You close your windows, because whole city is covered by smoke, and you cant breathe normally, home is full of smoke, your eyes, your brain is feels bad, you sleep 2 hours and wake up to a next day, you read news, tens of people damaged, hospitalized, several buildings burnt to the ground, cars, roads destroyed, 10 years old kid hospitalized now. Do you remember this? Or you didn't even know? xD But millionier footballer on a sportcar is more important, we understand you guys 🥰

Beyond the human tragedy the footballing world & LFC in particular have lost an amazing footballer. His passion & enthusiasm for the game was infectious as was his smile. I didn’t know Diogo Jota personally. I have no connection to him or his brother, except for my own name, which happens to be the same as Diogo’s brother who also passed.
But as many of you I do follow Liverpool FC, as I have for most of my life. And what I do have are memories. Memories of goals he scored, of moments of joy he brought, of late winners that made mid week and weekends feel absloute magic.
And now I carry something else. After learning more about the man behind the goals, how kind, how generous, how loved he was by the Liverpool community (and of course all of Portugal for whom he also played), by friends, by family, by the person he’d just married only two weeks ago by the three children he leaves behind, I feel sadness. Deep, genuine sadness.
I think the suddenness and dramatic nature of his passing has probably caught me out a little bit. For today, I shed tears. Not because I knew him, but because something about this loss pierced through. And I let it.
Because sometimes we need to stop and feel it all. The fragility. The unfairness. The preciousness. Life doesn’t always make sense, but we can honour it by letting it move us. RIP, Diogo and Andre.
Thank you for the joy, the light, the inspiration, on and off the pitch.

We make plans for the future as if we own tomorrow. The next one hour is not guaranteed for anyone born of a woman. If you have money enjoy your life, touch lives of others close to you, leave a good legacy to remind those you left behind of you. If you're not rich, tell those around you that you love them. Tomorrow is not guaranteed. Jota's life was short but inspiring. He was a gentle achiever par excellence, he was a goal machine. It's a black day for all lovers, writers, managers and followers, of football. I thought about his wife, where will she start from with 3 young kids?? I thought about their parents, how would they handle the loss of two young kids that they raised in humble background to become big stars??? I'm a Nigerian Liverpool fan and I need someone to console me, it hits me so hard i can't stop crying. Jotaaaaaa!!!!! 😭 😭 😭
