Is Tai Chi an ok practice among Hasidic Jews???

Victor Morgado Tia Chi is something I practiced years ago for exercise...and it's a martial art as well...I think it depends on what you are using it for...

I practiced it also for many years, but unlike regular exercise, Tai chi requires daily commitment, since the purpose is a perfect flow for the "chi" to accomplish it's purpose. I find that a day off from taichi takes away from the commitment and it makes it easier to miss another day. the effort of such discipline totally unrelated to prayer (I had also tried to make it a prayer) may take precious time that could be devoted to hitbodedut, reading Torah etc..that was my concern..
