As Calvin of Calvin and Hobbs says, "Snow is one of life's pleasures reserved for those who don't drive."
Monday morning commute will be bad. But by Monday afternoon, it'll just be a rainy day.

Agree completely. I remember a two-week stretch in either 1989 or 1990 where it snowed every day. I remember because I had to commute from Renton to Woodinville and the FREEWAYS were packed with snow and ice. (That's unusual, as you probably know. They almost always clear the freeways immediately. But it was just coming down so hard and getting more and more packed down.)

"Some people say this town don't look good in snow" America Ventura Highway. Of course this is nothing like the 1960's. A Port City on Vancouver Island (90 miles north west) got 24 FEET of snow in winter 67-68. That was at the saltchuck, inland was much worse but no weather station.

No the worst Seattle winter snow storm was about 10 years ago. When Seattle shut down for days. The snow was so bad that it was like a blizzard. I remmeber so well cause I lived in Everett at the time and work in Renton. I was the only dumb fool who tried to drive in and almost made it to Seattle but even with wipers going so fast I still could not see where I was going. Turned around and back home. Then hours later found out that the whole Seattle shut down. Snow and then ice. We were not ready for that.
