বক্রেশ্বর মন্দির :-
স্থানীয়ভাবে পূজিত শিবের নাম থেকে বক্রেশ্বর শব্দটি এসেছে। বাঁকা মানে বাঁকা বা বাঁকা। কিংবদন্তি আছে যে লক্ষ্মী এবং নারায়ণের বিবাহ অনুষ্ঠানের সময়, অষ্টবক্র মুনি (তখন সুব্রত মুনি নামে পরিচিত) সত্যযুগে ইন্দ্র দ্বারা অপমানিত হয়েছিলেন। মুনি এতটাই ক্রুদ্ধ হয়েছিলেন যে তার শরীরে 6টি পঙ্গু হয়ে গিয়েছিল (অষ্টবক্র মুনি মানে 6টি কুটিল পঙ্গু ঋষি)। বহু বছর ধরে এখানে তপস্যা (ধ্যান) করার পর অষ্টবক্র মুনি ভগবান শিবের আশীর্বাদ পেয়েছিলেন। স্থানটি 51টি শক্তিপীঠের মধ্যে একটি হিসাবেও বিখ্যাত, যেখানে মূল শক্তিকে উত্সর্গীকৃত একটি মন্দির রয়েছে। এটি হিন্দুদের একটি প্রধান তীর্থস্থান।
মন্দিরটি সাতটি উষ্ণ প্রস্রবণ দ্বারা বেষ্টিত, যেগুলির ঔষধি গুণ রয়েছে বলে বিশ্বাস করা হয়। মন্দিরটি তার স্থাপত্য সৌন্দর্য এবং নির্মল পরিবেশের জন্যও পরিচিত।
