    As a Duke fan, hats off to Tenn who out played us. I do not like the ultra rough style of play; equally, I do not like when refs call touch fouls, so it’s a balance. Regardless, I think Tenn played better overall defense than Duke in this game, hands down. Congrats

      Tennessee has top 5 facilities for basketball and one of the top programs in the nation for attendance. What Barnes has done is pave the way for a successor to perhaps take it yet to another level when it comes to performance in the ncaa tournament. I hope this team breaks the mold and goes to the final 4 like UT was projected to in 3 other seasons with Barnes at the helm...remember the year before last with 2 NBA 1st round draft picks? Remember last year with the top rated point Guard & Zeigler along with a core of veterans? An embarrassment of riches and talent only to flame out/ not even progress past the 1st or 2nd round.

      @JustinR941 Год назад

      @@jg495 The reason we have that kind of attendance is because we win a lot of games. The reason we are projected so high is because we win a lot of games. All I hear from you is, we haven't won a national championship. That's it. Because we are no different than any other school compared to everything else you say. Kansas has lost in the round of 32 as a 1 seed several times. Virginia lost to a 16 seed when they were the overall number 1 seed. Virginia just got bounced out this year. Purdue out. Duke out. If you think we have a wealth of talent....you might want to look at Duke's roster. None of that matters in the tournament. Look at Princeton right now. Barnes consistently has us at or near the top of the polls. He wins a ton of games. He doesn't bring in five 5star recruits like Calipari every year. He may get one or two max but he will bring in some 3 and 4 stars along with them. He builds teams. I've seen this season coming for a while. We have a lot of seniors that have played a lot of basketball together. I enjoy every season because we always win a lot of games. This season is no different. I wouldn't trade Barnes for any coach in America. I would suggest you enjoy Barnes time here because the alternative is probably going to be worse. You know Kentucky fans wanted Calipari fired. Would you trade Calipari's record at Kentucky with Barnes? He does have 1 national championship there. But he also coached Kentucky's worst season of all time. I'll take Barnes and his style any day. I don't want a bunch of 1 and dones that never really feel like part of the community in Knoxville. I want to follow and cheer for Fulkerson, James, Vescovi, Nkamhoua. Guys that are here for a while. I love everything about the way Rick Barnes runs our program. It took a stumble and a fumble against Arkansas for all of our 5 star football recruits to finally win a championship in 98. Sometimes the ball just has to bounce your way. Who knows maybe this year is our year in basketball? I'm all in either way.

    Losing Mitchell just before tip changed everything about this game....that's the one player that you need more than just about anybody else with this particular match up from a personnel standpoint.
    Also, when those early reviews were treated as common fouls, that gave them the greenlight to keep playing goon ball. Then, the refs realized it was getting put of hand and pulled a total 180 and started calling every touch foul. And yea, at the same time, a team that's historically a 30% 3pt shooting team hits 45% of their 3's....literally a perfect storm for Duke.

      I agree 100%!! Tennessee has 0 respect for anyone in the game regardless of what the staff, team and fan base claim or argue! As a uk fan, I've always rooted for the Tennessee program when we weren't playing them up until about 2 or 3 seasons ago when they started playing street ball and disrespecting everyone with obscene, immaturity and unnecessary roughness. Unfortunately that is how this squad loves to play and Barnes has accepted it just as much which personally I think gives the conference and the program a bad look and name. Now our fans are shameful and embarrassing but it's mainly towards the program itself. Tennessee fans are abysmal to everyone on the outside who has the manners and maturity of a High school barbie girl or emmo boy just hitting puberty! Now duke has had some pretty dishonest bangers themselves under coach k several times " Grayson Allen " so their not entirely innocent either historically lol! Don't think for one minute that the Tennessee fans don't have their suit cases full of mustard and golf balls ready to go off at any given time though..

Why do u never see that in 99.9% of basketball games... switch uniforms and I beat yall are screaming foul... just bad officiating the whole game.. the way that game was played both teams should have shot 30 free throws apiece... they call touch fouls but not elbows to the face 🤔🤦🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

    Seth Greenburg: 'one of the worst officiated games I've ever seen.' Tennessee committed multiple F1 fouls not called. Refs gave them permission to play like thugs. Not good for college basketball. FAU coach said he was going to look up rules for rugby before playing Tenn. next week. It will be interesting to see if the NCAA tells the sweet 16 refs to call things more closely.
