Finally someone spoke about this! It is super annoying! Not everyone will have that particular bank debit/credit card! The worst part is even the reviewers mention that same price, and not the actual price! It's unethical, annoying and misleading!

Add to this, another scam is where they claim No-Cost EMI as a discount upfront during payment, but in reality your bank will levy charges + the gst.

Requesting creators to point out this misleading pricing? Creators are the one who's getting benifit from it by showing the net affective price on their thumbnail. They getting more clicks because of this.
You're wrong, creators will get views any which way. It's us who are fooled and brands get the benefit .
And one more thing I noticed recently when I wanted to purchase a phone. When the exchange is applied, the price reduces below a threshold price where the bank offer doesn't work. How the hell are they doing all this without any consequences?

The 2k exchange bonus is such a shitty offer. Even after adding the 2k, I can easily sell my phone well over the offered price. It's only good when the phone is > 4 years old

Even nothing did this on 2a they announced the price of 19,999 and so i extended my 15k budget to 20k then on the launch date it wasn't really 20k it was 24k i cannot extend my again so ended with other one disappointed kinda sad too

Finally .. there's tons of videos about some older flagships / flagship killers being sold for 33k 44k along with cards and discounts and promo codes and what else , If not , it's about 6/7k more .. how is everyone gonna have all the bank cards , all the sellers' subscriptions ? It's a scam and Indian tech community, specially the creators are guilty for turning a blind eye to this. Great to hear this from you. ❤
Hi Harsh, there are a lot of layers involved now in a making + marekting of a smartphone. There are brand partnerships, internal collabs with marketplaces like Amazon and Flipkart as well as Bank tie-ups. Keeping the consideration of all stakeholders in mind, a brand has to market and price the product. There are smartphones with disruptive pricing category as well, but all of them are mostly Chinese brands (POCO, Xiaomi, Realme) + they don't provide longer software upgrades/poor after sales services. Quality itself doesn't feel good. Hence all these things need to be kept in mind by the customers before purchasing any smartphone.
That exchange bonus is the real scam honestly because they'll offer like 45k for my prestine 15 pro and then say we'll give you a 2k bonus if you exchange it like anyone is brainless enough to do so.

Tech wiser made a video about how companies fool customers, they pointed out this launch price thing, but they also use launch price in their thumbnails and titles🤣🤣

Moreover if they value your phone at 5k, they most likely wont offer 5k + 2k exchange bonus. They will reduce the price to 3k and then top it with the so called 2k exchange bonus and you will end up getting only 5k discount in the end which sucks.

Even if we decide to exchange our mobile, not all mobiles are listed for exchange and only specific models are listed. Today checked in Amazon for buying Realme gt 6t with exchange and my realme X mobile is not at all listed. Then how can we buy at net effective price. This is definitely a scam and needs to the named and shamed

First off they create a FOMO, second, offer an unrealistic discount, last, customer gets trapped ending up buying the product at its original price which is the pre discount one. The psychology of a seller and a buyer. Greed and fear respectively.
Always it is the consumers.. Not the companies... It's the strategy of the brands.. Most of the consumers who get the mobile to the net effective price.. Feels like he achieved something and shared it to the family and friends..
