Chromatic aberration is very easy you only need one effect, the VR digital glitch effect. Just apply it to an adjustment layer, and in the effect settings go into the distortion dropdown and turn distortion rate to 0. In the same dropdown you'll find the color distortion setting. Increase the value and you have chromatic aberration. There are a whole load of setting for you to customize the effect and you can turn down the opacity or duplicate the layer depending on how strong you want the effect.
Hey Boone, How are you? I remember you did a Vox style map a while ago and it's a channel that I really enjoy. My question is, are you able to make a video explaining Vox's animations? In the video "How trucker country music became a '70s fad" they have a lot of great animations in the beginning and they all have a _je ne sais quoi_ that it seems that they are always "animating" with excellent animated background choices, and also it's not smooth, like it was at 10 fps or so. Thanks!
Thanks! It's amazing as a standalone plugin. However, if you want to open up all of the customization options you'll need to know how to use Mapbox OR purchase the additional MapTiler data plan ($25/month). Also, if you plan on doing 3D terrain or sliced landscape maps, you'll need to purchase other expensive plugins like Mettle Freeform, Trapcode Mir, or Plexus. Not all three, but one of them.
That’s the smart way to do it. :) Yes indeed GEOlayers does this quite easily. I could’ve done JSON or CSV. Not sure which would’ve been the best option.
Hello! I'm working on a premium masterclass about this very topic as we speak. So when I release that, I will also be putting out a bunch of free content on my channel as well, so stay tuned! Is there something you want to see in particular?
@@BooneLovesVideo thanks for replying Boone. well I guess something like the front line animation of north and south Korea but can u do it in like one motion so the country is red and then it is completely filled by blue. something like that i would really like. thx
bro like just for creating a map it took so much time and skills, idk how much time lemmino spends in total, including all his ideas research editing animation and much much more...
Boone ..Thank You !! Kindly help me with an answer... I am a beginner and generally edit my simple videos in DaVinci Resolve. I am amazed by looking at these cool map animations on your channel. Kindly tell me such effects possible with DaVinci Fusion too? Or these VOX style map animations can only be done in Adobe After Effects ? I simply love them.. Thank you so much ??
Thanks for the kind words! I've never messed around with Fusion, but I'm pretty sure you can create the same look over there. GEOlayers is specifically designed as an After Effects extension, so this will only work with AE. I would search map animations using Fusion and see what you find.

This is what i mean when i say "Where we dropping boys?"
ah nice
Great Job Boone, I’m glad to see you’re taking viewer requests!
Hey thanks! Yeah this was a fun one. I like the requests. :)
I know im late to the party, but maybe you could use the VR digital glitch inside AE for the RGB shift effect at 5:15?

Cool! Thanks for the suggestion. I'll take a closer look at that video and see what I can come up with.
Please do more of LEMMiNO. This was a great video!
Thanks! I probably will.
@@BooneLovesVideo This!!! especially the character animation he did in the DB Cooper vid
@@markmunyui That's 3d. you need either cinema 4d or blender to do it
Bro, you forgot to add the chromatic aberations on the edges. Finish the job !
You forgot to show how to do the chromatic aberration.
Should I just export directly without Finalizing imagery in Geolayer 3? Or Finalizing before export?
Always finalize before you export! :)
@BooneLovesVideo Thank you so much for taking time to answer my question. 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Is there any way to import geographical point to this map as a geojson file to animate automatically? Instead importing them manually one by one
Yeah, this was definitely not the smartest way to do this workflow. Going to do a video on this topic soon. :)
Awesome tutorial. Is Geolayers standalone any good or do you need any other plugins with it?

@@BooneLovesVideo Alright I'll check it out. Thank you!
Now we talking. Loved it!
Thanks!
you can do the chroma effect easily using a redgiant universe plugin called chromatic aberration or a sapphire plugin called warpchroma btw
Nice thanks!
Is there away to use data from some external file to upload all these explosions locations?
That’s the smart way to do it. :) Yes indeed GEOlayers does this quite easily. I could’ve done JSON or CSV. Not sure which would’ve been the best option.
Make some realistic Nu_clear animations like we do in Ukraine. btw Great Tutorial Bro. Keep it UP ⬆
KEEP DOING LEMMiNO TUTORIALS!!!! YOU ARE THE BEST....
Hey thanks!
How did you learn all this? Each thing has so many details, makes my mind explode 😂
hey boone im making cool map animations for a doc im making can u make a video about like cool war animations?

and also like how to make the country glow like Johnny harris.
What laptop are you using?
I’m using a pimped out ASUS Zenbook Pro Duo
Absolute banger of a video! I am really psyched to learn more of the craft and your videos are a huge help. Please make more videos, my man.
Very good training course, Thank you.
Surprised you didn't just import many hypothetical city points as a .csv and just mass label all of them at once!
Duuuudee such a good idea!

Thanks a lot for the tutorial.
as always, great💓

Thanks for the tutorial. Do you think Lemmino uses GeoLayers too?
You're welcome! Thanks for watching. And I have no idea if they use GEOlayers. I just now that they have crazy motion design skills. 😮
