My mum loved visiting York Christmas Market at this time of year.We would jump in the car and come down from Hull,only a 41 mile trip up the road(about 1 three quarter hours) travelling time.

Been to York Christmas market many times. Too crowded and so expensive,never again.£8 for a hot dog is absolutley outrageous.

If you want a good place to eat in York try Browns coffee shop on the ground floor.Its a little expensive but the food quality is good.

Most of that stuff on those stalls is cheaply made trash from China.Please be very careful what you buy from these stalls.

You are right. We like York and Yorkshire. We just don't like how the Christmas markets are changed. The idea for Christmas markets was affordability for ordinary people to enjoy Christmas, who can't afford restaurants, not like now
