- [4K] Scooby-Doo: The Museum of Mysteries Trackless Dark Ride at Warner Bros World Indoor Theme Park in Abu Dhabi. It's definitely one of our favorite Trackless dark rides outside of a Disney Parks. It's an actual dark ride, not a Scooby-Doo Spooky roller coaster ride like at other theme parks.

"Follow Scooby, Shaggy, Fred, Daphne and Velma through secret passageways and eerie corridors as they split up to look for clues, meddle in the goings-on and wrap up the mystery on this family-friendly ride." - wbworldabudhabi.com
Fun Fact: Warner Bros World Theme Park is currently the World's Largest Indoor Theme Park follow by IMG World of Adventure indoor theme park in Dubai. Warner Bros World opened July 25, 2018.
If you guys are planning on visiting Dubai & Abu Dhabi in the future, definitely pay a visit to Warner Bro World theme park. It's one of my favorite theme parks in UAE. For more information & tickets please visit : www.wbworldabu...
Props to that Shaggy actor, not the worst I've seen at all.
TidMiste it’s Scott Innes, he was the voice of shaggy in Scooby-Doo and the Witch’s ghost, Scooby-Doo alien invaders, Scooby-Doo and the cyber chase upon others
@@cody1981 no it's not Scott is short
@@cody1981 I honestly didn't expect to hear his voice in this, I thought Matthew Liliard was gonna play him again. That was a pleasant suprise
Shaggy's spirit must have been sleeping, only using 0.5% of its power.
Shaggys voice is actually pretty easy if you can just work with it and practice a bunch, anyway they always try to get the actual voice actors to voice lines for rides to increase immersion
It sure does say something about Scooby Doo that it can be translated 100% into a 5-minute dark ride without losing any aspect of a basic episode.
The hall of doors is neat though.
I guess it's one of those "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" things.
It's one of the best dark rides I've seen. Scooby Doo just has that kind of formula. And it can still somehow be modernized.
@@GacMan47 I definitely agree that it has a very adaptable formula and it works well for the ride. Certainly doesn't rank at the top of my favorite dark rides though.
There's so much blank space on the walls that it felt really distracting. There's two or three moments where you go down long hallways with literally nothing to look at. Not to mention the lack of detail in the animatronics. I don't know what of that is up to budgetary constrictions, but it just can't compare to things like Mystic Manor, Pirates of the Caribbean at Shanghai, or other rides of that caliber.
Still looks fun though. I especially like the hallway maze sequence and the long projection at the end.
Scooby Doo episodes are normally about 8-10 minutes long each.
XMizzTuraX Not to be “that guy”, but episodes of the original Scooby-Doo series and What’s New, Scooby-Doo both run about 20 minutes without commercials. Are some of the other series shorter than that?
That was was pretty fun! Not a tech masterpiece, but the hall of doors was a fun tribute and effect!
If their mouths moved it would add so much life to this attraction.
AryaLumpyhead this is why Disney kills the competition
James Wood lol as if just Disney got animatronics
There is nothing like that
It’s like Homeward Bound HAHAHA
@@jameswood530 universal
Fun Fact! You have to ride it 3 times in different car to experience 3 new scenes. *Here's one of the scenes starting at 1:57 - 2:15.
Warner Bros World Theme Park is currently the World's Largest Indoor Theme Park follow by IMG World of Adventure indoor theme park in Dubai. Warner Bros World opened July 25, 2018.
a very interesting fact. it's amazing how the ride is played out. do you like scooby doo?
Yea! I know right! It’s so cool!
Mystic Manor also
Shaggy needed to use 16.51% of his power to make this ride.
The fact that this is all the original voice cast makes me so happy
The spotlight was really neat. You're riding a Scooby Doo episode. The kids and fans will love it. Just like Hannah Barbara there's not much to look at so you focus on the story and less moving parts means less maintenance so less money spent. It's clever in it's own way though they could have programmed the track cycle a little better. Better than the tractor ho-down any day.
Do a tom and jerry ride pls
a tom and jerry ride is a good idea
Animatronic can be better but the ride does capture the show. Why would they but it in Dubai that majority of American wouldn’t go.
Scooby Doo is known all over the world, not only in America. ;)
These parks are seeking foreign tourists, not locals, so it is trying to appeal to foreign tastes. Attempting to convert to a massive tourist destination has been one of their main goals for what feels like over a decade now.
Its in Abu Dhabi btw but all I have to say is what the second reply said
@@IHARumor "Known all over" is not a synonym of popular all over, it barely means it exists. Outside of North America, Scooby Doo is popular nowhere. It's an outer edge cartoon buisiness brand.
@@Wig4 It seemed the original post implied that only Americans know Scooby Doo. Which is far from true. I live in Europe and I'm pretty sure if you ask a random person on the street who Scooby Doo is, they'll know. However, popularity-wise you might be right. The show is not as popular (outside of North America I guess) as it used to be.
Speaking as someone who's been on this ride, it was actually quite effective with the sounds and the lights. you get a different experience each time you get on the ride due to the monsters differing with each cart you get in. It is quite a tame ride though and it isn't the best in the park but it's worth the ride. My dad liked all the nods to the original cartoons and my mum and sister had a good laugh on it. The thing that impressed me was the fact it had no tracks and was all motion sensors
3/5 for a rating if you're in for a family fun ride go check it out!
I liked it. It could be improved with some better animatronics, but I won’t complain. The hallway effect was great but perhaps the best thing was the projection at the end that moved across the entire large room. That is not easy to pull off and frankly looked better than a lot of the shadow projection effects I have seen Disney use. Particularly in the Pirates of the Caribbean at Disneyland which is so faint you can’t even see and often breaks.
Wait where in potc is the shadow? You talking about the Mickey shadow thing over the fort?
tom link As you leave the pirate ship bay, the fort on the left has a sword fighting scene that you can often barely see. A lot of times it doesn’t work at all. I have never understood why considering Disney’s budget and number of employees to maintain things.
Even for the static figures, it's still a good looking ride! Definitely looks like fun. :3
Only critique is there is a lot of space taking away from the character of the ride
Too static, just like every other dark ride at Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Do they even know what "animatronic" means?
Plastic puppet with one single movement. 😅
Not every dark ride can be on the same quality level as Disney you know
@@masterknife8423 yeah but considering it's a Warner bros owned park that probably cost a lot, I expected at least a quality similar to Efteling dark rides (and that's not a disney/universal park!).
You have a point, certainly better animated characters exist (Pandora - The World of Avatar), in particular, has a beautifully animated character.
My counterpoint would be that the original Hanna Barbara animation style was extremely limited - so having very simplistic animation is actually in keeping with the look of the original episodes. Lots of looping backgrounds in chase scenes, repeated run/walk cycles, motionless characters talking (to save on animation, just like with early anime).
I do generally agree that these rides aren't as amazing as they could be - but I thought this was a relatively successful translation of the original look of the cartoon and a very successful translation of what a typical story would have been like.
Jason P. That would be ok but they should at least move their mouths and maybe even blink a little?
This is so so cute! The hallway of doors made me smile so big, the whole thing felt just like an actual episode!
Big Scooby Doo fan here. Say what you want about the ride itself, but it nails the feel of the show. Gonna check this out when I'm in Abu Dhabi next.
こうゆうファンタジーな怖さのアトラクションめっちゃ好き(´˘`*)
I have to admit even though this attraction is lacking a lot that scooby and shaggy animatronic ride vehicle in the chase scene was pretty cool.
People in the comments saying it lacks a similar magic to Disney are right, but to be fair Disney has an enormous team of engineers, creatives, a massive budget, and 60 years of experience. These other park rides are often put together by an engineer and someone with some knowledge of the intellectual property but that’s really it.
Yeah, exactly. You also have to consider that it's a risk building rides like this overseas, especially if the IP aint that great like Scooby Doo. Any Disney animation made into rides is like an automatic win cause it's Disney. The people who built this probably was playing it safe .
Well if it's in dubai or wherever, they have enough money to build islands and to make a ski slope in the desert, and the tallest empty building in the world, they should go above and beyond anything that's done at Disney and make these rides so we all go "WOW".
While it's an obvious step above Motiongate, it's still kind of soulless. Too much open and empty space without a whole lot going on, and the animatronics, if you can call them that, are stiff and lifeless.
これ前にライドが見えるとか、一緒に乗ってる人がいるとかならいいけど、完全に1人だったら確実に私こわがってる
Wow, Six Flags needs this ride!
Is it at Six Flags?
Universal Studios has the rights to Scooby-Doo. Although I would love to see a Warner Bros theme park in Oregon though.
From your comment to God's ears. Especially that there are absolutely no Warner Bros Theme Parks at all. For now anyway.
Josh Berman Well in the US there’s two in Spain & Australia with Abu Dhabi as the newest park.
That's cool.
The hallway chase scene is probably my favorite part of the ride.
Feels like I’m inside a classic Scooby cartoon. A lot of fun and charm!
1. I like that the vans that you ride in are elevated, so you it doesn't matter if you sat on the front or back, you get to see it.
2. It is very obvious that you need to ride the ride a few times, in different cars to get the most of the ride. It seems that the cars get different scenes and such. I think that is actually kind of cool, and works for that theme park, but it wouldn't work in north american theme parks where they are very busy.
The biggest mystery here is: why would anybody ever launch an empty ride vehicle on a TRACKLESS ride? Surely that defeats it's purpose on several levels
There was nobody in que and the loading station gets cramped
Am I the only one who thinks all these rides in are very generic compared to what Disney does?? There is no magic to these rides at all whatsoever.
Not everywhere has a Disney budget, mate...
Loki Laufeyson VII still they can at least keep it interesting
yes, this ride is not very interresting, what Disney does is much better.
There’s just something about Disney. We spent a couple days there in January and one day at Universal. While Universal has some cool rides, it definitely doesn’t have the Disney magic.
@@silentaccent This is reasonably interesting. Legoland too, the place of many a British child's childhood, mine included. We don't have massive budgets here so the animatronics do lack a little (not to mention they're about 30 - 50 years old), but there's a special kind of Lego magic there.
Including a vehicle with Scooby, Shaggy, and the ghost was a really nice touch
I want to get on this Ride .. Scooby doobie doooooooooo !!!
I love shaggy an scooby 😂💖 my two favs
Ok... time for a useless meme... Shaggy used 0.000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001% of his power to make this ride
When I saw the video I was looking for shaggy meme, you didnt fail me
I built the "Shaggy in net" scene. The part where he is hanging in ...a net. Along with a few more props throughout this ride hahaha
@@duffhole6304 Cool! I have a question though, what are props made of??
@@pandaparkconstructions2975 , the exterior is fiberglass. Steel construction fitted inside the character for rigidness/mechanical applications. I was a welder/fabricator for this project.
@@duffhole6304 Woah, that's cool! Nice work by the way!
What a well done dark ride! Very modern, but very reminiscent of older rides. Loved it! 😍
Wow. I was pretty impressed by that section where all the vehicles are running around the hallways. That needs trackless vehicles, they did a great job with this!
乗ってみたいw
I liked it because Scooby-Doo and his Mystery Inc. Gang are the Best on Solving Mysteries, Facing Villains, Ghosts and Monsters, and The Mystery Machine. Also The Scooby-Doo Movies are part of my Awesome-athon and I hope there's going to be another Scooby-Doo Movie soon.
I went through the comments before I watched it just to see what people had to say first and all I read was people saying it could be better or it isn’t all that great so I gave it a watch and decided that was actually a pretty cool ride! Every room was pretty cool and the effects was simple yet effective! Overall I like this ride a lot and think people should really calm down on what they compare it too.
This ride has nothing on the Scooby doo ride from six flags. I believe it was called Scooby doo and the haunted swamp. It was amazing
That was pretty good.
I love Scooby-Doo
Re roo.
Wish I was even near Dhabi to go on this ride big fan of Scooby-Doo!
Okay. This ride looks awesome! This ride alone makes me want to go to the park!
I like how shaggy and Scooby have there own autonomous vehicle
Haha! I love the bit when Scooby and Shaggy are in a ride vehicle 😂 So cute.
I like that it feels like you’re in an episode and the references to the classic episodes.
Wow! This trackless concept is completely new to me and I'm super impressed by this type of ride mechanic! I just imagine how cool other rides would be if they removed the tracks and rebuilt them to be trackless. So cool
This is what universal should have done a long time ago...fools
Really a strange design to this ride, in that it feels less like a ride through a creepy old house, and more like you're riding through an art museum and looking at animatronic exhibits. The production is good, but that museum aspect is a little distracting.
スクービードゥ子供の頃大好きでよく見てたなぁ、コロナ収まったら乗りに行きたい…!!
A ride like this at toon lagoon at universal would be amazing
pro tip: If the animatronics in your ride move less than "It's a Small World" you're doing it wrong.
I like how the cart looks like The Mystery Machine.
I been wanting a Scooby-Doo dark ride in the US for the longest this is so amazing
4:48
Probably the greatest rendition of the theme yet
Ahh yes. I have ridden it 3 times and it has been among my favorite dark rides in the park. It doesn't need elaborate tech, but good story telling and great voice acting. And you can find all of it here for a decent ride time. And thank you for the wonderful video. But yeah, the queue is also part of the attraction and very elaborate.
It's like being in a Sooby Doo cartoon. Really well done!
Happy 50th Anniversary Scooby-Doo
My global impression is : a quick run through a trade show hall with 70% of booths not hired out, and those tenants who are in the show, lacking public for their trade .... lol
This is undeniably low-budget, but it's honestly kinda adorable because of it.
This is the best recent dark ride from a non disney/universal park in my opinion. It still has flaws such as the semi static figures and the wasted open space but the story telling is good and the way the ride moves within the hall way scene was very well done! Thanks for filming and sharing these rides from other parks!
Shaggy Rogers use 9000% of his powers
This is such a cool and awesome Scooby Doo ride!💜😍👍🏻
This Warner Bros Park is like the only Dubai theme park that looks like actual effort was put into it
It’s in Abu Dhabi, not Dubai!
This ride is interesting even though guests are in the process of putting themselves in metaphor of the characters that Hanna-Barbera made in the '70s. 👍🏻 if you agree and like to read mysteries in your spare time at the same time.
Very well done. I love the seamless Scooby at 2:30. Awesome.
I’ll give the guys props for pulling off the Australian Shaggy
One of the better rides, but still sub par. Not sure if anyone in Abu Dhabi, ever heard of Scooby.. One of my favorite shows as a Kid!!! Thumbs up for sharing.
What’s different about this is in the old Scooby-Doo rides Fred, Daphne, and Velma only appeared in the end of the ride while they appeared more in this ride.
Shaggy’s magical immortal tour
This looks a fun ride. I never knew it existed. Thank you very much for presenting it.
I would want to go on that ride. Animatronics could be better, but it captures the aspects of scooby-doo properly.
Shaggy used 0.0001% of his power to make this ride
Wow what a great fantastic vlog wish it was me filming it as well love Scooby Doo grate vlog i enjoy seeing it
Oh man how disappointing. There’s loads of space not being used, the characters don’t move hardly at all and there’s no atmosphere in each scene. Look at Disney’s haunted mansion it is stuffed with loads of things to look at, cobwebs, tiny tiny details everywhere. Only good thing is that shaggy actor.
as a fan of scooby-doo, that looks so much fun!
0:12 i’ve never seen shaggy this nice since he used 0.01% of his power
Love the story and the amount of energy in here! Able to keep the ride interesting! And honesty, whilst animatronics would enhance this, they aren't essential to the ride
Imagine all these Abu Dhabi ride abandoned, with all those empty space. Scary....
I love it because I love Scoobydoo
I find it weird they'd invest in a trackless ride system, and such show accurate sculptures, but then skimp on effects and animatronics. The best analog to a disney park would be rebuilding Mr Toads wild ride with a trackless system, but leaving the ride otherwise exactly the same.
Otherwise it's nice to see a newer dark ride.
That was charming
When the professor said “I never used to believe in ghosts” I thought he was going to go into Zak Bagan’s “I never believed in ghosts until I came face to face with one” 😂
One of the best darkrides out there! So good!
Warner needs to open a real life spooky island I would get a season pass every year
The shadow part was the best part, it needs a lot of work.
This is the version of Scooby-Doo! The Museum of Mysteries Presented by McDonald's at DinoLand USA at Jordon's Animal Kingdom Theme Park and Safari and Cartoon Network Amazone Water Park and Animal Planet Zoo
The villain's motivation in this ride is the sin of greed. A majority of villains in this franchise were motivated by greed.
This one's accutally not bad! I could use more theming, and maybe even some in car speakers so you don't hear echos or other areas before you get there.
blackpool tower had the wonderful world of hanna barbera back in the late 70s early 80s you put your hand on the sensors to make each scene work and scooby doo was in this attraction it was very lavish for a uk theme ride
What is it about the Middle East and how they keep making subpar trackless dark rides?
When I was a kid kings island had the Scooby-Doo
Boat ride
It was my favorite
Looks pretty fun soon to visit this place looks exciting as well
Disney needs to pay attention to this sort of experience
There's alot of potential in this if they juat worked a little harder on some more theming and such, the exposed celing and long expanses of empty walls and the audio bleeding in from other show scenes breaks the immersion.
Mystic Manor in Honk Kong Disney Land is also a trackless ride with a somewhat similar plot of museum peices coming to life, of corse I don't expect this ride to be on par with Disney and thier seemingly infinite money but oh the potential is there.
I will say that it’s definitely the best ride at this Dubai park. Not a high bar to pass, but still it’s ok
Its not in Dubai. This is UAE Dubai is a city in the uae . And Abudahbi is the capital.
OMG thus is the coolest ride ever
Thank you for posting this video, and make us ride also . Ride is so nice in Warner Brothers Abu Dhabi, Just visit also our site Vicky and Aaron's Adventure.
I love this ride
I love every video of you. I hve ssen many onride videos, You are the best!!!!
They used to have an awesome scooby doo ride and spongebob ride at Canada’s wonderland but now they don’t have the same themes because paramount doesn’t own the park anymore 😭😭 They used to be my favourites.
Cute ride. Basic Scooby Doo set up lol but cute
Pretty terrible looking ride. It looks so bare and empty and fake
Just like that really irritating Small World Boat Ride at both annoying Disney Parks.
Simonne yep nothing is interconnected. It’s just space, rectangle for a scene, space... another rectangle
Simonne of course it’s fake lol or do you think dogs can talk and ghosts exists
