Milwaukee missed an opportunity in naming these. The straight ones could be called the Deep Reach and the angled ones could have been called the Deep Reach Around 😂
Mr Subaru likes to shit on harbor freights cheaper ratchets had a Pittsburgh professional 3/8s swivel head for 9 years and I use it all day every day. So I agree with funk.
I got the Crescent deep reach needle nose, they have a double scissor design where you don't have to open the handles a foot wide and lose the depth of the tool.
Have double X blue point kit, multiple no-name hemostats in different lengths, regular and pistol long snap-on kits, long angle only knipex, and Mac long hose pullers. 2006 I used long angled for pulling spring clamps (1/4) hose off carbs on Suzuki outboards, still the best tool for that job. For everything else, and most X's use angled. 1st choice locking hemostats, 2nd pistol grip is more comfortable, 3rd knipex (fantastic for cabinet installs), and last are double x... When nothing else will work. For my small hands these are in the maybe want list. Great review including the pipe holder convention😅
Count me in the Gearwrench double x long reach camp, have had them for ages and they work quite well compared to other long reach pliers I've owned/used.
Mr Subaru…. You mean Lord SUBARU!!! I noticed the same thing I stopped, subscribing to him a while ago. Keep up the good videos and let see what new tools this year will have!!
I have a set I got from good ole harbor freight lol I use it almost everyday I work on commercial kitchen equipment and a lot of the pilots assembly’s and wiring is buried within the unit so they help out a ton I may get a set of those Milwaukee ones to test out. I been waiting for this video lol
Yup same with Japanese cars. Always amazed how many patriots drive those while flying the American flag. I know the lame assed argument well they’re made here. So were Pontiacs and Oldsmobiles.
100% agree on the Subaru sap. Watch his old videos and he appears humble and appreciative of his views. His current condescending vibe makes him unwatchable. Got too big for his britches.
Interesting handle design, how they cross over so when you open them they don't just get wide right away, thereby defeating the purpose of reaching into a tight space.. The double hinged variety always seemed to work well that way, staying narrow past the handles, but these look like a viable alternative.
@@chrisjones6002 it’s not the fanboys for me. But the fierce loyalty for any company. Most companies want to sell you something , no matter what it is. I choose tools based upon lifetime warranty and if it works for me not just I have to buy it.

There's a lot of materials that aren't magnetic. 😂 I was fishing some titanium baffles out of a cleaning solvent the other night. Reached for my magnets hanging above my bench, shook my head, and went digging for long needle nose. 😂
Also very useful when you actually need to be able to pull on something, or hold something in place when any amount of force is applied. I just use cheap ones from HF, but they do the business if you're trying to pull a clip out of something, or push the clip back in. Try changing the air struts on a Town Car with a magnet and see how far it gets you.
I bought the cheap harbor freight ones, I found myself using them WAY more than I thought I would. But sadly, they rust so bad and not very well built. But it was all I could afford. I wasn't expecting a Milwaukee hand tool costing $100 for the set either. I used to think there hand toold were very affordable.
I have an old snap-on with the 45 similar to yours that was discarded while I was in the service, I adopted it. , I absolutely use it everyday, it’s a 3rd hand for me. Curious to see the Milwaukee version, looks like it’s out of stock with your link provided.
As a electrician im positive that these plier shouldnt be used in a live circuit. Even if the handels were insulated enough, there is way to much metal exposed... very high risk to make a short circuit or electrocute you...
The influencer bit gets me. Like you’ve got people waving tools around for months and I’m wondering when it will actually hit the store. I’ll buy them later, will definitely use for removing plastic in wheels, leverage, and deep spots.
Funny thing Canadian Tire in Canada has changed to Veitnam for 1 reason Premiupm steel and tools for 60% less and every New Veitnam tool I have and testes Blows Snap on and every USA made tool out of teh water ..in every way even fit and finish
Call me cheap if you want but $60 for the two pliers is a little more than I'd pay. I would just use them at home so it's hard to justify spending that much on tools I might use a couple time a year. They do seem nice though.
The former adminiistration applied tariffs to products from China Companies either shifted their production to other countries or just lied and changed the country of origin on the packaging to avoid the stigma of the Made in China label. Honestly if I had to grab a nut down in a tube, I'd use a magnet... Strange question for you I saw on your table that you have a brass soldering iron tip cleaner I'm just wondering if you stick a magnet to it if the brass will stick to it because brass is not magnetic I bought one off of eBay and Amazon and they were identical I sent them both back because the brass stuck to the magnet
Brass is an alloy, and cheap chinesium being what it is, they most likely toss some scrap steel of some sort in the pot just because it's there. A wet sponge works great for cleaning your tip. Well, anything wet really can clean the tip 😅
I don't really have a use for the long pliers, so instead, a good ole cheapo extendable magnet works for most of the times I need a long reach. Keep 'em flying!
I wouldn't be so sure they were manufactured by the U.S. engineers. Milwaukee, being entirely a NON-U.S. company probably hired someone from the Hong Kong area, where the owner of Milwaukee, TTI Industries, is from. Sadly, Milwaukee isn't an American company anymore.
Mr Subaru is a prick. He tried to tell me a ratchet wasn't a wrench so I told him from here on out he's only allowed to call it a Torque ratchet... wrench is an action.

Yeah, but then the government would never buy them.
For going deep in dark holes.
I just picture a powder coated version with the name laser etched on the length now.
lol that wouldve been genius
A thumbs up for the Mr. Subaru slam.
that guy is such a douche
The only tool that Mr.Subaru should be reviewing is himself.

A potential beef between Funk and Mr Subaru is not how I expected 2024 to start 😂

I have a set from Harbor Freight. Used them twice in 6 years. The only reason to buy HF.

Nice. Deep Reach was my nickname in high school.
I can't think of any situation where those would be better than a telescoping magnet.
Yeah… they’re one of those things where you find a need for them as you go.

From roach clips to finding sh!t long live the needle nose pliers 🫡
Your review was so successful Home Depot is sold out ! Any bets on how long it will take until HF knocks them off ?
I think them selling out was a coincidence 😜

If they had opposing blades I could do my toe nails with them. There you go.
Now there’s something I can get behind. Someone keeps moving my toes further away
But like the double joint version from crescent tools more me think may not have as long a reach
I saw a doctor pull a mini car out of this little kids ear with one of those.
