    This is one of the best lawn care videos I've seen. You worked so efficiently clearing out all that overgrown grass and making the sidewalks accessible, it makes such an incredible difference and I'm sure the homeowners felt like a huge weight was lifted off their shoulders. Without the right equipment that would take forever. No doubt the neighborhood appreciated it as well.

      In our city in suburban Dallas Tx that would never be that way. For people who have front driveways here if they park blocking the sidewalk they will get a $50.00 fine. Code enforcement petrols every other Monday in our area and that grass/weed farm would also get action long before it looked like that.

    There is a saying, "The buck stops here." It refers to a problem being passed on and on, without ever fixing it. Finally, someone says, "The buck stops here!" and fixes the problem. You two found an active and well cared for neighborhood with a "choke point". The access on that corner for visibility, walking, safety was ruined and you tackled it. That is a lot of hard work and the pedestrian access is renewed, the visibility back, the sidewalks usable. The fence plants aren't "eating people alive". Thank you very much.

    Let me tell you a little story and 73 years old and I had a fall when I was 71. I was hospitalized had a bacteria infection and had to have my skin debrided once a week for months on my arm. Very painful procedure. My yard grew up my gutters filled plants grew up on my gutters and my yard kept growing and I had to take care of my physical health going to the doctor trying to recover. Not one neighbor came by to ask if I was okay even though my arm was week to week in a new cast and I had to use a cane to go to the mailbox and to help me back into the house when I took my trash out just when all the treatments stopped my car died. It was in my driveway for 6 months not moving. My neighbors never saw me leave in Uber they saw me receive my groceries doordash for food instacart for food Amazon delivery. Still no one came by to knock on the door. It is now 2 years I can go outside and work in my yard, I can even drive my riding lawn mower. But I do not count on my neighbors. I do not wave to my neighbors anymore. And only this week one of the sisters to my neighbor went on a social site and gave me the left-handed compliment that my yard was starting to look better. All the while she knew I was struggling to maintain. So when I look at this group of fascist socialist democratic do getters.. well imagine what my feelings are. So you're taking on this job and helping someone else and I see that you're out there it makes me believe still in the kindness of strangers. God love you.

      I've been trying to get the city where I live in Texas take care of the sidewalks. They will come out if there's an obstruction like a fallen limb blocking the sidewalk, or a big crack on the concrete. Even though the sidewalks are city's property they want the homeowner to be responsible for cleaning it which to me is ridiculous. In this case, if reported, the property owner can get a code violation for blocking the right of way view. We pay a lot of taxes yet the city does the minimum when it comes to repairs.

    Looks like someone's idea of a country cottage garden got out of hand. I noticed quite a few wild flowers among the various grasses.. It's a shame the sidewalk hadn't been tended; it could have been beautiful when everything was blooming. One of my neighbors did this same kind of thing, and it was gorgeous. However, they did keep the sidewalk clear for pedestrians, and it was a pleasure to walk past their house. Thank you for helping out and being considerate of foot traffic.

    Amazing job and what a blessing to the community and home owner. Many times people just assume someone is lazy and I’m sure many times that’s the case but you never know. It could be someone who is disabled, elderly, etc. I don’t understand why things have changed and neighbors help neighbors, scouts have community service projects as do juveniles with community service. I guess I’m just old but it’s called paying forward as you amazing guys do, doing for others out of the goodness of your heart. Many times I read comments that say they get paid by RUclips…so what, you deserve every penny you get for projects like these. It’s your time, equipment, gas and time from your own families to selflessly give to others. You’re a true blessing!

    I’m so thankful you weren’t working the corner when that semi started his turn! That was a disgusting, unnecessary mess! Thanks for cleaning it up for the people, only I can’t help but feel some of the people could have gotten together to keep that sidewalk open-regardless of whose responsibility it is. Is anyone living in that house? I heard a dog from somewhere. Now if you could just get that white vehicle further down to stop parking ON THE SIDEWALK!!!

    • @alicerichardson5610
      @alicerichardson5610 2 года назад

      you just assume that the house there is resposible for the walkway, there are no walkways on the other side of the street, so it may actually be the city's responsibility.

      i know right that was a close one man. This house is abandoned, we knocked to get a hold of the owner then the neighbors informed us it was abandoned. We decided to cut it either way since its city’s property anyways, we just couldn’t get the inside of the gate. Thanks for watching!
