Having been there these were much better times when simple things made you happy. The days before supermarkets, mobile phones, computers, designer labels, expensive cars and all the other desires that induce the greed and need today. A time when neighbour's mattered.
We used to have a fireplace just like that. Sometimes a burning log would pop and send a little spark out onto the rug. Dad would jump up and stamp on it and a few minutes later we could smell burning wool. 😊 Thanks for sharing this video it took me back nearly sixty years to some very happy times. 😘
Yep coal fires and pokers, fire guards... I remember my mum getting the fire going with a shovel and a, piece of paper up against the fire, my brother once fell and burnt his, arm on the grate dangerous times, but I miss my mum god bless and keep you wherever you may be mum thank you for bringing me up and looking after me 🙏
