So a month after cutting Caribou in January. He’s now being interviewed in February of 1974. But has no idea of the title yet or “what tracks” are going on it! Key word there.... “Tracks!” So they cut numerous. We know of Sick City, Cold Highway. Perhaps: snookeroo? And Ducktail Jiver. Wonder what else remains from those sessions? He makes it clear they pretty much knew what singles would be released already though.
1989 came and went…so many great j lyrics, song for guy, the man who never died, flintstone boy, and of course the classic Cartier..ldid I leave any out, songs he wrote the words to?
He has stated that Rod Stewart had been invited to play the role. Elton persuaded him not to accept it, and took the role in the end. He added that there has always been a kind of competition between them, although they are friends.
Great, thank you! Could you please upload David Frost Show S4 E75 (1971), the interview with director Franklin J. Schaffner, Janet Suzman, Michael Jayston, Tom Baker - for ''Nicholas and Alexandra''? Many thanks!
*_Sir Elton John; "The One" since early years. A remastered person, he's still standing after all this time and l'll love him and his music til'the end of times 🤗💓🇧🇷🙏_*
This was actually in Australia in February 1974, also he mentions he recorded an album in America in January which would be the Caribou Album
This was February of 1974. Not 1975.
I just love him. and always will
It's probably the best Elton's appearance ever.

To me Chuck Berry doing it his own way is just part of the Chuck Berry legend.

Curious that Elton say's he wasn't interested in taking the offer for the film Tommy, but he did in the end - Pinball Wizard,!

@@michellourenco2905 that's interesting, I dont think Rod would have suited the role so well. They could have made him up as Uncle Ernie??!
