmore Yeah it sucks to see crap like that get so many views and a person like you trying to do the best honest videos you can. I hope you have something cooked up for April 1st ;) Hint hint. All my best. Bobby
Frequency measurement crystal displays zero on my feeltech.I I see in your movie (12:15) that there are 4 wires connected. My test lead has only 2. Can you explain how i connect it ? Can the crystal be measured directly or is there required a circuit between ? (Sorry for bad english, google translate).
fredcom1 I'm using a "Crystal Oscillator". They require a power supply in order to generate a frequency. In order to test a (2) pin crystal, you would need to test the crystal "in circuit". Thank You
oh great im viewer 666. is it true. no it caNT BE. nnnnnNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooooo.........oooooooooooo.......o.o.o.o.o.o. hahahaha

There is so much room inside the compartment I think you can place a battery inside to make it portable :)
+tose22 tose22
I thought the same also. :-) The width could not really be made smaller, but the length could have been 3" shorter. The only problem is, you would not be able to tilt the unit upwards and have good stability.
You would need 3 batteries because the source inside (SMPS) gives 3 voltages...
I wonder if it helps reduce the noise from a switching power supply? Then again if that was the reason I guess you'd expect that to be right at the back as far as possible from the circuits at the front...

How is the floating voltage and current on the BNC connectors?
Hi there. I packed up my equipment a month ago. I'm in the process of moving. Have you clicked on the "specs" link in the video description area? Thanks for watching!
Just ordered mine with discount code, looks a nice bit of kit and will make a great addition for power amp repair and testing.
Big Thumbs Up.

OK. I just updated the coupon code to save $5.12 off the price shown, Refer to the link in the video description area!
HOW ABOUT THE VOLTAGE ON THE GROUND CONTACT OF BNC JACKS? There are lots of comments on that matter, most of them saying that the said voltage is rather dangerous for the sensitive circuits where the signal might be applied...
A nice tutorial would be on how to amplify the power of a cheap signal generator.
Thanks for the detailed video. FYI - I purchased one using your link and tried both your coupon codes but they don't work for USA customers. This tool is a great value. I was looking at the exact same one but under the "Kuman" brand on Amazon and it was over 20% more expensive.
Hi Robert. The coupon code elec works.....or affiliate6. Thanks for your support!
electronicsNmore those are not the codes you list on the video. The ones listed are MEAS77 and EMRLSP

Thanks for the video. Just a thought, could MF be main frequency, and SF be secondary frequency?
+Gadget Review (GRV)
Yes, that is what it means.
Hi, what oscilloscope did you use in video?
Look in the video description area for the link. Thank you!
Do you have a tutorial on using the software for the feeltech products? Finding the documentation a little scarce. Or any other resources would be great.
No, I don't have a tutorial for using their software. Thanks for watching!

You're welcome mike. Please share my channel with others. Thanks!
Can I use this to test or set up stepper motors and drives?
Should be able to. If the power output isn't high enough, then you can always power the base of a transistor to control a high current load.
electronicsNmore Ok, so 1 channel can be used for step and the other for direction pulses? Just making sure thanks
can I drive small dc stepper motors? For example IAC (idle air control valve) solenoid.
As long as the DC motor doesn't require a lot of current, I don't see why not. Thanks for watching!
Just drive it over a transistor
Good functionality explanation, thank. But device itself has poor sine at lowest freq, requiered for audio testing. That why 10KHz and higher freq. was used in presentation.
I wouldn't say poor, but you also cannot expect perfection from a low priced unit like this. It has its uses. Thanks for watching

No idea where. Maybe look for a similar output well filtered power supply online.
Hello can you tell me if I can change a 12 volt Battery? Please let me know
You can use this:

hey can you do a review on the scope?
Unfortunately I have a lot of my equipment packed up for a move.
I saw u used a diff probe that came with the scope...any reason y?
Old one broke.
Great review, thank you for sharing!
+saturn5tony You're welcome.
Thanks for presentation! I'll need to find one with higher freq of about 60MHz, also cheaper.
+crnazvijezda
Glad you enjoyed the video. If you need higher, it will not be cheaper.
+crnazvijezda Currently Feeltech technology has successfully developed a 60Mhz of DDS products will soon be sold.
Hi electronicsNmore, am in Ghana will be possible for me to order this product....

can this scope check voltages over 100v
Yes, I switch the probe setting to x10.
Raj Dann, this is not a scope, it is a signal generator. Seems you are a beginner in this field...
You do need to be careful with these as the internal switching power supply tends to leak line voltage to the output.
Never had any problems. :-)
electronicsNmore mine was very low (I have since put in a linear supply) but I remember seeing someone else whos was putting out a mA at 240v.
Likely had faulty unit. I use mine all the time and handle the connections with my bare hands. Never any issues.

how do I use this in electronics servicing?
You can inject signals into a circuit to make sure other parts of the circuit are working properly.
whats the purpose of a square wave ??
Just ordered with coupon code. Thans forum the upload.

I'm using a "Crystal Oscillator". They require a power supply in order to generate a frequency. In order to test a (2) pin crystal, you would need to test the crystal "in circuit". Thank You
+electronicsNmore thank you for explaining. I try built a test circuit on a breathboard.
whats the purpose of a square wave ....?
Raj Dann it’s used to control loads like motors with pulse-width modulation
Anyone knows if I can get a relative to frequency voltage out of this thing?
I have no idea what you mean. Please explain much better.
electronicsNmore I mean a DC voltage value that corresponds to a feequency value so I can make an analogue voltometer show frequency.
+Thanasis Athanasi This unit will not do that.
electronicsNmore
Thanks for your reply friend...
I have just fucking ordered one !
