I wouldn't say that Micky sounds the same as he did back in the 60's. Don't get me wrong, his vocal still sounds amazing. Though it has undoubtedly been affected by age. Although I think the way he sings might have something to do with it. Since Micky's overall singing style did change in late 1967 - early 1968. Which is evident when you compare songs like 'Randy Scouse Git (Alternate Title)' to songs like 'Shake 'Em Up (and Let 'Em Roll)'. Peter is probably the Monkee whose singing voice changed the least in my opinion. Though it's not always easy to tell since there aren't a lot of songs where he sang lead.

This version is a lot more listenable than the Michael Buble version which totally gets so overplayed every Christmas season. It's so good to heat Papa Nez sing this one. Fantastic rendition! Thanks for posting this!

Mike sang this Christmas classic great and the music and production is amazing. The whole Christmas Party CD is worth getting if you haven't checked it out yet.
