Man, I swear. When I walked into Iceolation, I knew the song was familiar...and then it hit me like the biggest nostalgia attack of my life. Whoever suggested to put this song in the game...is the best wo/man ever. Give that person a medal.

I have no clue why 9 year old me wanted this mouthful of a game from Gamestop one day, but I'm so glad my Dad bought it for me. First Dragon Quest I ever played, and the taste of nostalgia this track gives me is sweeter than any tangible sugary substance in existence
I played this awesome game first, then I downloaded some GBC emulator on my phone, and started playing Dragon warrior monsters. I recognised it by some of the monsters ( beaten DQ9 as well) and by this one theme. I didn't know Warrior was the US version of Quest... I love this theme :D
Yup, Dragon Quest was known as Dragon Warrior for quests 1-3 and Monsters i believe, before they stopped being ported to the US altogether. It wasn't until DQVIII that they started bringing them to the US again, and dropped the different naming scheme. i believe the reason they were called Dragon Warrior over here was because of a Magazine that was out at the time, and Enix(before the buyout from Squaresoft) didn't want to deal with any potential lawsuits.
Rota Abyssian Actually, every pre-2003 DQ games have been known as Dragon Warrior in the west. so... Dragon Warrior 1-4, Dragon Warrior 7, Dragon Warrior Monster Dragon Warrior Monsters 2 (Coby's Journey and Tara's adventure)
I hadn't played the first Dragon Warrior Monsters since I was probably 12 and I remembered this well enough to play it on my ukulele last year. Never played joker or any other DQM game though.
I am not even a fan of Pokemon anymore unlike in my childhood but Shin Megami Tensei's also a good monster catching game though I have fond memories of the GB Dragon Warrior Monsters.
I played genshin a while a ago and nostalgia hits me hard because the music is kinda similiar to icelocation and the cave part of the game, nostalgia hits different
@Draconated Please! I don't know if you are ripping them from the game directly or from (if there even is one) the OST, but the sound quality is nice :D I miss the old games too :(

When I played through this game I never noticed the pun in Iceolation. God I feel stupid.
The Lazy Reaper Dragon Quest has a tendency to hace puns for it's town and location names. Unshore, is an obvious example.
