@@carcxsa4715 I've been playing cod since the beginning of cod 4 (17 years) and it was NEVER like that in my experience. People always gave props to snipers when they did well. I say this as someone who practically only used snipers in every cod game btw so I would remember all the people hating that you're talking about. I've actually only slowed down with sniping recently in cod specifically because its viewed as easy now for some reason and full autos apparently take more skill.
In CoD where time to kill for regular guns is fast, snipers are totally balanced for one shotting. But in X where regular gun takes longer to kill, I really think one shots here are op
the Flinch update completly ruined my sniper experience i cant even win normal long range gunfights anymore the flinch seems to be so high that i constantly get knocked around in close and long range gunfights to not being able to hit my shots, i mean they definitly needed that flinch nerf but they overshot it i think. And it feels like either the cleaner class with the fire makes it worse or shots going near you also making you flinch aswell
the snipers feel very balanced especially with the movement in this game. if someone has a full mobility smg or ar as a phantom its really fucking hard to kill that player every time if they are hopping around with extra health AND using their shields.
It’s only hard because jump spam atm desyns your character and breaks the hitbox, making you invincible at times. So even with a sniper or shotgun they still wouldn’t die. It’s already a known bug that people are exploiting.
I mean the marksman rifles are 2 shot kills and you can shoot faster soooo you would think that would he the bigger complaint. Honestly the weapon balancing in this game is pretty amazing. After sniper flinch is added I think the game is in a great spot.
snipers do not need nerfs. the most fun ive had gaming in a long time is running it down and quick scoping with the tac-50 in this game which is extremely punishable. and as for camping with a sniper that means they arent playing objective and you can just close the distance with sheilds or invis cloak. so many easy counters to snipers in this game is actually wild

The fire rate and the sprint to fire speed is so bad tho and I use the heavy barrel sometimes on the tac and constantly still get hit markers. I don’t mind the ads but when it comes to sprint to fire they need to decrease it
theres no reason to use heavy barrel on tac. it increases damage by 5% but you will still hitmarker to arm and leg, and oneshot to body and head with or without it
Hard agree on the flinch when ads starts. Quickscoping is valid. If you get slammed by a qs you got owned. The problem with the no flinch is that people who arent good at quickscoping will stand there and just hardscope you which indicates a positional issue within the sniper classes. hardscoping is meant to be used long range where there is no risk to you or no one can shoot you. If you are cqc and you're qsing theres risk and thats valid if you're good.
I don’t know if they are overpowered or not. I’ve been sniping since mainly bo2. I also play like a sniper. I know the lanes. I know the spawns. When I jump a corner I’m already ADS. Snipers should have flinch definetly. But Snipers are the same problem that shotguns are in FPS games.
What’s up Kitty loving the XDefiant videos! I was messing around with the M44 in the practice range and the heavy barrel and for upper chest shots you go from 112 damage to 118. This isn’t enough to one shot someone using phantoms unless you use the cleaners faction for the burn damage but the burn damage will kill them to the upper chest regardless of the extra 5% damage(takes a little longer because of how the ticks of damage work) you’re definitely better than me so I was just wondering if there really is a point to using the heavy barrel if you one shot every other faction to the upper chest and have to get headshots on phantom players regardless what barrel you use?
Really wish they'd fix the sprint out with the tac 50 feels so inconsistent how I can aim slow as hell then rapid, confuses me either be really slow or really fast

People who complain about snipers on this game rarely use them. Almost half the shots are himarkers unless your damn near hitting majority headshots upper body. Gl doing that while the phantom class is hopping strafing and you’re hitting all legs.
Use em all the time and go quad positive almost every time I use them. It’s obvious you don’t watch the videos you comment on as he hardly gets any hit markers. Tac50 is a 1 shot almost anywhere if you’re gettin hit markets with it u suck at sniping 😂
Thank god snipers are getting a nerf, they are completley broken atm. The TTK in this game is too high for a body 1 shot kill, especially given the low flinch and fast ads. To challenge a sniper at anything other than point blank range, you essentially have to hope the sniper is incompetent and misses (unless you are rushing with an SMG). You can beam the sniper at close or mid range and they can kill you for free. That's not fun to play against, and I know there are a lot of sniper enjoyers here, but I'd argue it's not fun either. Maybe it's because I come from high TTK games like Dirty Bomb, The Finals, and TF2, but I'm used to 1 shot headshots only, or needing multiple headshots to drop a target. If the scope in time is this fast, it should be a 1 shot headshot only. You can easily quickscope with that, and I do it all the time in those games. However, it will take skill to actually do it. Right now, sniping is piss easy, and I'm pretty sure anyone seasoned FPS player can pick up a sniper and hit a quad feed without trying. It's not fun or healthy at all for the game. I'm way more impressed atm by the person running the M4 that does well in a game
You're 100% right. CoD players have been deluded into thinking One Shot body shots is normal and ok. And they're so entitled to kills, they can't see the value of reducing an enemy to almost dead instead of totally dead. To them if snipers couldn't one shot to the body, than they would be useless and nobody would use them.

TF2 and DB also have crazier and faster movement than this game, so if people can snipe just fine in those games, pretty sure people can in XDefiant. It will just piss off the casual players who have poor aim and reflexes, because it will be slightly harder and they will no longer be able to pretend they're skilled, lol.

The tac 50 is single handedly the strongest weapon in the game right now. I'm all for stronger slower snipers one shot to the body, it's not unprecedented. But when there is zero flinch and attachments that elevate the gun to negate any and all drawbacks nah fam. I could equip the tac 50, put my cat on my keyboard and watch in horror as she scrambles across my desk mashing keys and still getting kills with this stupid ass gun.

when i started XD i was like i hate snipers, now I'm fine with snipers and hate smgs lol, i think the only fixes i want is better hit reg/ not being shot round corners, sniper flinch and slightly faster weapon xp gain( sure you have loads of xp time but just feel that without xp it takes slightly to long to gain 1 level)

Snipers are ruined right now, they will be fixed. You can tell how broken they are by the fact that I have god like games whenever I play one and I am never good with snipers usually. Can't wait for all the people finding out that they are not actually good snipers in a week lol
I think it's great that snipers one shot. They should, as it's a reward for having good aim. Like many others have said though, the lack of flinch is the problem. There is no way you should be able to land consecutive hits on a sniper as you watch them stand there menacingly, glare of impending doom not moving an inch, and line up their shot before they blow you into next week. With the flinch nerf snipers will now have to take into account modding their weapon around it. Especially with hit reg so random that you'd swear you're shooting crayons 😂On the flip side, snipers are not that easy to use when you have people bunny hopping everywhere and Echelon agents moving at the speed of light with their smgs. Idk where people got the idea that sniping was braindead
They need to be nerfed because they are ridiculously easy to use especially with the lack of flinch when shot. Glad they are working on the flinch issue and fixing the bug next week. If it's still as ridiculous then I hope and expect them to adjust it. It is not fair considering how long the TTK is and how there is zero punishment when shot as a sniper.

yes snipers shuld 1 shoot. but how and wen depends on the game. more skill neded fore the game more skill need fore sniping. so in a casual game like Xdefiant is it absolutly ok tho 1 shoot on the torso and the head. but in other games like battlefield wher you need more skill fore the weapons is it also clear that you need a head shoot fore the 1 shoot.

The idea that Snipers have always been one shot weapons in arena shooters is a disingenuous rewriting of FPS history. In the vast majority of multiplayer FPS shooters, snipers have always required a headshot to get a one shot kill. The only notable exception is CoD with their gracious body shots. Sniping is overpowered in XDefiant and it's not as hard of a skill as most people gas up. The ADS time for a Sniper is faster than the vast majority of automatic weapons especially if you also have to account for their ADS speed.
aggressively sniping is way harder than flying around a corner with an SMG/ar. It's simply a skill issue if you're getting bodied by a sniper upclose. If you're dying at far range... its a no brainer.

Their ADS speed is faster than almost every full auto TTK's + ADS times. But it's nice to know they'll be more susceptible to flinching. I feel like the game will have a better flow and feel more rewarding for everyone if snipers had more of a challenge.
It would piss me off if they nerf anything other than flinch, just because everyone with a skill issue cries when they get one out of 30 games that get shat on by a sniper then say it's OP. I still haven't been impressed or annoyed against a sniper, even camping in Escort I can just go invisible and avoid campers. Up close I get DOMINATED or when there's more than one looking at me, it's extremely hard when they jump around like little boys and to dodge people spraying and praying smgs with aim assist.
I think you are missing part of the equation. Snipers plus aimbot, wall banging, glitches wreck games. Snipers are of course associated with most cheating because of one shot capabilities and distance.

Eh I am fine with snipers getting flinch added to them, a large part of the players that do sniper are fine with it as well. Right now they have zero flinch, so there is isn't a ton of counterplay to them outside of flanking. They just need to find a good middle ground for flinch, if it's way too much, it could make snipers almost useless, but way too little and it does nothing.

Yes, snipers are overpowered. If a good AR player goes against a good sniper player, you lose every time. They need to make it much more difficult to hit the shot if you are shot first. This is coming from a sniper user (on PC). Sniping is just too easy and consistent in my opinion.

I don't have an issue with them aside from the fact they have literally no flinch at all. It's really annoying to put bullets down range and not have their aim move at all, and tank everything and just put you down.
They literally took the flinch for snipers out of the game because they couldn't get it right for release. So it is completely missing. That is the pure definition of overpowered. If I shoot a sniper in the face with my LMG and he can calmly place a headshot on me while being shot in the face without any flinch....yeah that is broken. If you can't see how all of this is overpowered, you are just a clown.
@@moodys9855except you actually have to be accurate with a sniper otherwise it’s pointless to even use. If a sniper misses a shot on you or gets a hit marker in the fight then he should never win. Flinch is simply an obstacle placed in front of accurate snipers to make it harder to hit shots which is fair but trust me there is going to still be good snipers when they add flinch and you’re still going to get slapped from time to time because there are skilled snipers out there.

when i started XD i was like i hate snipers, now I'm fine with snipers and hate smgs lol, i think the only fixes i want is better hit reg/ not being shot round corners, sniper flinch and slightly faster weapon xp gain( sure you have loads of xp time but just feel that without xp it takes slightly to long to gain 1 level)
weekends seem to have double xp gain btw

I think the issue with snipers is the 0 flinch stuff.

I think it's great that snipers one shot. They should, as it's a reward for having good aim. Like many others have said though, the lack of flinch is the problem. There is no way you should be able to land consecutive hits on a sniper as you watch them stand there menacingly, glare of impending doom not moving an inch, and line up their shot before they blow you into next week. With the flinch nerf snipers will now have to take into account modding their weapon around it. Especially with hit reg so random that you'd swear you're shooting crayons 😂On the flip side, snipers are not that easy to use when you have people bunny hopping everywhere and Echelon agents moving at the speed of light with their smgs. Idk where people got the idea that sniping was braindead
They need to be nerfed because they are ridiculously easy to use especially with the lack of flinch when shot. Glad they are working on the flinch issue and fixing the bug next week. If it's still as ridiculous then I hope and expect them to adjust it. It is not fair considering how long the TTK is and how there is zero punishment when shot as a sniper.
headshot multiplier is key, if you can land shots in the head w/ the smgs/ars, the ttk is very fast. all depends if you are accurate

They should be buffed. M44 way too many hitmarkers. 5 bullets and slow reloads. Tac50 is decent.
The idea that Snipers have always been one shot weapons in arena shooters is a disingenuous rewriting of FPS history. In the vast majority of multiplayer FPS shooters, snipers have always required a headshot to get a one shot kill. The only notable exception is CoD with their gracious body shots. Sniping is overpowered in XDefiant and it's not as hard of a skill as most people gas up. The ADS time for a Sniper is faster than the vast majority of automatic weapons especially if you also have to account for their ADS speed.
aggressively sniping is way harder than flying around a corner with an SMG/ar. It's simply a skill issue if you're getting bodied by a sniper upclose. If you're dying at far range... its a no brainer.

Their ADS speed is faster than almost every full auto TTK's + ADS times. But it's nice to know they'll be more susceptible to flinching. I feel like the game will have a better flow and feel more rewarding for everyone if snipers had more of a challenge.

I still haven't been impressed or annoyed against a sniper, even camping in Escort I can just go invisible and avoid campers. Up close I get DOMINATED or when there's more than one looking at me, it's extremely hard when they jump around like little boys and to dodge people spraying and praying smgs with aim assist.
I think you are missing part of the equation. Snipers plus aimbot, wall banging, glitches wreck games. Snipers are of course associated with most cheating because of one shot capabilities and distance.
cheaters wouldnt use snipers in this game theyd use sv98 with heavy barrel. 1 shot headshot and you dont have to chamber after every round.

Eh I am fine with snipers getting flinch added to them, a large part of the players that do sniper are fine with it as well. Right now they have zero flinch, so there is isn't a ton of counterplay to them outside of flanking. They just need to find a good middle ground for flinch, if it's way too much, it could make snipers almost useless, but way too little and it does nothing.

Agreeing that they should have flinch and being disappointed by how XDef is prioritizing updates aren’t mutually exclusive. Yes, snipers are overpowered. If a good AR player goes against a good sniper player, you lose every time. They need to make it much more difficult to hit the shot if you are shot first. This is coming from a sniper user (on PC). Sniping is just too easy and consistent in my opinion.

I don't have an issue with them aside from the fact they have literally no flinch at all. It's really annoying to put bullets down range and not have their aim move at all, and tank everything and just put you down.

Flinch is simply an obstacle placed in front of accurate snipers to make it harder to hit shots which is fair but trust me there is going to still be good snipers when they add flinch and you’re still going to get slapped from time to time because there are skilled snipers out there.
