The only reason people say it's good is because the writer died before completion. When it comes to honoring your colleague/friend, I feel like it would have been more respectful to properly finish the game instead of just dumping this rushed product.

With the lazy AI cutscenes, weird plot, boring repetitive gameplay, tons of bugs and the stark contrast between the amazing trailer and the half baked released game, its not wonder people think this game is awful. It had so much potential, a unique and awesome idea for a game, but fell so flat and also cost $30 bucks to play. There are shittier games out there but this is definitely top of the list for "most disappointing games of 2024".
I'm in the ballpark of the death of the creator of this game is the reason it ended up being lackluster. Without the guy who actually knew what the game was gonna involve, development got scuffed and we ended up with what they managed to put together without all of his vision. At least that's what I believe, but getting into all the development details isn't high on my priority list.
This probably sounds like a lazy argument, but Charlie honestly just got a lucky playthrough where no major bugs happened. The game was pretty buggy when I played, and I even got soft locked in the giraffe enclosure. Things just happened to work right for him... I'm happy for him I guess lol

Man i hate that someone told him to make lethal darts. He was going to make the cure for the mutated giraffe at first. He could've saved the animals instead of kill them.

I swear to God how he played this game pissed me off 😂 didn't answer the phone before picking up the woman missed an entire interaction, then my boi decides it's impossible to keep feeding the wallabys instead of trying to go make more food 😂 but had the mental capacity to know how to track the mutant wallaby. This one's not really his fault but it also felt the 3 phone calls were weirdly out of order. I kinda hope he plays this again but I also hope he pays more attention and actually tries to do the task yea doing them slow is gonna obviously gonna slow down the process but thats why ur supposed to prepare and such. Also the main character like barely reacting to the mutant was super weird

It’s A.I slop… the dialogue script is lazy generated by A.I that’s why the story sucks… the devs just generated dialogue on top of eachother but as the game progresses you gotta remind the A.I about the so called story of the game so it starts to hallucinate which confuses the players. Bad game A.I slop… such a shame A.I has written the story which is not even surprising… animation and graphics are cool tho.. i can see the references of Alien Isolation.
The screen writer who had the whole idea for this game died mid-production. While i agree that the AI dialogues are terrible as is the story and all i can understand why it turned out the way it is

Tbh i can see what they were trying to do but there needs to be a lot of changing.. the Characters themselves are super weird.. The Story itself doesnt make a lot of sense and isnt well written but that could be changed I guess... What I dont really like is that its very short tbh and the multiple endings is not really needed...
