Its funny how most of you guys down in the states rarely use clean up buckets. Like 90% of the time thats what we use here in BC. All of our machines have quick changes with digging buckets too weather it be a bolt on wedge style, hydraulic wedge or pin grabber.
CrazyEye75 Near all our hoes have a hydraulic thumb too, and gaurding! A pin on bucket with no thumb on a plain machine just looks weird to me.. But I'd love to run a tilt rotator in the dirt for a bit!
When u get used to use the tiltroteter ill never take it off, u can see here we almost never take that off and have a tilt rotated on every machin we have old and new. Tilty rotary heaven
Dirt Ninja, Thanks for keeping us up on your progress. Dig the videos always learning. That Tiltrotator is wicked cool, bet you're having fun. Look forward to future videos on this project, the haters will always hate and someone's always better than everyone else. Keep On Keeping On.
If you have any engcon people close by there, you oughta get them to look at the amount of oil the tiltrotator is getting. there's a pretty strained noise everytime you spin or tilt. having the right oil preasure makes all the difference. it can make the machine send more oil than needed so you loose power to other functions while using it.
I noticed that noise too. Its much louder in the video than real life. The camera picks up some noises strange ive found. Do you think it is getting too much or too little oil?
Dirt Ninja it sounds like it gets too much oil, its usually the case with a freshly installed tiltrotator. You're supposed to be able to calibrate it to set machine. Set oil preasures to where it barely moves to get a low enough preasure in the start, instead of the machine slamin full preasure into it when its not being used. I used to have a similar system and engcon walked me through it over the phone. But it never got great until a tech guy from hitachi had a look at the machine and made some settings himself. Made a huge difference! Call them and ask how to calibrate it if possible :) might save fuel and make it feel better
No problem! Its fun to finally see some tiltrotators in the us. one easy test to see if the tilty uses to much oil from the machine is to hoover the edge of the bucket evenly and close to the ground towards the machine as if you were carefully grading. if you then slightly tilt or rotate when doing so, you'll see if the arms direction is affected without you adjusting your input. usually it drops the bucket towards the ground cuz the boom loses some oil preasure. If you're lucky when calibrating the tiltrotator you can minimize or even get rid of that annoying symptom! Post an update if you manage to improve it! :)
also in the aspect of calibrating and such, if you ever get another tiltrotator, you oughta check out Steelwrist. they have an awesome touch display with their system where you can easily oversee and adjust all pressures and settings!
Use the bottom of the bucket as a guide when leveling anything. Makes better results and you get a smoother ride. Btw, look up for some engcon videos to master all the handy little things faster. Mr.Seilorman from RUclips makes good videos and he is a real pro.
hey, just a tip for u , never dig in reverse , just had a friend almost get killed by pulling a tree though the window ,it hit the drive levers ,and because the machine was digging facing reverse it started going forward into the tree pinning him into seat,he was able 2 turn the key off just in time, had 2 be cut out with chainsaw!
Yep, any heavy work should be done with your primaries to the rear for safety in that way. Also protects the primaries while working.... same goes for walking, primaries should be downhill.
Why doesn't your dump truck 6 wheeler pull six feet closer to the edge of the grass line so that you don't ask the bucket out that far the driveway is going farther away from the direction he is pointing would make more sense why don't you take two in off of nothing but brass the whole length and then take for 5 in beautiful topsoil and save the beautiful topsoil for the homeowner
I may have missed it but have you stopped working for your dad? Do you rent the truck from your dad ? didn't realize you had a partner, How is that arrangement setup?
I Kno what u mean. I run a 330 Volvo in NYC n I wish I had one of those. IMAGINE THE POSSIBILITIES! Why don't theese catch on here in USA? I know Europe's had em for decades!
andrew dougall probably just getting used to the new attachment. Fair bit heavier, longer on the quick hitch too due to the top hitch and the dirt looks super soft
does that even matter? anyone can see that he's a bit rough with it. sorta slamming the bucket into the dirt now and then. pretty unnecessary. i've been running excavators with rotortilts for 10+ years and i agree with him.
That tilt rotater is one sweet attachment.

haha, very true! Thanks for watching!
Man that thing looks handy as hell!
Awesome video ! Thanks for sharing that. Love that swivel on the bucket. I'm glad you posting more often... love these videos !
Thanks!
I've been waiting for this video for weeks! I can't wait to watch more.

Awesome, thanks for the info I really appreciate it!

gonna take a while to get use to that thing
Love it! Looks like a fun and amazingly efficient attachment
Thanks!
Total gamer he was using the triaxle to haul in gravel. If you get alot of soil mixed with rocks, maybe look into an EZ Screen. Make your own topsoil.
got any more info or a URL for the EZ screen?
That is so cool!!! I'm looking forward to watching more of you're videos!!
Almost every digger here in sweden has a tiltrotator
Need more videos dude! What do you like about those smaller dirt hauling trucks?
You may look into getting an engcon grading beam next it would make that last part of your video a lot faster great video by the way
You are a great operator
That truck is ridiculously small! :D
can you make and post a video when you dig the foundation
I wish we had soil like that out here in Utah!

excavator fun I've been tought to dig over the non driving wheels as to not stress the final gears.

Those buckets look really high rather than wide, what's the measurements?
Need to look up duckgirl from uk on here. She has a lot of cool add on's for that head.
I want to buy a similar one, please how much?
What kind of music do you listen while you are working?

Dang love your videos!!!
Any tips on getting heavy equipment operating jobs
start small
Keep up the great work man, you should have your partner do some videos
he likes to remain behind the scenes :)
Why the heck aren't you using the triaxle
tri-axles are not good at all off road. No need to beat up a 200k truck. Plus it was hauling gravel for the driveway
11/2 yard bucket is tiny actually
I may have missed it but have you stopped working for your dad? Do you rent the truck from your dad ? didn't realize you had a partner, How is that arrangement setup?
No still working for my parents mon-thurs. My partner is doing the excavation work full time.
sure wish my boss would buy 1 of those.I prob. have 2 buy my own machine and bucket before I get 2 use 1
excavator fun if Scandinavia is anything to go bý you boss will be out of business if he doesn't buy one.

Have you got the GCS Flex system connect to the EPS yet?
no not yet. I have the first on in the US so we are still figuring it out
Dirt Ninja thanks for the reply
need more info on this pls
the tilt-rotator will hook up to my Trimble grade control system all internally just like the hydraulics. No more plugs.
Talk to your SITECH dealer about kit number 74706-97
He is still 25 ft away from the crane
You need a dozer
Or a large HP CAT tracked loader
You are so rough with that thing, bucket or not you need your seatbelt on so u don't fall out of the seat.... Horrible
And what is your experience with an excavator???
andrew dougall probably just getting used to the new attachment. Fair bit heavier, longer on the quick hitch too due to the top hitch and the dirt looks super soft

+Nursery Life been running ex for 15 plus years... he's rough before he had the tilt.... sometimes I wish my parents would buy me all the cool toys
I actually fell out of the machine twice, but I edited it out. I was hoping no one would notice... but ya got me :(. People make me laugh, lol
