The Sky Diver and the Chance Turbo were two of my favorites growing up. I’m still holding on to slim hope that someone will decide to manufacture these attractions again.
One of my all-time favourite rides , it always looked so impressive towering over the other machines . I remember it taking alot of effort to control the rotation of the cars with the steering disc , after a few rides one developed muscles like Popeye . Great video man , thanks for sharing the results of all your hard work and research.
Another top class video! Shame it's in storage as a ride like this could still easily pull it's weight at bigger fairs. The only issue with these sorts of things is the unloading and loading of passengers which takes a long time along with the number of people and time required for build up.
That’s so awesome I still use our sky diver in fact the sky diver clip you showed and have linked in the description (on ride) that’s owned by Majestic Midways’s is the one that is one of my favorite rides to build up at our fairs
Growing up the skydiver was one of my favorite rides. I use to turn the car upside down as we were going past the ride operator. He told me I was not the first one to do that, I know but it was still a lot of fun. I guess the best part of this ride was depending on your strength, how much you can enjoy this ride. 😁
@@FairPixVideos sky diver never came to Brixham but it did have the zipper ride and whiteleggs funfair had the first orbiter(invader) which I believe is still going strong in Belgium Brixham fair has long gone (2008) and the Paignton regatta to fair is nothing to what is was, Dartmouth is still going had different leases over the years and still has some fabulous rides over the falls, tagada freddys revenge and others to name a few hope that helps the sky diver use to go to Newton abbot to
hi Fair Pix thats a nother great video i have watched the other three videos i loved the Roller i had built a model of it i am also goning to build a model of the of the Tsunami top spin too cant wait for the next awsome video : )
This came to great yarmouth easter fair one year only and it looked massive in the market place. I rode it and clearly remember the inside of the cars and the steering wheel.
Is this following one skydiver?? Or multiple divers? I have always loved riding a diver..thing is intimidating just looking at it . But its beautiful to look at as well
I rode this at Salisbury charter fair not sure of the year best friend's finger got trapped as we got shut in to our car i screamed in pleasure at a fantastic ride he screamed in pain from black and blue fingers ha ha.
@@FairPixVideos I'm sure i have pictures of the loads waiting pull on we were paying attention at the wheels as it still had the American style studded ones that didn't look strong enough.
The Chance SkyDiver was one of the most beautiful rides from my childhood. Uncomfortable to ride but so beautiful to look at.
Yep it certainly wasn't the most relaxing experiences on board, I remember going past the loading platform lob sided! 😂😂

I have no end of the series planned yet, more to come.
Love it Martin, thanks for using a snippet of my Abingdon ock street fair 1998, just sorry there wasn’t much footage

Totally agree with your last point, slow loading machines aren't very popular now.

Which fairs does Majestic Midways usually put up their Sky Diver? I'd love to ride one. Thanks.
Another cracking episode Cooper!
Just imagine you & Si on this! 😂😂

I don't remember this, but I swear there was a Zipper at Evesham Mop in the 90's.
I still can't work out what that song is at 6:28. Tried Shazaming it but it's been no help.
Mantronix featuring Wondress - Got To Have Your Love
Fantastic 😊
Great video. Would be nice for it to make the odd outing if it's still in storage.
Was in Paignton Devon for the summer regattas travelled with Anderton and Rowlands
Yeah I saw it at Paignton & Torquay. Was good times staying down there and catching these Brixham & others.

Yep it went a lot of places I didn't mention including Oxford St Giles where it stood by the Voyager!
@@FairPixVideos amazing! Hope there are more of these videos to come?!
It was at the Alton expo in 1987
Insane ride. Be interesting to see if it be popular on today’s traveling circuit.
Been wondering this myself same applies with a Zipper I suppose.
i remember being a kid and told i had to wait to ride it cause i was to small and when i finnaly got big enough they stopped bringing it out

UK only had one Diver. Next episode is coming soon about a different ride from the same era.
What episode is shake me and Stuart Brett are waiting 😂
Crazy Shake is in the pipeline for the future. Might have to do a second series to keep you waiting Dan! 😂😜👍

Went there direct from Hull in 93 with Wilson's Superbowl. Still haven't seen any pics of it at Salisbury yet.
