My husband and I made this last night and it was super easy but we should have added more basil and cut the chicken thinner.
The way I make the chicken flatter is I put a breast into a gallon ziplock, then pound it with my mallet to flatten it. Cooks quicker.

I make it with angel hair usually. I recently added the dish to my permanent menu at our restaurant. Was making it as a special on occasion.

Great recipe, sometimes you just cannot find the right words to describe a recipe, Orsara, the best i can come up with is it looks " flat out delicious" , that is kind of a slang term we use in the u.s., that means cannot be done any better, God bless chef.
My grandparents were from Sicily and I noticed many of the same dishes you create here on your channel, they did too. Some of them are slightly different though.
I also believe through the years my aunts and uncles tweaked certain recipes. I’m sure the depression was a factor in this and then later on adding things as they were easily accessible...
We finished making our sauce over the last two days. I wasn’t there with my cousins, as I had another engagement and wish I could have taken off. Seeing the pictures and videos of my 3 and now 4th cousins stirring the big pot on the fire was just amazing. My one little cousin had to stand on a stool to stir but was so determined!! This tradition I’m happy lives on.
They had 195 jars finished when I called and they were only half way through! My pantry will be well stocked, as usual.

I just finished preparing and eating this dish. It IS as good as it looks! And it was so quick and easy to prepare. The chicken was quite juicy and delicious and the touch of balsamic vinegar gave it just "something a little extra special"!

This is wonderful when I lived in Sicily when my parents were stationed there I used to eat this and then as I became an international flight attendant whenever I go back to Sicily or Italy I will always try to eat this now I can make it thanks to you. @Mari Metr I’m fairly certain that it is a dinner plate from the Portmeirion Potoma collection. I looked at other pieces in Chef Pascale’s videos, such as the one for chicken soup from 5 years ago. The bowl he used in that video is definitely from the Portmeirion Potoma collection. This particular plate doesn’t have the green border but I think the older pieces didn’t. You can google it by name. If you aren’t familiar with replacements.com, it is a NC company that carries the most extensive selection of china available and you will certainly find it there, from the earliest to the latest pieces released.
Just a note of warning, you might want to be sitting down when you look at prices. ) : It is expensive china. The good news is that other companies have made similar sets which are much less expensive. I hope you find just what you want. There’s nothing like the right dinnerware for the perfect meal!
