My tip would be slip slop slap, skin cancer is no joke. Cheers for the vid :)
@@mocaman99 true that great tip!
Awesome advice Andrews!!

Thanks Mick, glad you enjoyed it thanks for watching.
check you got all your gear before you go 3 hrs drive forgot one high banker hose had to walk10 meters to the banker from my hole ha ha only happened once i can tell you
Yeah even after I double and triple-check I leave gear behind 🤣
Don't forget the Aerogard! Great short, Andrew, another Andrew, an other another, et all Ands, and great input for the short asking us, checking the checklists and safety first, ours, hence the insect repellent, it'd be among the list for what not to forget... a fair question back for you and your audiences, what's the one thing that's forgotten or not considered seriously enough? Ours is inadequate catering. One could kill for a cabbanosi and toast when you're up the creek. And while every passerby nowadays is carrying a fancy metal water bottle, you're kilometres from the car, where the Thermos is sitting, with the sausage, crackers and choc-chip cookies. Everything's going to go to shit or you'll go home when you get hungry. Even a three hour session is honest work capped off with a cuppa. Think of Gadzee and a Dare, can go all day. Catering.
Cheers! G.
For me it's fluids in the form of Powerade or Gatorade, I can go all day without a feed the car ride home is put to use to refuel most trips. Insect repellent is always in the bag it would be a short or itchy day out on the creek around here lately without it haha
@@anothergoldprospector Ha! Eaten a few midges and flies escaping locations for the Bushmen's Formula in the rear of the wagon, but if there's anything effective as leech repellent, I'm all ears. I've enormous ears. Leeches reach unusual bodily sites. I'm not afraid of them, but the fuckers rarely let go obligingly. Especially those stripey ones. What they're doing up in the shrubbery is beyond me, waiting for passing meat, cupping their gobs up into the branches, sitting under wet leaves. Not scared, just annoyed. I'll rub myself up with pepper sauce perhaps. Experiment with hickory smoked bacon, mmm. Cheers mate!
Yeah i had 4 tiger leahes working there way up my waders today I did find a new use for Matts crevice tool though. I also had a dance with a tiger snake today lol
Take a whistle with you (number 3)
My rule; don't step on snakes 🙂
while I've got your attention, 🙂; i'll be checking Anderson Creek in Warrandyte for the first time this weekend; can you recommend a section to target? is that giving away too much?
@@steve-hihosilver243 i would maybe try stoney creek its not far from Andersons and it’s a lot less flogged your perfectly legal to prospect from the yarra to the road crossing on stony and you will definitely have a better chance of gold
@@anothergoldprospector Thanks Andrew, much appreciated
