- What’s up everybody. In todays video, I will be unboxing, installing, and giving my initial review of the Harley Davidson Tall Boy Seat for my 2015 HD Road King. There are two different tall model number tall boy seats on the Harley website. This one sits the rider back 2” but the other model number seat sits the rider back 1.5” and has a slight different cover design.
I found this seat to be very comfortable, it sat me at the stock height (did not drop me lower or raise me higher), and it sat me back a good 2”. Overall, I really like this seat and found it to be a good value compared to much more costly custom seats that are available.

Hi Matt, purchased a tallboy seat for my 2022 Street glide special.
Having difficulty putting on the passenger hold strap. The oem brackets puts the strap onto the rider cushion, instead of between rider and passenger as was on the stock seat. Also purchased the brackets from your video, to extend the floor boards. Waiting for them to arrive. Andy says Hi!
Thanks, Mike
I’ve been rocking a tall boy seat since 2012 when i bought my road glide. It’s not a bad seat but i feel at 6-5, i could sit back maybe another inch. I’m considering the Le Pera kick flip Daddy Long Legs seat. Good review. Great tips for us big guys sitting lower. Rather sit higher. Good review!
There is two tall boy seats on HD website. One sits you back roughly 1-1.50 and the other roughly 2” which was what I had.
@@DieselLegiance okay cool. Thanks!
Hey just wondering if you still like your tallboy seat? Looking at getting on.
Thanks
Absolutely, for taller riders it really did give me extra legroom more than most other seats and it was pretty comfortable. Not as supportive as an $800 seat, but still pretty comfortable overall.
Heya. How's this do for longer rides? When I hit the 150 mile mark I'm done. Some of my other bikes I can knock out a 400 mile day using SeatConcepts- which doesn't make seats for Harleys. Thanks.
I actually liked the seat. It was not as “stylish” as others I’ve tried but it gave me legroom and was fine for the trips I took.
I’m looking and have same issue on my electra glide classic stock and was considering the saddleman but like your wife she didn’t see it as comfortable. We watched this vid and my wife said your wife didn’t mention of she like it lol she’s waiting her reply lol thanks Fort Erie Ontario Canada
Lol sorry about that, my wife really likes the rear seat of this HD Tall Boy as it’s a larger seat area and soft. Her two favorite seats out f the several seats I’ve tried is the HD Tall Boy Seat and the Bad Boyz Cyclez Freedom seat.
lol no worries we're going to look at one this week at our HD shop much appreciated and saved me sending the Saddlemen back, and I ride as you do as well. which did you end up with and did you have a vid of the the Bad Boyz Cyclez Freedom seat?
I kept the bad BBC seat on my street glide and sold the bike. My road king has the HDTB seat. I’m considering trying to BBC seat again as the Diamond stitch looks awesome. ruclips.net/video/NxGOot6f9Fk/видео.html
I just put a tallboy on with backrest. The backrest sadly jammed me right back up on the tank where i was before. And the adjustment under the seat was all the way back. Poor design.
In case anybody else has run into this, here's how i addressed it. Move the back bracket from the hole closest to the front to the third position. (This will move the seat closer to the front.) However the distance isnt the problem. Its poor bracket angle. So instead, make sure the fender bar is under the battery side bracket when your reassemble the front of the bracket. And add 3 1/4 washers to the top side before you reassemble. This will keep the bracket more upright, and keep the backrest from shoving you forward. Safe travels.
You said there were different kinds, buT this set youback the most.... What kind? PART NUMBER?

So did you get rid of the bad boys freedom seat? You don’t like it
Sold the street glide and started over with a new bike. I liked the bad boyz Cyclez seat. It was still firm but it was not as firm as the settlement. I thought it looked awesome too. The tallboy seat from Harley is softer which is what I was going for on this road king I am working on now.
Did you try the Le Pera Daddy Long Legs?
Actually I have the DLL on my latest 2016 RK and I’m about to do a review of it soon.
